cythe The closest I’ve come to that is buying a few pairs of those reusable period underwear...I think they’re called Thinx. I’m meh on them - okay for light days, but I definitely wouldn’t trust them on heavier ones.

I won't be trusting my homemade ones too much, i mainly use a cup but its forever leaking on me and im sick of it. Also not going to spend $40 trying cup after cup until i find one that works. Why are periods so expensive?

And I really hate that it’s nearly impossible to buy tampons in the country where I live...and when you do find them, they’re like 3 times the cost of what they are in the USA. Whyyyyyy?? 😩

You’ll be able to see her when they roll her into recovery though so you will be there when she wakes up probably. It is nerve wracking though. Especially not knowing what they will find or if they’ll want to do more tests or what. Hang in there friend!

Oh, I'm sorry you can't be in there with her cythe. I'd be upset too, but she'll be ok and you'll be right there when she wakes up. Hugs to you. I know it is all so hard.

I’m so sorry you won’t get to go in with E, cythe. Like others have said, you’ll be there when she wakes up and she won’t remember the time in between. Hoping for a clear outcome from the MRI.

DS1 turned 6 yesterday. We weren’t doing a party but I was bored at the airport last week and ended up ordering a cake and inviting extended family over for this Saturday. I think I have to feed real food if I said 6pm right?

Thanks for the condolences guys. DD2 is still sick and getting her molars. She is miserable, H took today off and his boss actually called to check in to make sure he was doing what he said. I’m going to have to take tomorrow off if she wakes up sick.. 1 out of 5 days at work isn’t bad? Lol fingers crossed I can send her because eventually I will run out of time off.
On a happier note, our pictures and virtual tour of the house look amazing and our listing went live this afternoon. We had one viewing today and another booked for tomorrow. We will definitely get more tomorrow. Keeping the house spotless is so much work!

cythe is the MRI being done at a children’s hospital? When DD1 was put under it took all of 30 seconds for her to be out. the nurses were absolutely wonderful because they do this each and every day. DD1 was in heaven from all the attention but they did not let me be with her when they put her under (probably best because I would have lost it). Kids can behave really wonky coming out of anesthesia. DD1 was just groggy but my nephew (age 2) was super combative so just prepare yourself accordingly. Bring a well charged phone to distract yourself while she’s under. You are the absolute very best momma for E and never doubt that you are doing the very best (albeit hard) things for her. This MRI will give you some answers and help you move forward. Whatever decisions you make for E are the right, and best, decisions.

I'm dropping in from the crazy that is life right now. Work is crazy busy. Our turnover is so high right now that we are recruiting and hiring left and right. And I just started my LAST semester of grad school. I'm taking two classes, one of which is managerial accounting, so needless to say I've been studying a lot. cythe, Thinking of you. That's hard. <3

We cleaned the kitchen and put the baby down. DS1 is at vacation bible school so I turned on southern charm and H disappeared to our room to finish his movie...I asked which movie. He’s watching 17 Again. 😂 Omg! Is this the one With Zac efron? Made me totally remember my Xbf who was a cross between efron and Jared Leto. he was an odd duck 🤣 man the dudes I dated could all be out of SATC 🤨

It’s a Friday and I’m sitting out in the back patio of the coffee shop down below the studio waiting for people to show up 🤣 usually one of the owners is here early but they’re on vacation. 🤔 wondering if I should bill them for my time sitting and waiting 🤷🏻♀️

cythe is the MRI being done at a children’s hospital? It is being done at the new childrens wing at Al.bany Med. I'm doing better today, it was just overwhelming to get all that info. And honestly, im not sure what use i would be if there were a situation inside the MRI anyway, you know? Also 2h of listening to the machine clink and clank also sounds like a bad time. All in all im sure being in there doesnt matter all that much. I will be there when she is put under, which is a good thing because im confident she will be a hot mess as soon as anyone tries to touch her. She cries as soon as she sees our pedi haha.

H and the girls all have a stomach bug so that has made for a not-so-fun start to the weekend. H has been in bed most of the day and the girls can't seem to keep much in or down.
I feel fine. Because of course I do. Moms can't get sick - it's a rule somewhere.
I am not wishing to get sick and I am not blaming H for sleeping and of course I am concerned about the girls. I'm just exhausted from running around all day cleaning and care-taking, and whatnot and would really like someone to come do a load of laundry and let me shower.
Pity-Party of 1 over here.
On the plus side, everyone was also in bed by 7:30 so I have the tv to myself and if I can stay awake I might even be able to watch a couple of my shows interruption free!

cythe I hear you on being stressed and concerned about E going under and you not being allowed to be there during the entire MRI. DS2 has had to go under twice for minor things, and I will say that being there when the kid actually goes under can be very hard for some parents. It wasn’t that bad for me, but I know other moms that have had a hard time with it. And yes - the little ones tend to be really angry and upset when they wake up. The good thing to focus on is that this will give you good insight into what is going on with E, and you can make a better informed decision on what to do about her walking situation. You’ll get through it - I promise! Have you weaned E completely? I only ask because I found breast feeding DS2 when he woke up was really helpful in calming him down. danvers A whole house of sick people - especially with a stomach bug - sounds awful. I’m so sorry. I hope you don’t catch it! Stay strong! 💪

We are in negotiations to accept an offer on our house!!! Finally!!! We have until June 24 to remove conditions on the house we want to purchase and these potential buyers agreed to June 22 condition removal so assuming all goes well we would be able to remove ours and make it all official! Possession would be July 25 for both houses unless we can shift our purchase one a bit earlier to make the move smoother. We have agreed on all conditions just negotiating on price. Keeping everything crossed this works out!!!!!

I hope everyone is having a nice Fathers Day. I don’t do much for my husband but we are making a nice steak dinner on the BBQ. The kids made him cards and gifts at daycare and done. We got an offer early Friday evening and had things negotiated and signed off by 10pm. We got over asking and the closing date we wanted. The buyer has until Friday to meet the financing and home inspection conditions and if she does it will be sold firm. If for whatever reason that doesn’t happen we had 2 people through our open house yesterday that said they would put in an offer. danvers I hope everyone is feeling better. doodlemommy Congrats on the home sale! Hopefully all the conditions get met!

Eek, we accepted the offer! Now we just keep our fingers crossed that they remove conditions and that the inspection on the house we have an offer pending on goes well! We will know by next Monday if it’s all a done deal and then the madness of packing and getting all the details dealt with will begin! July 25 is not that far away! Especially since I work for 2 more weeks, will be in the mountains for a week, oh, and am 22 weeks pregnant and won’t be much help with the physical moving 😬

Hopefully all the conditions get met! I don’t know where exactly you live but your housing market must be better than where I am haha! The market is so saturated it’s crazy. We are happy with the price we got but it’s nowhere near as high as we thought we might be able to get based on comps Oh well, the new house is bigger, laid out the way we wanted, finished basement, huge yard, 2 playgrounds within a 5 min walk, and a 3 minute walk to the door of the elementary school and a 7 minute walk at kid pace to my parents’ house. We are so stoked on it, so really hoping it all works out!!!
