Well hell hath frozen over. My dad finally fired our problem driver. Of course now he's threatening us.... I don't trust him. Dad doesn't think he'll do anything. I'm still trying to get my brother to stay at their house tonight..

Cadence got in trouble at school AGAIN. That's every day this week for those that are keeping track. I told her if she gets a bad report tomorrow she doesn't get to get her hair cut on Saturday. We'll see if she complies.

Had my annual gyn appointment today. Unfortunately she thinks my murder scene awful periods are not adjusting to having stopped nursing and are just how it’s going to be. They are really getting in the way of my evening activities.

I stayed up late yesterday making chocolate covered strawberries and Oreos for 14 teachers. DS1 just informed me only 4 teachers of his 8 got them because the bag broke and then it was just a mess so he threw them out.

Not listening, breaking rules, acting up during nap time, going on other kid's nap mats and disturbing them when they are trying to nap, putting her hands on other kid's....basically she's disruptive. I think she's just insanely bored. I'm hoping it will get better in a couple weeks when they get to move downstairs for summer. |

Bath time. Cadence just screamed bloody murder because "she has no friends", "wants a friend", etc. to play with her during bath and mh apparently told her no when she asked him. This resulted in her throwing a hard plastic kinder egg toy at my face. It hit me in the lip and she stabbed me in the knee with another one.
Off to time out.
Straight to the bathtub afterwards where mh conceded to play with her for 5 whole minutes, then left her yelling after him while he went to his room to do his music.
I explained to him that I'm fine with him doing the music and band thing, but Cadence has to come first.
His response was, "I don't feel like I should have to play with her EVERY night."
Wtf? Yes, actually you should. And considering she normally ignores his ass he should be happy she's finally giving him the time of day.

Hey! Thanks for the birthday love everyone!
I took the day for myself; I dropped the kids off, went for the Himalayan salt rub and ion foot bath, ate sushi for lunch, did some window shopping while waiting for my movie time. I saw the Long Shot and it was hilarious!! Highly recommend to anyone that loves a good romcom, it’s very funny and Charlize and Seth are weirdly good together.
I did not do any laundry or cook food today, I mean....that's #goals

I am sure I do, but I really feel like we are back at square one with there being a fundamental difference of opinion about how to approach supporting him. This was sold to me as “parent training,” but it’s becoming clear this is just ABA, which I don’t think he needs and it sort of seems like it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Like klong11 said, this is more likely to cause him to shut down than it is to encourage more effort, IMO. It seems like it’s an issue with this type of therapy more than the therapist herself. |
