Josie had the start of a runny nose yesterday that carried into the earliest wake up at 5:55 this morning bc she was out of tissues. I don’t think it’s anything other than allergies so business as usual here.
We have gymnastics at 10 and then a grocery store run for some more berries.

Morning! I'm only working a half day, so leaving at 10:30 because my mom is watching my kids. She didn't seem to want to do the whole day but then my sister told me that she offered to watch her 3 kids at my house this afternoon, so.... I guess I'll have a house full of kids this afternoon?

Morning ladies. I'm leaving a little early today for a cut and color. I didn't realize how many appointments I had scheduled the last few weeks and upcoming, so I feel bad being out all last week and leaving for appointments. I'm going to text my stylist and see if I can show up at 3:30 instead of 3...that will make me feel a bit less guilty.

We had X’s therapy yesterday and it was heinous. The woman physically prevented me from comforting him. I’m still processing, I’ll be back to vent about it.

My cousin is going to be staying with us over Memorial Weekend. She lives in Atlanta and hasn't been home since my grandma passed 3 years ago. I'm hosting a family get together that weekend, inviting everyone. The entire family hasn't gotten together since after my grandma's funeral. Should be interesting as one of my other cousins was a shit right before my grandma passed and I avoided her like the plague at the funeral, plus I didn't invite her back to our house after.

We got to the barbershop at 715. It’s a really low cut, but it’s fine. After, he said that people were going to laugh at him. I said no they won’t because you have a nice mommy that got up extra early to take you to get a haircut so people won’t laugh at you. This is him after. He wanted to see it once we got In the car. I’m feel like I’ve been up for hours. Barbershop, then M’s school for muffins, then a target run to get gift cards for his teachers. Good news is that I think I’m feeling a little better health-wise, so I guess that’s a win. Nothing but work. Hopefully it’s a chill, uneventful day.

I went to the pool this morning then came home and napped. And made an appointment for E to get his jock itch checked out. Tonight we have a Cards game and the weather is supposed to be perfect

Morning
I am exhausted. B has not been sleeping. The last few nights he's gone from going in his crib and hanging by himself, falling asleep within 30 minutes, to not falling asleep for 1.5 hours, and calling me in MULTIPLE times to get there. Last night I put him down at 8:15 (as always) and I was back in about 12 times between then and 9:20 usually him complaining he needed a new diaper, or his eyes hurt, etc. He finally fell asleep around 9:45, and by the time I fell asleep it was about 11:15. He woke up at 11:45 and was up pretty much till 4. He would doze a few times but mostly up screaming unless I was in there with him holding him. He asked to change his diaper multiple times but it was only wet.
Of course, I started feeling like I was having an anxiety attack b/c I am just so nervous all the time with him now. So even when he did doze, I was just up, heart pounding, staring at the monitor. I finally fell asleep at 4:45 and was up for the day at 6.
It's going to be a long day.
I've done a bunch of research and it looks like this is a side effect of zyrtec in a small percentage of kids. I put a call in to his allergist first thing and am waiting on a call back from the nurse.

jewels Shit, I'm sorry. Do you give him zyrtec at night or in the morning? ETA I remember there being a thread several years ago on Parenting about side effects of zyrtec.

That sounds really tough cagoldi. I hope the next session goes better. lahdeedah he looks good! Lucky he has such a nice mama to take him in early.  Glad you're feeling a little better. jewels oof. What a night. Hope you can figure out what it is and he gets some sleep and your anxiety abates. |
