DD is getting to the stage where she gets very distracted while nursing and she's starting to grab, pinch, pull, scratch etc. I've had to start feeding her in her room because out in the living room she is always looking around and never wants to eat. My boobs have scratch marks all over them 😟 Distracted over here too. It's so annoying! If I try to eat and nurse he stops to stare at my food now.

Thanks Nymeria and brenna. Hopefully I can stay on top of it and it will go away without getting worse.

The two year old skipped her nap today and I'm at the end of my rope. I'm currently hiding in my room trying to cool down because every single thing DD is doing is driving me crazy! Thankfully dh came home early. Today is a day where I really question why I'm choosing to stay at home. Hang in there brenna - being at home all the time is hard. Even more so in the winter when everyone gets a little crazed from being cooped up inside. I hope today is going better.

Lots of popping off to see what brother is up to. Nymeria same here with nursing while eating!

I just Kon mari-ed the shit out of my dresser. It feels so good! I got rid of probably over half my clothes because haha no my boobs are not getting back into a C cup any time soon and my butt is so flat now most of my underwear doesn't fit at all. One drawer I was like hmm haven't opened this one in a LONG time... It was my sports bra drawer 😞
I really need to go through my closet, my body is never going to fit into some of my clothes again and I have some clothes from back in college 🤔. It just seems very daunting.

brenna yes!!! Are we talking KonMari now?!?! I've been working on this too! I've already done ALL my clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry and our books. I've been working on my kitchen. When I did the clothes, I followed her method and piled every piece of clothing from my closet and drawers on the floor. Mind you that I had purged boxes of clothing in the spring when we were pregnant.... The amount of clothing I had was still kinda shocking.

I got out the exersaucer yesterday thinking maaaaaybe DD might be ready for it. She dug it!
But my house is entering that phase where it's looking more and more like a freaking daycare with all the baby containment devices everywhere 😂

I haven't read the KonMari book or anything but I've read about the method and I've started folding most of my clothes the way she suggests (hello drawer space and oh that's where my pink tank top is!) And even have folded all the girls clothes that way and found some cute clothes that are shoved at the bottom of the drawer! I don't know how full blown we'll go with it but I'm ready to get rid of a lot of shit!

I've been putting dd2 in the little jumping thing we have, standing on a pile of books because her legs aren't long enough yet, but she loves it. I like to set her in it when dd1 is playing in our (disaster) play area.

I read some of it then just started purging and didn't finish reading it. Then the show came out, I binged it, then actually read the book and started working on the steps! It's funny, I've actually been putting my clothes upright in drawers like that for years! I don't fold them quite how she recommends but it made more sense to me to be able to see things in the drawers! I've always done the kid's drawers with all their clothing upright in drawers too.

ETA - now it's BOTH - baby gadgets AND toys everywhere! It's too much!

My husband thinks I'm kinda crazy since I all of a sudden started doing this, but he did say my dresser is the most organized its ever been. He also purged a few drawers today so hopefully we can slowly work our way through the house. I can't wait to get rid of all the baby stuff! My sister is due in May with a girl and I've already taken a car load of clothes and other stuff we're done with just to get it out of the house

I am doing a horrible job with drinking enough water 😟 every day I say I'll do better then I get distracted and forget and by then I'm like oh shoot and it's already too late. Starting solids in the past few weeks probably hasn't helped either. Solids can definitely bind them up too. We had to stop and ease back in to them a couple times with DS1 because of it. I'd try to drink more. Easier said than done I realize - days I work in the office I hit 80+oz no problem, work from home days and weekends I have a hard time getting past 40oz. After a couple days of sufficient water intake DS2 will basically clear himself out. Be prepared for a big one when it happens. We fed DD some pears last night and the flood Gates opened this morning! She pooped A LOT! Three huge poops in about twenty minutes and I'm sure there's more coming haha

DD must be worn out from having cousins over and watching all the kids play - she's taking a pretty awesome nap.
ETA - but DS missed his nap window, so hopefully bedtime isn't a nightmare.

M has been wearing underwear under her pull up all day and has stayed dry. P will only nap on me today. Every time I put her down she wakes up. So she’s had a lot of short naps today because we keep heading to the bathroom. I’m counting down until the h is home from work.

.... It's the motn and I'm stupidly awake with the Go Diego Go theme song on repeat in my head 😑
Also, I really want a smart thermostat that I can control from my phone. I cannot win with the temp in the house lately and I'm tired of having to go all the way downstairs to adjust the thermostat. Such a FWP, I know.

We looked into getting a Nest thermostat a while back and discovered our thermostat setup is not compatible. We also need a few windows replaced, our Den and kitchen are always drafty, which means the rest of the house gets blasted with heat on cold days. I end up cracking a window in the nursery because it's always suffocatingly hot at like 3am.

Same - lyme make me nervous so ticks are probably #2 on my most hated bug list. Only behind wasps and hornets. I had a dream they were all over the dog after finding the one last night. Yuck.

Dramaphile we also keep looking at getting a Nest - but we keep holding off because it's a little pricey. We have lousy windows too and I'm having the same issue with DD's room. And we have to keep her door pulled closed or else she wakes DS every time she cries since he's had to have his door open with all his sleep issues, so that just makes it warmer. She was up four times last night and I'm thinking it was because it was too warm.

Yesterday morning DD randomly figured out how to make the 'raspberries' sound with her lips. She's been spending so much time with this face of concentration just blowing raspberries 😂 So cute!

Dd1's room is always hot, dd2's room is freezing, DH wants a warm blanket and I woke up drenched in sweat numerous times last night. So we have the fan on in dd1's room, a heater in dd2's room and DH and I are going to have to start using our own blankets. Why is it so hard to regulate?!

DD is taking another awesome nap this morning! I don't want to get my hopes up, but maaaybe we're getting past the 30 minute nap phase 🤞🏻
She's probably just tired from all her wake-ups last night. Tomorrow she'll probably be back to 30 minute naps.

Our local country station played "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins followed by "Watching You" by Rodney Atkins just as I was getting back to work on my lunch break. I had to sit in my car an extra minute or two before going in.

I've shoveled twice today and you can't even tell since the snow just keeps coming. Every year I argue that we need a snowblower, but DH came from a family of "it's good for you! You need exercise anyways!" So he always is like nah, we're good, but after this year I will buy one as my birthday present if needed so we don't have to break our backs every day (x2-3 times on some days)
