Continuing the drop in milk supply conversation, I think I figured it out. I've been weighing myself on the first of the month each month and I lost almost a pound in May.
I want to be happy about that because yay progress towards getting back to pre-preg weight (and can't believe I'm complaining about it), but my milk supply is strongly tied to my weight. When I cut out bagels I lost a pound and saw a drop so I added in protein shakes. Apparently I must not be eating enough again recently.

I just lowered the crib mattress to the lowest setting. DD is growing up so fast! I absolutely LOVE this age!

Well, it's moving month. Lots to get done before the 31st and I'm also trying to do a bday party for DD the week before move. 😬
Yesterday, we randomly decided to do a Carters casting call. It was so close to the house and if by random DS gets chosen, it's a good chunk of change to help with the things he needs. He's not exactly "baby model" material, but it was fun!
Other than that, DS is getting into everything and I'm losing my mind. DD isn't liking him touching her stuff.

Nymeria hopefully you figured out the supply issue and things will turn around soon. pixiepink24 best wishes for a smooth month of packing and party planning. Cool with the casting call! I also had to lower the crib mattress the other day. I watched DD on the monitor pull up to standing in her crib after her nap. She wasn't quite sure what to do with herself when she stood up, haha! She's also getting more and more interactive in a fun way. She's starting to clap and it's so cute! She's still army crawling all over. She still hasn't figured out the whole hands and knees thing. DS has been "playing" with her more too as she's getting older and it's so sweet to watch them together. We just had a big outdoor birthday party at our house for DS this weekend. I feel like it went really well (minus the weather which we always have bad luck with for events like this) and I thought it was so fun! DS had a blast!! I feel great about the awesome party we were able to give him 💙

Finally took his 7 month photos last night! He is so dang wiggly and hard to keep still for a picture. He can sit pretty well but after about 2 seconds he’s crawling away.   Of course DD had to get in on the action...  |

MH texts me a couple hours ago telling me "you probably want to avoid social media and the internet, something leaked and went viral and you don't want to see it. you might find out anyway but there's an official announcement tomorrow and i think you'd like to avoid it until then"
I'm sooooo curious to know WTF it is, but he obviously knows me well so I'm trusting his recommendation and staying off all internet/SM except here. He wouldn't even tell me what it possibly related to. Hoping no one else ruins whatever the announcement is because he's really convinced I'll want to hear/see the real thing and not the leak.

Dh's brother, wife and two girls are in town and we've been having so much fun with them. There are 4 girl cousins and it's so cute to see them all together. DD1 has been exhausted from playing so hard though! Tonight we are having a BBQ with some friends and family and dh planned it and invited people but last night I had to do all the shopping (at 9 pm) and now today I've got to do all the cleaning and prepping for it so I'm a little annoyed. I also don't know how many people are actually coming so that makes the food prep a lot harder.

Dammit!!! I made it to 4:05pm... Guy at work walks over "so what do you think about ____" blurting out the leaked info I've been actively trying to avoid all day. He thought I was joking when I said I had been warned to avoid the internet and hadn't heard about it yet. He feels really bad now but I'm so annoyed I made it this far into my day and it got spoiled after all.

C actually slept from 9:30-6:30 last night and it was marvelous. His 4th tooth also full broke through, so I'm hoping maybe the teething sleep disruption is getting better? We'll see. He woke up ravenous and then was so adorable and happy after he got some boob.

We have been on vacation since the 24th and don’t go home until the 12th. It’s starting to be long. Right now we are at the in-laws. The constant need for conversation is killing me and my introvert daughter. She tells me every morning she wants to go home.

But on the trip M and I always reach a point of its too long. We usually spend 9-10 days with each family group we visit. |

But on the trip M and I always reach a point of its too long. We usually spend 9-10 days with each family group we visit. I totally understand wanting to hit multiple family groups in one trip. Makes a ton of sense to me. 9-10 days per visit would drive me crazy! |

I feel like I'm living in crazy land. It's month-end at work - today is supposed to be day 3 of a 5 day close for my clients. We have not been able to get into the system AT ALL since we came in Monday morning. Almost all our account teams are affected. We work for a damn technology company!!! This is so absurd.

We are having a rough day here. DS is just getting into everything and wanting to pull up and stand on everyone and everything. He fell a few times this morning and got a black eye, which matches his sister's black eye that she got running into my moms kitchen island. I can't turn for a second and I have way too much to do with cleaning (stupid sugar ants have invaded the house) and I need to organize and get rid of a ton of stuff for moving. I'm waving the white flag.
Also, there have been two shooting deaths in my neighborhood in the last 24 hours and 2 others near by plus a stabbing death since Monday. Wtf?!

Yesss! It's impossible to prevent really. But we have tile floors in the living room and hard woods everywhere else too so the falls are rough. He wants to climb up her legs and then she'll just jump back and he face plants. I'm telling you, we need to invest in bubbles for these kids. I cannot deal with today. I just picked up a pack n play from a mom that lives close to me. Mine is at my moms. I'm trying to leave him in there for a bit while I try to shower and clean. Not going well so far. He's in there crying and getting stuck with his face against the mesh. Days like today, I wish I drank.

C has this cute new habit of patting/banging his hands on his tray or the floor or whatever's nearby when he gets excited. I had to laugh when C woke up at 4 this morning and when I got him out of his crib and put him on the bed to nurse him, he smiled and patted the bed because he was so excited to see me (but mostly my boob lol).

Dramaphile DD does that too. She thinks she's so cool when she's making as much noise as possible banging things together. We booked a trip for next month to Michigan last night for 10 nights. I'm already anxious about the logistics of traveling with two young kids and staying in my dh's Grandma's house that is not baby proofed and we'll all be sharing one room. Dd1 has never shared a room with us or anyone so I'm pretty sure it'll be a shit show and we'll all be tired and cranky but dh's grandma isn't going super well right now so we want to make sure she gets to meet her 4th granddaughter.
