Looking like I might be a c-sectioner, too.
I had my appt with one of the midwives today. I'm measuring 42w at 36w4d and scheduled another growth US for next Thursday. They won't induce until 39 weeks, but given his current sizing, they're giving me time to consider a c-section bc they're really worried he's going to get stuck in my pelvis, and/or rip me completely in 2. They didn't have me retake the GD test, but the midwife thinks that given his sizing and the fact that H and I were both pretty average sized babies, there's a chance I've had GD (at least borderline) and didn't know it.
So. Now we wait until Thurs and hope that he's under the 90th%.

On the positive! My BP was a perfect 119/80 and my swelling has gone down in my feet/ankles. So at least right now, pre-e is not a concern.

I had a total moment of panic this morning when I realized it is time to do the things on my baby to-do list that I was saving until the end. Pack hospital bags, install car seat, buy diapers... there’s probably more. For the recent c-sectioners, what did you end up wearing in the hospital? Day 1 and 2, the hospital gowns and mesh undies. Once they removed catheter and IV, I showered and wore a LLR Carly with the mesh undies. I wore the binder starting day 2, for most of the day and night.

Quoting this because the binder was life changing. Also I'm team no pants or maternity leggings. Regular lounge pants rode right on my scar and were super uncomfortable.

My kid has days and night confused. He sleeps all day and parties all night. Like I legit didn't put him down most of last night. I don't want to wake him but I also can't do no sleep at night especially because I can't nap during the day because of my DD.

Pack hospital bags, install car seat, buy diapers... there’s probably more. For the recent c-sectioners, what did you end up wearing in the hospital? Nursing tank and loose lounge pants. But bring shorts for night time because the night sweats were awful this time. I had a few cardigans to throw on too while guests were there and for pictures. I also did the high waisted yoga pants, tank tops, and cardigans. I bought a pair of the lounge pants pambee recommended before and they are comfy too! I didn’t pack shorts and was so hot. They even had the temp as low as it could go in my room.

I would ask at your next appt if they provide one! If not you can buy them online too.

Yeah I wore the binder for 3 weeks, otherwise I felt like jelly. The hospital gave me one both times.

lemondrop I’m sorry you’re having to make that decision. I hope you get some more information with the u/s so you can make the best decision for you! And yay for reduced swelling! I’m so ready to have ankles again.

jacks, I may be the odd one, but I just wore hospital gown and mesh undies most of the time. But I only had immediate family visit. It was comfortable and I feel like they kept coming to check incision, etc. And it's just easier. And no laundry or staining for me to worry about.

lemondrop, I'm sorry you have to weigh those options, if you have any c section questions please feel free to reach out. My DD was 9lb5oz and sunny side up so I had an unplanned one with her after she failed to descend. And then one recently with the twins. The planned one was immensely easier for me to recover from, mentally and physically.

Scheduled induction for 39 weeks, 4/11, at doctors appointment today. Due to GD and needing a vacuum assist last time even with a tiny baby. I wasn’t expecting that as last time I had GD they said I could go until 40 weeks. It is the day after my last day of work. I was hoping to have at leas a few days off before baby comes. Anything I need to know for induction? I didn’t need one to itch my first. I’m still hoping he will come naturally before then.

snickerdoodle I would research all the different medications they can use or methods and then ask your doctor ahead of time what their plan is for you. My doctor just went with pitocin and breaking my water, but I wish I had talked to them ahead of time about slowly increasing pitocin instead of just starting with the max dose.

Samesies. esp since twin belly is no joke, pants other than the mesh were no go at the hospital. I swapped out the gown for a cotton dress for visitors day 3 and 4, but immediately go back to gown. Once home /i'm living in maternity leggings.

So far they just placed cervadil and then I will be checked in the morning to see where I am. I’m having contractions that have been getting progressively more intense.

I do think if it needs to happen, then mentally preparing for a Csection and not putting my body through what could amount to a hellish labor only to have one would be beneficial. I didn’t have strong feelings either way about HOW little guy gets out, only that he gets out safely. I just need to not read the horror stories.
