Morning...wait almost afternoon everyone! My new coat that I chose after the great coat shop of 2019 came last night and I am in love. The quality is amazing, fit is perfect etc everything is perfect. So naturally I'm walking like a supermodel on a runway everywhere I go with it on.  |

vino you're so cute.  flamingo I'm probably not as tinfoil hat as I should be about modern tech. I'm like give me all the Alexas. But I find some of the camera stuff weird. The last article I read about Ring being hacked was a couple who put a camera in their daughter's room "for safety." The kid was like 8 or 9 and it didn't appear like SN was an issue. Why does a 9 yo need a camera baby monitor? Sheesh. At some point you have to give your kid some privacy and space.

This is totally random, but I found this book series that has editions for both girls and boys at different age groups to give factual info about anatomy and body changes (all those lovely awkward conversations to have with our kids). I haven't read any yet but they were highly reviewed and looked really good. I was thinking of getting this one for Maddie. She's been a bundle of joy lately. Basically any frustration manifests as anger and she gets really mean. She's 8 and I think some of it is the beginning of hormones and changes starting. I was blessed with puberty at 9 so I wouldn't be surprised if it's around the corner for her. |

Hi! Busy week here. I helped at Hs school Tuesday with their Christmas craft stations. Tomorrow is N’s party so I’ll help out there in the afternoon.
N passed to the next level of gymnastics this week! She is so excited and had been practicing her handstands morning and night so she would pass.
L is in a nap regression or something. He naps for literally 30 minutes on the dot. So I’m trying all the things to get him to nap longer. I put him down this morning and managed to scrub the floors and he woke up after exactly 30 minutes so that’s all I got done.
I’m getting the iPhone 11 tomorrow and oddly nervous about it. I don’t like change and used to consider myself pretty tech savvy, but I just feel like an old when it comes to apple products. So if you don’t hear from me after a few days, send tech support. Lol.

Question for y'all. I got Gift cards for all the teachers. Then I got an email that the class moms used some of the money we sent in at the beginning of the year to get Gift cards as well. I am friendly with one of the class moms and she said that she is not also sending a personal gift b/c the class gift is from everyone. Would you still send in the gift you got, or would you just keep it? Tomorrow is the last day of school so I need to decide by tonight Help! Typically I give something extra, but I have not done so yet and not sure I have the energy to. |

My friend in AL installed cameras in her house for her girls- 9th and 6th grade- because there was a period of 2-3 hours of them being home alone before she got home. She had an app where she could check on them. I can see myself possibly doing something like that when the boys are older so I don’t have to pay for aftercare. I would not put it in their room though. |

Oh man, am I the absolute worst? I didn't go to B's class holiday party (mostly b/c I have had a hair appt booked for forever, and also b/c kid-at-school time is my only opportunity to get stuff done) and one of the moms from the bday party this weekend just sent me a pic of B. In the background it looks like there are a bunch of parents there.
I feel like a slacker.

slenle I feel that nervousness and anticipation every time I get a new apple phone and every time have been almost let down. Besides a couple physical changes with the phones I find that since there are updates the change seems to be very, very minimal. Good luck though! I feel like a total boomer with technology sometimes.

Umm no, you are not the worst flamingo! Not at all. Kids act a little different with their parents are around, I'm a big advocate of let them have fun with their friends, family time is just around the corner...lots, and lots of family time. |

I mostly use it to check if he's awake before I hop in the shower b/c he tends to yell like a banshee for me in the mornings and I don't want him to yell while I'm in the shower and wake his brother up. He usually likes it in there - recently he has been worried about someone getting in the house (usually a monster or something) and he has been comforted by the fact that I can check to make sure he's ok. The other night was the first night he complained about it - we were in a fight and he said he didn't want me to see him. I told him if he promised to not get off his bed (the fight was about bedtime), that I would not watch him on the monitor. He was fine with that. |

He texted me a while ago saying the line to get into the school was like waiting on a ride at Disney. That’s crazy. Also it is so freaking cold that I skipped running AGAIN, so I ordered my treadmill this morning and am trying to give away my old one. FX someone takes it. I would take your treadmill. I was thinking about getting a used one to see if I would actually use it in the basement in the mornings. I have to do something to motivate myself! I’m also very sorry your morning was rough. I’m glad work is supportive. You are more than welcome to it if you can drive down. The only coworker who I've heard from lives in NH and was sad she couldn't come get it. |

Nope, I went to C's today but it's the first class party I've ever gone to and there were only 3 parents there helping for 2 classes of kids. L’s school is doing ugly Christmas sweater party today and his class is doing a gift exchange that’s books only. L has been having a hard time being good at school so I’m hoping he’s good today. I love the idea of a book exchange. That’s a great idea for a class present. That's what we're doing in Ms class. |

I’m exhausted. Stupid deadline is stressing me out and I was short with a coworker about something that has nothing to do with it, I felt bad so I sent her a text to apologise and she told me not to worry, but I still feel crappy. I just wrapped a ton of presents.
Dd suddenly has eczema on both her lower legs, it started as a few little bumps last weekend, but it has turned in to real patches. I had eczema as a child, but only during summer. Thoughts tips are welcome.
