I think I started giving DS whole milk yogurt around 8 months. I think the yogurt was his first forray into dairy foods.

I had a Drs appt the other day, so I was on the scale (I don't own one at home). It was rather discouraging that in 5.5 months I've only lost 3 lbs.... The weight certainly isn't coming off as easily on its own the second time around! I guess I've also been doing the newborn/young baby thing in the winter this time so maybe that's part of it.

Allergist appointment for DS2 today. He's definitely allergic to peanuts. Also showed slightly positive to eggs and almonds so we just had blood work done to get a better idea of what's going on with those two.

I hope you get some good insight soon so you can do whatever you need to protect your ds. I know with my food issues (I'm still not sure if they are allergies or not, but I can't eat dairy or gluten at all without getting pretty sick) it was a major adjustment for me and DH and my family, but it gets easier the more you learn and try different things. I know peanut allergies are WAY scarier but hopefully you guys will find your new normal fairly quickly.

NymeriaI'm so sorry. I have a tree nut allergy but it's more of an annoyance. Nothing like what you described. I have lots of friends with kids that have serious nut allergies and I know it can be stressful.

Ugh! Hotel situation with two kids is kind of sucking right now. First, I was booked for a king room with a pullout couch and a crib. I get here and I now have a queen, no pullout and the crib mattress falls through because it's too small. FML. So I finally am trying us sleeping horizontally so the baby is against the headboard and me in the middle and toddler on the end. We shall see how it goes. Also, it's 9:15 and the 5 month old finally fell asleep and 3.5 year old is still wide awake.

3.5 year old is now asleep at 10:20. I really hope the little guy doesn't want to party at 1:30 and 4:30am like he has been. Send sleepy thoughts.

The H is out of town, M is at my moms and P is sleeping. It’s so quiet. But I just want to go to bed. It’s amazing how Friday nights have changed drastically.

I slept like shit. Kept having the dream where you can't fAll asleep, plus kids on top of me. Oh and loud guest and people slamming hotel room doors until 1am...DS did sleep fairly well. No MOTN parties. But we were up by 6:30. Even he had sleepy eyes. I'm figuring out how to shower so I'm rocking him in his stroller with the shusher noise maker and DD is still asleep. Fingers crossed I can do it! I should let him cry in the hallway for those annoying guests. Obviously joking....kind of.

Shower idea worked, thank God! I also realized the bathroom trash was never removed from previous guests. Gross. Definitely was sanitary products. And my daughter found a big piece of bacon on the floor of our room. Wtf?!? And this is a holiday inn.

I would definitely say something.

Oh man, pixiepink24 it sounds like you're having an "interesting" experience. I would definitely complain and maybe even contact higher ups about it. If I thought I was getting a room with enough sleeping space for me and my kids and I didn't I would be furious. Add in the grossness and I would be contacting whoever to tell them my thoughts. Do you have to stay another night there?

Oh, I've been complaining since we arrived but they are fully booked and we were only staying one night. Their dad is a platinum priority member too since he travels with work and he's furious and complaining too. Sucks because the only thing they can really do is give him more points, which I usually don't benefit from. I'm so tired. Lol!

I feel like such an old person. Both girls are in bed and I am watching tv. It’s 8:30 and the neighbor kid has started riding his 4 wheeler up and down the road.... I’m feeling pretty cane shaky... but stop, it’s annoying in the daytime.

MH sternly pointed out what time it was and the guy responds "well I'm allowed to call until 9pm". F you dude. You're lucky neither kid woke up.

I'm in trouble. Little guy decided he would start getting up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. I'm thinking he will be on the move by the time he turns 6 months next week.

Two mobile children will be exhausting.

DS2 has been rocking like that for a week or 2 and hasn't figured out how to greet himself going forward yet. I keep thinking any day, but not yet!

He's pushing backwards but does not know how to go forward yet. I have to keep a close eye on him because he will push backwards all the way off my bed. Lol

DD won't even get on her hands and knees 😕 This. Zero interest in trying to get up or scooting. She will roll to get what she wants.

My DD has been pushing way up with her arms and chest then trrrryying to lift her butt, but only gets to a tiny 'knee plank' position. She pivots and scoots around a bit though. She's traveling a few feet that way.
