Thanks, y’all. I volunteered to help out with reading once a week after the winter break, so hopefully the teacher won’t think I’m a total delinquent. I asked B if he’d like me to come to the next party and he said yes, I’m sure there’ll be one for Valentine’s Day 😂🤪 Glad you are happy with your coat, vino, did you end up with the jcrew one or something different?

Oh man, am I the absolute worst? I didn't go to B's class holiday party (mostly b/c I have had a hair appt booked for forever, and also b/c kid-at-school time is my only opportunity to get stuff done) and one of the moms from the bday party this weekend just sent me a pic of B. In the background it looks like there are a bunch of parents there. I feel like a slacker. Most of the parent's in M's class attended their party yesterday, too. I had to work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cadence's party only had a couple parents there. I was not one of them.

Given the timing of most of the parties and how far I work from home, it's unlikely I'll make it to many mid day parties.

nam2013 The only thing that's been working on M's eczema is Eucrisa. We've tried a few other prescriptions but this has been amazing. It was $$$ but I found a coupon online. I'm not sure if you'd be able to get it there.

I’ll go see my gp in Monday. For now it’s not to bad, but I’m worried because it’s spreading so fast.

I'm not sure if you'd be able to get it there. This is what we use. Our insurance won’t cover it but if you call the 800 number they set you up with their coupon—$35 for a tube. And frequent bathing is better for us than skipping a day.

I told her it was still $40 with my insurance but the coupon brought it down to $10. She never thought to look for a coupon. lol.

Apparently, the class gift to the teacher involved bottles of tea and chocolates. I'm a little annoyed by this, since all the parents put money in. The room mom asked for 20 and I gave 50. Where the fuck did that money go? Now I'm glad I gave her a gift card just from Cadence. This room mom sucks.

Was this taken out of the beginning of the year money or did she ask for money specifically for a Christmas gift? I hope there is a gift card along with that.

M2’s daycare had the teachers do a favorite things list and give one to all the parents. I LOLed at the afternoon teacher’s list. She started back in October and you can tell she is inexperienced/young. I had a few issues, but nothing too bad.
Some of her favorite things included grapes, eyelashes, and fashion nova. LOLOLOL she’s getting a Target GC to buy her own eyelashes and grapes.

It was taken at the beginning of the year and I know she used some of it for a wedding gift for the teacher. It makes me think she spent all the money on that and then went to the dollar store for today's gift. Or at least I hope that's what she did and didn't give her bottles of tea for her wedding too. 🤦

I don’t really get what “bottles of tea” even means?
Weird.
Like kombucha? Some Nestea?

They have columns for favorite book genre, TV shows, sport teams, snacks. Like I'm picking out books for them😂. The stores and snacks are helpful, I typically do a gift card to one of the stores and a bag with their favorite treats.

vino you're so cute. flamingo I'm probably not as tinfoil hat as I should be about modern tech. I'm like give me all the Alexas. But I find some of the camera stuff weird. The last article I read about Ring being hacked was a couple who put a camera in their daughter's room "for safety." The kid was like 8 or 9 and it didn't appear like SN was an issue. Why does a 9 yo need a camera baby monitor? Sheesh. At some point you have to give your kid some privacy and space. confession? I still have a monitor in S room. I mostly use it to check if he's awake before I hop in the shower b/c he tends to yell like a banshee for me in the mornings and I don't want him to yell while I'm in the shower and wake his brother up. He usually likes it in there - recently he has been worried about someone getting in the house (usually a monster or something) and he has been comforted by the fact that I can check to make sure he's ok. The other night was the first night he complained about it - we were in a fight and he said he didn't want me to see him. I told him if he promised to not get off his bed (the fight was about bedtime), that I would not watch him on the monitor. He was fine with that. I have cameras in both girls rooms still, but I don’t really ever turn them on. For H it was mostly because she is down in the basement alone and if S sleeps with her they mess around so we can yell at them.
