Morning everyone. I am still in a bit of a rough place over here, so H is taking me out to breakfast and I am going to spend the night with my BFF today. Still have not responded to my Mom and I am not sure how I am going to handle it, so trying to take my mind off it for now. I know I can't avoid it forever. Thanks for all the thoughts and love, I am way behind on the haps around here, but will be back soon to check in. Much love. Big hugs lady. I hope the night away helps you to clear your mind. |

Morning! Nothing planned this weekend. We are expecting about 6" if snow tonight, so I need to go to the grocery store. The cleaning people will be here Tuesday, so I don't plan on cleaning much this weekend. And laundry...there is always laundry.

FFSC part deux: so we are NOT going to the French restaurant tonight. DH made the reservation for tomorrow, b/c I told him the babysitter was available on his birthday. Which I thought was today, the 2nd. (spoiler alert: his birthday is tomorrow). Oops. He hasn't figured out how the wires got crossed yet.
Fortunately we were able to get a table elsewhere, we'll save the French place for next date night.

I'm dumbfounded that people don't use microwaves on the regular. I would guess ours is used at least once a day. Like, how do you heat a cup of water for hot tea? Make easy mac? Popcorn? Melt butter? I'm so damn lazy... I think it’s because we didn’t really use the one in our house growing up. So I got used warming leftovers up on the stove, making air popped popcorn, tea from the kettle (or now the keurig). But it makes sense because, like we talked about last week, I don’t use the dishwasher either (and that was another appliance that didn’t really get used while I was growing up.) |

MH and I had the best date night last night! Slept in, took a morning nap and now he's getting our 3 crazy kids!

Morning. I am at work, and it’s been kind of busy. Temps dropped again for the weekend so we will probably spend the rest of the day inside after I get home. Then early to bed because I work tomorrow. Such an exciting life I lead.

Hi ladies. It's beautiful but chilly here but I'm at work so *shrugs*. lfig I think if your current job can turn into full time with a step increase it sounds like you'd be living the dream there. Flexibility, short commute, and little oversight. I live the don't wake me up life. I just reminded the girls they can sleep in last night and if they do get up early they better leave dad alone and reminded them of their food and TV options. guster I love the colors you chose. I think your nooks are going to look great your project is done. dapostrophe thinking of you today and hope you can enjoy the nice day you have planned. flamingo lol to the birthday situation. I always have to think if MH's birthday is the 6th or 7th of July. I just remember that it doesn't match so every year I think to myself "7/7, nope that's not it so it has to be 7/6." And lol to the cookie cake. My pathetic bucket list item is to have a cookie cake. I love cookies, they are my favorite sweet. Cookie cake sounds perfect. slenle glad you finally made it home after that mess. |

Last night my friend brought over coconut cake so I can celebrate my father's demise. Lol. It smelled so good but I'm waiting for today to bust into it. She is like the aunt who spoils you to my dog so Lily was super excited to see her. My friend offered to take her for the night so she can hike with her today. Lily tried to slip out and leave with my friend before she called her. I made her shamefully walk back up to me with her ears down and sad so I could say goodbye before I told her she can go. She was so happy to take off.  MH's niece is coming over for dinner tonight and I'm dreading it. She's nice but I don't want to deal with anyone or play host. I just want to put on my PJs and pass out at 8:30. |

Speaking of birthday confusion, DH's birthday is the day before my high school boyfriend's. My Mom argued with me for years every February that I had the date wrong because she still had my ex's date stuck in her head. She figured it out eventually.

Swim class. Cadence has a sub coach today, so she and the other little girl are basically telling him how these swim lessons go. In other words, they aren't learning anything today.

I would also like to say that I'm not a fan of these old dudes sitting in the hot tub starting across at the kids learning to swim. It's very creepy. Just another reason I'm not a fan of swim lessons inside this gym.

I tried to take a nap but failed. Dh just took C sledding. I was going to go but I have no snow pants that fit. I tried to layer some leggings under swishy pants that Dh has but they were still loose. Oh well. I didn’t want to go and just wanted to see C sled so I told Dh to take pics and video while I enjoy my DVR.

Just another reason I'm not a fan of swim lessons inside this gym. There's a hot tub that people sit in during our swim lessons. It really doesn't bother me. I mean maybe there's some creep who gets off on watching kids in the pool but I really think it's just people who enjoy the hot tub and happen to watch the swim lessons cause they're there. |

4 more hours... the suspense is killing me😫😫. I’m really trying to keep my mind off of it. I just typed out a text to my realtor, but didn’t send. I don’t want to be a pest even though I haven’t talked to her since we submitted the offer yesterday evening.

I'm annoyed. Theres no food at this party. I know a 3 PM party it's not going to be a meal but chips, some fruit? Not hard. And of course my blood sugar dropped so now I'm going to order and eat infront of a whole party...
