We must have hit 5 Guys on a good night b/c the fries were perfection tonight. Seasoning, crispiness level, everything. I got 2nds from the bag, which I rarely do. Normally I think their fries are fine, but they can be a bit limp/soggy by the time you eat if you get them to-go. Their fries are always soggy to me. I have never had a crisp fry from them, so I never get them.

Hi! Just catching up. We had a busy day of travel and then M went to work with MH for afternoon workouts and M2 and I scouted some neighborhoods. We are in the hotel relaxing for a bit before we head out to fetch the other boys for dinner. So tired.

DH just turned on the movie Queen (about the band) and I am ridiculously excited. The music alone will make this time well spent.

I'm spent. My fabulous afternoon walking around Georgetown was not reality..my feet hurt in my new booties, had a tummy ache and had to locate a restroom, and trying not to buy anything/not sure what I should buy since things won't fit forever, and it seems that every other storefront is vacant and a tad depressing. I did go to Patagonia and found a jacket for j for next year that wasn't on sale online and 40% off. I got him a 7/8 and hoping it'll last 2 winters like his current coat has. Then I went back to work and got kids at regular time and went out to eat. We drove by our old apt and j and I both cried bc we are nostalgic saps.

We drove by our old apt and j and I both cried bc we are nostalgic saps. Aww, this breaks my heart I'm right there with you. B gets so sad about our FL house sometimes. He asks to see photos and wants to go look at it whenever we're home. We never have, and TBH I doubt I ever will. We poured so much love and work into that place, and I just fear what I would find. When the new owner called me about something last year, she mentioned they were going to have the huge oak in the front taken down. That tree was one of the reasons we bought the house and hearing that killed me. Stupidly I let it slip to B and now he asks about the tree, too. Ugh. I need a new house.

Find anything promising lahdeedah?? That is so cute that M1 went to work with your H, I bet he is loving it! Oh yeah. M is a total daddy’s boy and the distance is hard on him. Meanwhile, M2 won’t even be in the same room with MH without me. He has always been attached to me, but the distance is making it so much worse. Mama needs a break. 😫 I’ve seen a few neighborhoods I like, I just need more houses to be up for sale. We already lost a top choice this week, but I’m not down about it. What is supposed to be for us, will be. We have 13 houses to see tomorrow. Long day ahead of us.

tgrimes That does not sound like something a 5 year old can do. Andplusalso, didn’t she already do a steady dose of miralax to “clean” her out?! Come on docs, come up with something else!!! Yes we did magnesium citrate twice in winter 2017 and have been doing daily miralax since then. I’m slightly annoyed...

Jesus tgrimes - when do you have to do this? Will bribes work with her? Tomorrow. I already discussed it with her but I’m pretty sure some sort of special toy will be in order.

cagoldi I’m sorry about A but glad Pete got good news. tgrimes that seems like a challenge, I hope you can get M to do it. lahdeedah I hope you see something you love tomorrow. I never house hunted for our current house because we just bought the house next to my parents when the woman who lived here died. I really love looking at beach houses. I think it was also less stress because there was no pressure, we could have totally just said forget it. We will hopefully be out of attorney review on Monday and able to have the inspection. DH has a trip next week though and we don’t want to delay so I may have to do inspection alone. I will probably ask FIL to meet me because he worked in construction and will understand a lot that I won’t. We have already seen an inspection report from a few months ago from buyers who backed out and it wasn’t bad so hopefully our guy won’t find much more. flamingo funny you mentioned your old house, I spent tonight with my friend who lives there, she’s in town for a few days. She said the first thing they did today when they arrived was drive past their old house here.

Oh that's hard that he remembers so well and asks about it. I try to remind myself that it's good we have fond memories of it and that we can visit people and just drive to that part of town. It was just so weird doing that commute and going back on autopilot and feeling like we were home.. at least n didn't announce "we are home!" like she did when we all went back to turn in the keys💔. I need it to be spring to take advantage of our yard and make some friends ASAP to play up the benefits of the move besides the actual house part..

tallb oh goodness at "we are home!" I probably would have bawled. Even though you moved for positive reasons I imagine it is still really hard leaving the place where you brought babies home and have so many memories. Hopefully as it warms up you'll become more connected in your new community. We really tried to focus on the positive when we moved up here and B was still pretty young so I doubt a lot of it penetrated at the time, good or bad. As he's gotten older he's asked more questions and we talk about dad's job, and moving back home next. He is excited about that, for sure. But I'm sure leaving here will be tough for him in certain ways. Blerg. Moving is hard, period.

We have driven by our condo in Boston a few times. I’m not wistful about old homes since I moved a lot growing up and lived many places in Boston. But I do get wistful about Boston in general and miss it a lot. C often says he misses it and wants to move back but I doubt he truly remembers much.
