I said I would send the text I typed by 330 if I hadn’t heard anything. She texted at 320 that she had news. Apparently they had word they were getting another offer and wanted to see. Must not have been better because they countered our offer and we accepted. We have a house! Oh my gosh! So exciting! When will you get to see it? Not sure. I scheduled time off this month to look at houses, but now I can rearrange them to do other things. I need to think about it and figure out when I will go see it. Hopefully within a week or two. |

All the kid parties I’ve been to it is assumed the pizza is for the kids and if there’s extra the hosts usually tell the parents to help themselves. For Cs party we way over ordered to make sure all parents could eat too. We still left with two whole pizzas.

Congrats lahdeedah!!! That's awesome! I'm team only feed kids at venue parties. I go to parties often assuming there won't be gf food regardless though, so never go hungry. If it's a house party, I'd have more food though. We just left my dad's...low key dinner. They have their huge kitchen island out getting reformatted, so had a random folding table. We made a cake and we cleared out their donation pile...got a microwave and 2 huge magnetic boards to put up in our kitchen. The microwave may be too big, but it's free, so we will give it a go. |

Update: they got pizza for the kids. But it's not a drop off party... so all the parents are ordering their own. This is a very strange party. I feed all my invited guests.. It was annoying. And she kept saying "I should order more pizza" bug never did. |

I guess I have never hosted a school friend party, only family friends. Also have only been to 1 school friend party and she had more than enough food for everyone. I guess this must be regional. |

If anyone needs carseats, the diono radian is on Zulily today. I may pick up one...new carseats are cheaper than a new car apparently🤷. Hoping one radian, one Rainier and a bucket seat will fit in an outback.
Can someone explain how a 7 seater vehicle works with 3 kids? We rented a Durango in CA and it seemed like it'd be impossible to use the 3rd row, either getting in the back and/or using the trunk at the same time. We are not jazzed about a minivan, so would prefer to go ascent/pilot if we HAVE to upgrade.

When baby is here, I'll put the boys in the back and baby on the passenger side middle row. The bench folds down 60/30. So she'll be on the 30 part. And the 60 portion I'll fold down for the boys to get in and out. My trunk is still pretty good sized too. I can take a picture tomorrow. I have a 2016 Ford Explorer. My mom has captain seats and 3 in the back. All 3 of those are small sized. I can only fit one car seat in her 3rd row. And no rear facing at all since the captain seats wont scoot up far enough. And her trunk is basically non existent. She has a 2015 Chevy Traverse. |

tallb we have the third row in my Volvo that seats 2 and I can fold either outside seat down and slide them forward to access the back. When we’ve needed to, I put B in back, and C and whoever else in the middle row. But yes, when the third row is in use trunk space is at a premium; I can fit my Citi Mini stroller on its side, plus some other stuff—enough for day-to-day errands but not enough for a family vacation or anything. You could always look at getting a rooftop carrier for travel if you didn’t want to upgrade cars right away. ETA: I think I can put up just one third row seat at a time, if I’m remembering correctly, so I wouldn’t lose ALL the trunk space if I just needed one seat. Do you have that option? Congrats lahdeedah and kim22!!

tallb I’ve always seen people put the oldest kid in the third row being as they can get in and buckle/unbuckle themselves. Younger two sit in the middle row. I have not explored all third row SUVs, but from the few I have seen, I was impressed with the explorer the most. Great trunk space even with the third row in use and decent price point on low mileage used ones.

Well we went from great night to mess in about .7 seconds.
Fantastic dinner last night; when we got home kids were down, sitter said they were wonderful. 🙌🏻 About midnight I hear B calling me from his room sounding panicked. He has a tummy ache and after a few minutes, I catch the first round of throw-up in my hands 🤢 While DH helped me clean up, he took off running for the bathroom to throw up himself. And the two of them have been barfing about every hour since 😫 Happy birthday, DH!
So today I will be sanitizing the house, chugging red wine and praying C and I can avoid this.

Morning! I went to a retro style clothing outlet this morning with a friend, and while s lot was way OTT for normal day wear (well in general for me) I got two cute dresses and a bikini top for €40! One of the zippers didn’t work great, luckily my mom is handy and just fixed it. Drinks with my aunt&uncle in an hour or so.

tallb, we have a flex. The younger two are in the middle and C climbs in and buckles himself in the 3rd row. I keep half the 3rd row down for more trunk space. Friends with a flex out all 3 kids in the 2nd row, their oldest climbs in from the front and buckles herself in the middle seat and the 2 younger sit on either side of her.
