It's tempting to read along, but I like to go into it "blind"! I don't usually read anything or watch any trailers besides the next week teaser. It's gonna be so intense! I'm so excited for it to start but really sad it's going to be over 6 weeks later.

We are a bi-religious family and so we celebrate both Passover and Easter, which are the same weekend. Saturday we're hosting a Seder and will have a bunch of friends over. I'll make brisket and veggies and potatoes and matzo ball soup and we do a 30 minute Seder. MH put out an open invite on facebook and several friends responded, so we'll have a good sized group this year. We'll have some activities for the kids, too, since DD is 3 now and understands more. For Easter, we go to my best friend's house for Easter Dinner and they do an egg hunt for the kids. I'll probably do an Easter basket with some treats and a small toy for DD and we'll dye some eggs, too.

We dye eggs every year but I've always hid plastic ones for her. We do a basket of stuff too but I'm hoping to minimize crap this year. We will go to my moms for an early dinner and they hide eggs too and have a basket.

You guys intrigued me to measure my baby's thighs. DS baby chunk thighs are the same as my almost 4 year olds. They both were around 11.5 inches. 😳

Noooo! I've got that huge clog in the same spot again. I haven't been able to get rid of it so far this evening and now that she's asleep, I'm probably going to be uncomfortable with it all night 😣
ETA: I think I have a milk bleb. I had a similar white spot last time I had this clog too but didn't think much of it. I didn't even know what a milk bleb looks like, it just occurred to me that maybe that's what it is since I've heard of it before and I Googled it. Sure looks similar.

That's totally what it was! I got the bleb to open up, then pumped 2.5 oz out of the clogged area. Clog is gone! 🙌🏻 So crazy.

DD is getting super mobile in her crib and keeps getting herself shoved up in the corner and then freaks out because her head hits the crib rails. I'm sure this happened with dd1 too but I don't remember what we did. I have to send DH in there to move her because if I go in there she cries and cries until I feed her.

brennaEven though there is controversy over them, I got mesh bumpers when that happened. She also kept getting her legs stuck. But I also never really left her in there awake so I felt comfortable with them.

tbirdlove if your clog comes back again, you can take sunflower lecithin as a supplement and it's supposed to help prevent clogs. My boobs were all a mess over the weekend. My pump wasn't functioning at full capacity because my duckbills had little tears in them, so i replaced them at the start of last week and I think I over-pumped last week and lefty (the overproducer) was engorged all weekend. ugh. Going to have to limit my pumping this week to hopefully bring it back into check (I was getting about 12 oz a day before replacing and went up to around 18 oz a day). I was hoping that my supply had regulated on its own, but not so much.

Today has been the Monday-ist of all Mondays and it's only 10am... Solidarity, I knocked my latte over at starbucks while trying to put honey into it and it went everywhere. Lovely start to the week, thankfully they were nice and made me a new drink and cleaned up my mess. Need to bring some tip money next time I go!

The bleb just must have opened on its own last time. I had the same spot on my nipple both times, but didn't realize what it was last time. Once I opened the bleb the other night, the milk in the clogged area pumped right out no problem! Now I'll know if it happens again 🙂 It must be a particular nipple pore that is susceptible because it was the same area of ducts that were backed up both times.

I just realized I probably have an early FFFC. At grocery stores when I am checking out I look for checkers that are usually older women (at the store today I saw a younger guy at one register and skipped that one for an older girl) that will interact with the girls and tell me/them how cute they are. It's sometimes my only adult interaction for the day so I like when they are chatty with the girls and me. 🤦🏼♀️

pixiepink24 impressive!! Although my core hurts just thinking about being in such a position 😜 brenna, I like when cashiers are friendly and talkative too. It feels odd to me to just stand there and not converse with someone. But around here I just look for the shortest line! Or if I recognize someone who's helped me before that I know is fast.

My friend's son turns one this weekend, so we will be driving about 3 hours away for the party. I used to just drive up and back in the same day but I am able to get a free hotel room so I think we will stay the night. This will be my first little "trip" with both kids, and of course alone. I think it should be fine. I'm only a little nervous about not having the swing with me. But I'm sure between car rides, stroller rides, and Babywearing, he'll get plenty of naps without his swing.

Dd1 wanted to give dd2 a bottle tonight so I thought sure why not, keep them both busy at least. Well after DD tried giving it to her (it basically looked like two little drunks with the amount of bobbing and missing of the mouth) I tried and she drank 2oz like it was no issue what so ever. She has NEVER drank that much without a fight. I don't want to get excited, but I really hope she has just figured bottles out and I'll be able to not worry about being around her 24/7.
I'm guessing tomorrow she will decide she hates bottles again though...

C tried his first food Monday night! He loved nomming on a cooked carrot, although he didn’t get much off it. Last night we tried banana and it was hard for him to hold with the peel on., but he liked gnawing on it. DD didn’t actually swallow much when we first started baby led weaning, so I’m not worried. Once she got her first tooth around 8 months, she ate a lot more. I’m happy he’s interested and likes the tastes though

Today was a little rough for dd2. She woke up early, barely napped, and was just very upset and crying a lot today. Last time she was like this I thought it was teething and it wasn't but now I can feel bumps on her gums so I'm hoping a tooth or two will pop through soon.

M has started wearing underwear to school. She’s been doing such a good job. I feel like This is a long time coming. She had an accident at nap through her pull up..... she also had an accident earlier this week through her night time pull up. So I’m wondering if she’s not fully emptying her bladder.... but she’s staying dry.
P started with purée. She LOVES food. She yells if you don’t feed her fast enough. I think we are going to start introducing lunch or breakfast at school in a few weeks. M always ate a baby yogurt for breakfast..... but now I can’t remember when she started or if there’s a time frame to intro milk products.

akwildI remember my doctor said you can introduce milk produced like cheese and yogurt, just not plain whole cows milk, especially as their milk drinking source. I feel like the milk protein or something is different. I really don't know, but there is a difference between the makeup of those things.

akwild - With DS1 I learned the same as pixiepink24. Milk-based products like cheese and yogurt were ok and as long as there's no milk intolerance I think it's ok to start introducing this young. Our pediatrician strongly recommended adding whole fat yogurt to DS1's diet to help fatten him up a bit at his 9 month appointment so it was definitely ok by 9 months, but straight up cows milk was a 1 year thing.

I bought some Easter eggs for our neighborhood Easter egg hunt today and thought we would "play" Easter egg hunt. Dd1 was so hilarious, when it was her turn to hide the eggs she put all 20 eggs in the same place and was so proud of her hiding spot! I'm guessing we're going to get a lot of practice with Easter egg hunts by next weekend.
