I don’t really get what “bottles of tea” even means? Weird. Like kombucha? Some Nestea? Yeah, exactly that. Like go into a gas station/convenience store and grab a drink type of thing.

We still have a monitor in j and N's room. It's for her though since she's still in the crib..she says she will move to a big bed when she stops wear diapers at night, which is logical.

I remember the room moms in my elementary school organizing big year-end gifts, like a day spa gift card or a gift certificate to the mall, etc. Bottled tea and chocolates is definitely a head-scratcher.

We just got back a little while ago from the drive-thru light display at the botanical gardens. This is our third year of doing it and It's really pretty incredible...it's made national lists of "top 10 things to do at Christmas", etc. The kids loved it and hearing their oohs and ahhs from the backseat was so cute. C passed out on the way home so we were able to successfully transfer her to bed, and B went straight to sleep, too. Now watching Flip or Flop with hot chocolate.

I just wrapped the 3 biggest boxes for the boys. It's not much but I had some sort of mental block keeping me from getting started. Now doing a few packages a night suddenly feels doable.

You guys, I’m so annoyed at MH. He’s been home for weeks and hasn’t wrapped anything. Then he asks me, ‘do you want to wrap gifts tonight?’
Actually husband, NO I dont want to wrap gifts that should have been done by you during the day whilst you did nothing.
I’m ready to put on my fab coat and supermodel walk right outta here.

M2’s daycare had the teachers do a favorite things list and give one to all the parents. I LOLed at the afternoon teacher’s list. She started back in October and you can tell she is inexperienced/young. I had a few issues, but nothing too bad. Some of her favorite things included grapes, eyelashes, and fashion nova. LOLOLOL she’s getting a Target GC to buy her own eyelashes and grapes. I have access to our pre schools favorite things spreadsheet as a room parent, and it's comical. They have columns for favorite book genre, TV shows, sport teams, snacks. Like I'm picking out books for them😂. The stores and snacks are helpful, I typically do a gift card to one of the stores and a bag with their favorite treats. Yeah. They could really just do favorite stores and then let everyone get gift cards. They got their gift cards with a nice pair of cozy socks. Thanks for taming my heathen and Merry Christmas!

I use to enjoy wrapping. Not so much anymore. C and I had an agreement where I would do all the shopping and he wraps but the last few years I’ve done everything. Including my own.

flamingo I felt terrible the other day. T’s class was making a mitten tree for a local homeless shelter. He asked everyday for forever if we could get some mittens. Everyday I’d say “sure tomorrow.” Got a group photo in front of the mitten tree with a thanks for all your donations letter from the teacher the other day, never got the mittens.

I love wrapping! Give me all the ribbon and pretty bows. I'm with you! I love picking out wrapping paper each year and I love using fabric ribbon. When the RH store I managed closed, I bought multiple 100+ yd spools of red grosgrain ribbon that was used for holiday gift-wrapping for about 50 cents each. I will probably be buried with some of that stuff I also saved all the dark green that came with our wedding gifts from Williams-Sonoma. We got married in '12 and I'm down to my last couple pieces, so I may have to cave and buy more dark green next year. trtlcrzy my H is also not a great wrapper...I do not know how you can make a box look lumpy but somehow he manages. I do all the wrapping except for gifts he gives me. I also still wrap for my dad when we go home for Xmas, lol. I guess that is just my lot in life!

I don’t usually get super fancy with ribbons and bows though. This is my DH’s great quality wrapping skills. He used the special paper I have set aside for santa gifts...and packing tape.

I'm horrible at wrapping. MH gets really into wrapping things all fancy and prefers to do it himself. That's great and all, but he also procrastinates and if I just left it to him he'd be wrapping everything Christmas eve night.

I LOVE wrapping. I used to work at a toy store in my college days and we let people drop off their gifts and we would wrap them. It was part of our training to learn how to wrap anything. We even made our own bows. 🎁🎁🎁 trtlcrzy that makes my heart hurt

Santa is too lazy for bows & ribbons. They'd get smashed in his sack. My MIL never wrapped Santa gifts. From the parent perspective, it's brilliant. But from the kid perspective, unwrapping was the best part.

tgrimes, Santa only brings one present in our house, plus the stuff in the stocking. Normally he wraps it, but this year it's the freaking LOL house and I think I might put it together the night before and just put a bow on its roof without wrapping it. But, I haven't decided yet because I don't know how many pieces it comes in. It would be easier to wrap a big ass box then put together a big ass house. Choices choices....

No matter what your putting it together. Do you want to do it with or without a kid asking you to hurry?
