cythe thinking of you - you got this and E is gonna rock it. Treat yourself to some overly expensive cafeteria treat and internet spam while you wait. One of my friends has been stockpiling memes for me. I have received 13 so far 😂

We are home, actually got home a bit ago but had lunch and went for a walk to see how shed handle lunch.
MRI went fine, she was awake by time the nurses came to get us so that was hard/annoying. I know not their fault but still difficult to walk into a screaming/already pissed off baby who doesnt know what's going on. The nurses did their best but no one replaces mama.
They said they would send the results to the neurologist and with any luck we will find out the results of that. Every time i ask people just kind of shrug and tell me every doctor is different on getting results so... yay?
Ill call tomorrow to verify that they got them and see what their exact protocol is for giving results. Thank you for all the kind words and prayers.

cythe I hope those results come back ASAP. Good to hear it went as well as it possibly could. It’s so hard to see them in that situation.

I hope everyone is having a nice Fathers Day. I don’t do much for my husband but we are making a nice steak dinner on the BBQ. The kids made him cards and gifts at daycare and done. We got an offer early Friday evening and had things negotiated and signed off by 10pm. We got over asking and the closing date we wanted. The buyer has until Friday to meet the financing and home inspection conditions and if she does it will be sold firm. If for whatever reason that doesn’t happen we had 2 people through our open house yesterday that said they would put in an offer. danvers I hope everyone is feeling better. doodlemommy Congrats on the home sale! Hopefully all the conditions get met! I don’t know where exactly you live but your housing market must be better than where I am haha! The market is so saturated it’s crazy. We are happy with the price we got but it’s nowhere near as high as we thought we might be able to get based on comps Oh well, the new house is bigger, laid out the way we wanted, finished basement, huge yard, 2 playgrounds within a 5 min walk, and a 3 minute walk to the door of the elementary school and a 7 minute walk at kid pace to my parents’ house. We are so stoked on it, so really hoping it all works out!!! We live in the GTA so yes a totally different housing market from where you are. This is a slow market 😂 but homes in my size and price range get snatched up fairly quickly because there’s not many on the market. I hope your house works out too, sounds a lot like what we bought, more space and better location. Except we have an unfinished basement, a 5 minutes walk to the elementary school and a 5 minute drive to my parents.

For some reason the neurologist only has received one set of MRI results, even tho both were done at the same time 🤔
No matter, brain scan was normal, still waiting on her lumbar spine results. Should know today

The last few days have been crazy. H and I both had job offers in a new school district in the area we would love to be. In the end, ultimately couldn’t pay what we needed and so we had to turn the jobs done. It was hard because the area is so much nicer and so much closer to family but we would both be taking large pay cuts and it just wasn’t feasible.
The stress of not completely moving two classrooms, selling a house, buying a house, and all the stuff that goes with relocating is a relief. H and I do love our current jobs and we have a lot of leadership roles here we would have lost when relocating. It was just the draw of family and living in a nicer area that is a tough loss.

danvers that is hard. But you’ve looked at it and compared and you’re making the right decision so don’t stress. We have a sort of opposite problem. Moving back to the Midwest would mean more job opportunities for me but we’d be farther away from his family which makes it hard. We might think about it again when little one is a bit older though.

MRI results are back and everything is normal on the brain and lumbar spine scan.
So, I guess that's where we are.

cythe, I've been thinking about you as you waited for the results. I'm so glad everything is normal but that is frustrating at the same time. Did they suggest any next steps?

cythe, I've been thinking about you as you waited for the results. I'm so glad everything is normal but that is frustrating at the same time. Did they suggest any next steps? No, I assume its just a massive amount of PT since thats what the neurologist had said "if the MRI didnt show anything" (this was discussed when I asked if we REALLY needed an MRI) The lady said shed call and schedule a follow up but never called me back (again) and honestly I probably wouldnt go. He's just gonna tell me physical therapy, i dont need to drag E into yet another doctors office to be told that. Speaking of, we got our PT and Speech Therapy schedules today. We start next Wednesday the 26th and our long term schedule will be Monday AM: Speech Wednesday AM: PT Wednesday PM: Speech Friday AM: PT

DD1 has swim lessons at the local pool. It’s only 66° and while the kids don’t seem to care the lifeguards teaching look frozen. DD1s favorite part is the free swim at the end where she can play in the splash pad and go down the slides. She is not impressed with all the “get your head wet” nonsense they want her to do 😂
DD2 continues to try more and more words. She is finally saying “sissy” which took forever seeing as DD1 is her bff and she would follow her to the end of the earth. I think DD2 now has almost 20 words she uses without prompting, a huge jump from the 5 she had at her 18 month appt.

We are on our second bottle of wine because we’ve officially sold the house! All conditions have been met and we’ve agreed to fix the issues brought up in the home inspection. And as a bonus H put both kids to bed and I’ve been watching a marathon of Million Dollar Listing and found chocolate.

cythe I’m happy to hear that the MRI results are normal and that E won’t be needing and additional invasive procedures or surgery. But I can also understand how it would be frustrating to go through this whole process. At least you have a plan forward with PT! I hope E responds well to it! August Blooms Congrats on the house sale!! danvers Sorry the move to a better area didn’t work out, but I’m glad you and your H are content with your decisions. Also, 66 degrees for swimming in an outdoor pool??? That seems crazy cold to me! My tropical kids would be like...newp. Your girls are tough.

Trying to get a bunch of work stuff done before we have our big trip to the USA next week. I also need to start organizing packing lists. So many things to keep on top of!
It’s supposed to warm up to decent temperatures by the time we make our arrival next week. Highs of mid-60s for me and the kids is just...no...lol 🤣😂
Looking forward to seeing family, friends, and being able to do normal American stuff!

Since we’re not moving I decided to start we should paint the master bathroom..... at like 7:00 last night. This has then led to new shelving, framing the mirror, new towels and a bathmat, and some additional decor items. So maybe we’re not saving much money by staying out 🤷♀️😂
I’m also going to try to refinish the countertop and sink. I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile and since no one but H and I use the master bathroom if I screw up no one will know. I’m watching lots of DIY videos to prepare 😬

We leave in 3 days for our marathon trip to the states. I used today to get a start on packing. I have the new backpacks packed for the kids, which are full of never-before-seen toys and activities. The iPads are loaded with favorite shows, and I have the kids’ luggage almost done. Just going to throw in last minute stuff out of the wash right before we leave, plus do snacks and kids cups/plates/utensils at the end.
My suitcase is basically packed too, which is a relief. DH will work on his over the next few days - he tends to pack SO MUCH, so I gave him the biggest suitcase we have 🤣😂
We also have an entire suitcase full of gifts for our family members, since we don’t go home for Christmas anymore. Should be fun for the boys to hand those out!
Traveling with car seats, a stroller, and the dockatot/baby bjorn travel crib is such a pain (those things make up 4 checked items, in addition to our 5 suitcases). People seeing us roll in with 9 checked bags are going to be like...wuuut???
