Ugh this seems to be a common phase for 2YOs but climbing out of the crib complicates things. When mine started fighting naps we started doing quiet time and that has been going pretty well but he is still in a crib. Iām.....not ready to ditch the crib, itās killing me. D1 was a crib unicorn till 3.5 and transitioned to a bed amazing. I donāt know this lyfe š Can you lower the mattress? I know with some cribs you can put the mattress on the floor.

My child is slowly killing me. He keeps asking "lessa" to play the Gummy Bear song and I might have to jump out a window if I hear it again. If you don't know what the Gummy Bear song is be grateful and NEVER show your child this song. Oh. I know this song. I know it well lol

Kida I am so sorry that you have had to endure this. At first I was like okay this isn't so bad.... Now that I have listened to is 50 times in the past 24 hours I am ready to go play in traffic.

I thought she was too young buuuuuuut maybe girlfriend is way smarter than I thought. Its been better the last day or so as far as fighting nap and trying to climb out so maybe we are slowly coming out of it. I put a new "special" blanket in there and keep talking it all up so its helping (well that and the backwards sleepsack) The separation anxiety is crazy! I never had this with my first. She is banging down the bathroom door wanting to come in. Simmer down child....

My kid is doing better at daycare drop off but he gave me 3 hugs and 2 kisses and multiple "I want to hold hands!" this morning. I've been holding his hand and counting to 10 and then he is usually ready to let go after that.

I know a lot of people like Hatch Baby but I wanted to try a less expensive option. Being able to control it from your phone is really useful.

Hey there! Weāre on vacation in SC and having a blast. The kids are loving the pool life which is fine because we are all beached out from our usual summer weekend trips to the shore.
Ds and I just attended an amazing raptor program. We are both big bird nerds. He was the only kid there and got to mist the owls. He was in heaven. His favorite was the Great Horned Owl. I related more to the grumpy little Burrowing Owl myself.

DD is going through a growth spurt. She's been actually eating the last 3 days and asking for more food at dinner, which never happens. This morning she was wide awake from 1-5 between night terrors, legitimate hunger, and insomnia. After eating two pouches I had stashed in my night stand, I finally got her to fall asleep in our bed at 5 and went back to sleep. My mom is an angel and came in at 7 to get her dressed and ready for the day so I could focus on getting myself ready. Well DD completely peed through her pullup and soaked our bed. thankfully we had a pretty thick mattress pad on there so the mattress was saved. Needless to say I'm dying from lack of sleep. Makes me wonder wtf I'm doing having a second since this is only a taste of what's to come and the lack of sleep may break me.

But more good than bad at this point. I can't wait until Monday when it's our NT scan and then I can stop hiding this at work and wear pants without buttons.

We will be 1 1/2 hours from home so thatās the only thing Iām not sure about. I feel guilty and nervous we would be too far away.

Week three of living at the inlaws and things aren't that terrible. Sure this is a huge adjustment for everyone but I think we are all handling it amazingly well. Now ask me for a report after the baby gets here.

We seem to be going through another emotional phase. I felt so worn out last night my H had to remind me that he's not playing with a full deck of cards, which is my usual mantra for him. Most of the time my H and I just look at each other and laugh silently because it's so ridiculous. He is getting better about using words and his tantrums don't last as long but MY WORD.

He's getting much better at pooping more regularly (but never at daycare!) so that's a relief. He's really into counting so he likes to say things like "I have two more poops in me!" or "I got five poops out!"

I announced at work yesterday. It's such a different atmosphere at this job than when I was pregnant with DD. People here are genuinely happy for me and it's nice that I don't have to hide it anymore.
I pulled out an organized all my maternity stuff except my nursing bras are MIA. They aren't in my maternity boxes or with my pumping stuff. I'm trying to think back to where I could have put them, but between 1st year haze and it being several years ago I'm at a loss. I'm hoping I stuck them in with some of the baby clothes? Ugh. DNW to have to spend $$$ on new bras.

We're back in the pooping-while-sleeping phase. Except this morning he woke up at 5:30, pulled off his pants and pull-up, shit in his crib, and then yelled for us. So that was fun to wake up to.
I wish he would get back on the schedule of going right before school. Then they don't have to worry about his potty dance and we also don't have SHIT IN THE CRIB.
