We're back in the pooping-while-sleeping phase. Except this morning he woke up at 5:30, pulled off his pants and pull-up, shit in his crib, and then yelled for us. So that was fun to wake up to. I wish he would get back on the schedule of going right before school. Then they don't have to worry about his potty dance and we also don't have SHIT IN THE CRIB. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY? Omg. that's so mean little gingy, Just poop IN the pull up and then yell.

Of course I probably would have ignored it because he's been waking up yelling "POOP IN PANTS!" I will not ignore his pre-6:00 am yells anymore.

Our friends who are potty training were complaining about their kid always pooping while sleeping but IN HIS DIAPER I'll be sure to let them know it could be SO MUCH WORSE.

The cherry on top of all of this is that he generally refuses to take off his own pants to use the toilet at home. He will at school, but he will get into a screaming, crying standoff at home about removing his own pants to pee.

gingy, I would be inclined to put him in a onesie/zip-up PJs/sleep sack for a while.

So looks like Iβll be shopping for PJs today! Mine sleeps in a sleep sack but insists on getting tucked in with BOTH blankets (I gave him a warmer one when it started getting colder), regardless of how warm it is, which he then kicks off. He also insists on taking his socks off and putting them inside the sleep sack and it brings him a lot of joy for some reason.

I bet his sleep sacks from last year will still fit, but I doubt he'll let us put him in one. I'll try tonight and see what happens. But footie PJs are happening regardless.

A sleepsack would probably inhibit his nightly routine of wandering around the crib to play with his buddies. Can't have that.

I have a friend whose kiddo was in sleep sacks until at least 3 to keep him from climbing out of the crib. That was our plan with DS until he started refusing them. He sleeps hot anyway, so itβs better for him to be able to kick off his blanket. And heβs never tried to climb out. ::knocks on wood::

Toddler: *fake cough* I'm coughing, that means I'm sick. Me: Are you really sick or are you faking it? Toddler: *fake cough* I'm faking it.
At least he tells the truth.

SO: Sleepsack/onesies - G is a penis puller like constantly. I thought that onesies would help. Newp, he just shoves his hand down the collar. Sleep sacks he just unzips. He will rezip once he is done with himself. He will grow out of his eventually, right?!?

Omg Iβm crying at penis puller. We do sleep sack bc heβs terrible with blanket and room can get cold / I get anxious about him Being cold even tho he runs warm. Now I can only hope it contains his penis pulling. He loves to play with it during diaper changes omg. I donβt think heβs realized he can shove his hand inside.

His room gets chilly and heβs not good with his blanket. This was my reasoning too, but F gave me a big all fuck off. I love watching him shuffle around in it. She probably doesn't want to look that silly.

Its working well over here! π I also have children who won't keep a blanket on and it gets chilly at night so I worry they get cold. D1 at 5 finally uses one more consistently.

You know all this penis pulling talk has me leaning towards rooting for a girl for #2. But then I think about having to do another little girls hair every night and I think I'll take my chances with the penises. Lol.

Preschool no longer wants us to help DD wipe when she poops and wants us to describe the action towards her. I'm at a loss and have no idea how to get this concept of "getting in there" π€¦ to her. I tried and it was a complete fail. Who do I throw money at to fix this problem?

Itβs not *that* bad, promise... it got DS1 to night train himself since he kept leaving his pull up down around his knees and getting upset he woke up soaked in bed π€·πΌββοΈ although, DS1 will never live down DH yelling at him during a diaper change βNo! Donβt masturbate with your own shit!β So there is that. I do find cleaning the boys down there is way easier than cleaning DD
