lemondrop , my swelling is getting ridiculous as well. My feet look like sausages, but I have some hand and face swelling as well. I have an empty printer paper box under my desk that I keep my feet up on, and am drinking so much water, which makes it a little bit better. I'm not concerned because my BP is fine, unless yours is high I think it's just an unavoidable part of late pregnancy. ETA tagged wrong person! My midwife just called me to confirm that nothing else was swelling. My BP was 126/80 on Thursday at 3pm, which she considered normal for 35w5d and considering the stress I'm under at work right now - and the OB generally doesn't get worried unless it goes over 140/90. My BP the check in before that was at 33w6d at 9am and was 118/78. Considering BP peaks in mid-afternoon, she said it seemed about right. There was also no presence of protein in my urine. She did mention that unless I'm wearing compression socks, I could try to wear skirts and see if that changes anything. I've basically been living in maternity yoga pants (WFH life win), so she thinks that the tightness at the ankle could also be a factor.

I also notice that my feet feel better if I'm barefoot. You would think compression would help, but it doesn't.

Did you end up going with/needing the ECV? No! She ended up turning the night before my meeting with the specialist OB who would have performed it. So now she's head down, but she is still sunny side up. So not sure how that's going to work, but I did read that only 4-10% of babies are born that way and they usually turn themselves while you're in labor. My sister had a successful vaginal birth with a sunny side up baby.

You all inspired me to get outside today. My ILs are at my SIL/BIL's house for the day with DD, and I was able to bundle the twins into the stroller and walk about a mile round trip to a local bakery. I got a huge chocolate cream filled donut.

Come on out baby remi! Did you make the smoothie yet? I didn’t end up going to the store last night but I’m going to try to do that today after work.

Has anyone tried the bikini body mommy workouts? I’m starting to think about what my plan will be for when I’m ready.

My H went back to work today, and it’s my first day alone with DD. I was nervous about it for some reason, but it’s going well! I’ve even gotten to take a nap, which was glorious.

I think there was even a thread about it over on the H&W board at some point? IIRC the videos are free on You Tube. I haven't even had this kid yet and I'm also starting to think about getting back into shape - I miss working out!

My last day of work before baby is next Friday, and I've gotten to the point where I'm finishing up all of my projects but not really getting many new assignments. So I'm just sitting here being like, hmmm what should I do now?

@bex15, I tried the BBM exercises once or twice and liked them!
I plan on asking about physical therapy or exercises at my 6 week checkup. I have zero core strength anymore. It's hard for me to even sit up from laying down. I think the stretched out muscles from the twins plus the c section really did a number on me.
I'd be down for some sort of healthy living thread too. I weighed myself yesterday and was pleased, all but 10 pounds of my 50 pound gain (😯) are gone. I did read that breastfeeding twins uses 1000 calories a day though. But I didn't exactly start my pregnancy at my goal weight, either...

I'm jealous when my H gets home from the gym looking all swole and I'm all, "hi, I've gained 3 more lbs."

Eames I’m right there with you. I didn’t gain a ton during pregnancy and have lost the majority but definitely was not where I wanted to be prior to this

So I'm just sitting here being like, hmmm what should I do now? My last day is next Friday, too. However my boss keeps asking me to do more projects, but he does not seem to understand my lack of motivation currently. Do you want to take some of my work to fill your time? 😜 I did, however, go through and clear my calendar so I wouldn’t be getting meeting notifications on maternity leave.

I bought a subscription to Aaptiv that I was using pre-pregnancy that I liked. They’re all audio so you don’t have to watch something while trying to do the moves.

So I think yesterday was a combo of clogged duct and also coming down with a bad cold. Which can be pinpointed to my sweet little ds2 coughing on me. 😂
But really, guys, I feel miserable and dd is attached to my boob. I did pump a bottle earlier so mh will be feeding her at some point. 🙌🏼
Oh and I stumbled across a post on pulmonary embolisms and had myself so worked up last night on top of it. I spoke with my midwife today and she helped me calm back down though.
Sorry for the venting. I just needed to get it out.

Ugh haleyscott That is the worst. I had to have a babysitter come help me when DD1 was a week old because I was sooo miserable from a cold with fever. I hope you start to feel better soon!

I had a total moment of panic this morning when I realized it is time to do the things on my baby to-do list that I was saving until the end. Pack hospital bags, install car seat, buy diapers... there’s probably more.
For the recent c-sectioners, what did you end up wearing in the hospital?

But bring shorts for night time because the night sweats were awful this time. I had a few cardigans to throw on too while guests were there and for pictures.
