I've shoveled twice today and you can't even tell since the snow just keeps coming. Every year I argue that we need a snowblower, but DH came from a family of "it's good for you! You need exercise anyways!" So he always is like nah, we're good, but after this year I will buy one as my birthday present if needed so we don't have to break our backs every day (x2-3 times on some days) Hell no to shoveling snow!! Definitely need a snowblower.

tbirdlove it gets me every time when DS looks for DD and gives her the biggest smiles and laughs. Seriously the cutest thing in the world.

I love the interaction between the girls right now! Yesterday they were both laying on the play mat together and dd1 kept saying "I love my sister" over and over. Dd2 has been getting very grabby lately though so dd1 gets mad when her hair or clothes get grabbed. She also "yells" at dd2 when she eats her toes or her blankets haha

I think we might have a first tooth coming soon. I'm pretty convinced DS2 is working on both of the center bottom 2. Today he's either super happy or a complete mess and chewing on all the things. If this is teething those suckers better cut through soon because complete mess baby is no fun.

Dd's wake times are still super short. She's 5.5 months old and most of the time after she's been awake for an hour and fifteen minutes she starts rubbing her eyes and getting fussy. Anybody else still have a baby that can't stay awake very long? It's hard to go anywhere because she gets tired so fast, although if we do go somewhere usually she's good for up to two hours.

Got the kids in the car and ready to go today and I see that my tire is completely flat. Huge nail curved into it. So I'm stuck here for a few days. Boo. brenna Me! But I have the youngest baby here so 🤷♀️ In regards to teething, I'm still in teething hell. I don't think DD's came in this slow. Like literally the tops of his teeth are above the surface just sitting there and my nipple is getting scraped. He's a miserable clingy baby with the shortest naps lately. Poor guy. I hope you all have quick teethers.

brenna my DD is usually awake for 1.5 - 2 hours. pixiepink24 hope you get your tire fixed soon and that the teething gets easier.

Ugh, not sure if it's early 4 month sleep regression or reflux/gas/trying to poop, but C's sleep has been crap the past couple of nights. He keeps waking up fussy and squirming and is really hard to settle back down. I ended up sleeping with him in the bed for about half the night last night, and he still woke up fussy and I had to get up and bounce him and finally got him to nurse. He also had trouble staying asleep when I put him down for the night at 8. Doesn't help when the 3yo crawls into bed with me at 5:30am. J said he's been clingier than usual during the day, too, so I don't know if he is having some tummy trouble or what. He pooped a bunch yesterday.

DramaphileI feel your pain. My 3.5 year old ends up on one side of me and DS is on the other side every night. DDpunched me square in the eye this morning. One day I'll sleep again. Lol

My little guy gets tired very easily, because if his heart and the extra work he puts in to breath they said it’s like he is constantly working out. So he eats around the clock and takes a couple more cat naps throughout the day.

I am really hoping C is like his sister and doesn't get his first tooth till 8 months. DS1 got teeth late and it was nice because he seemed to handle teething better than most babies I know. Would not have minded the same with DS2 but his seem to be working they're way in.

I think I see two little teeth starting to move up on dd's bottom gum. I'm not totally sure though because every time I try to look DD sticks out her tongue and covers her gums!

Happy Valentine's Day!
We went out for breakfast this morning. I was gifted a nice public blowout from DD and between both kids MH and I spent majority of the meal alternating trips to the bathroom! 😂 #parenthood

Last night at dd's first wake up I went to pick her up and she was soaking wet from head to toe. I turned on her lamp and there was orange spit up (she ate a ton of sweet potatoes for dinner) covering half her bed, all of her clothes and caked in her ears and hair 😥 she was freezing cold and must have been sitting in it for at least a little while. I felt so bad 😟 DH came in to see why DD was crying so much as I was frantically trying to get all her clothes off and all he could say was "whoa!" Because it looked like an orange bomb went off in her room.

Aww your poor DD brenna. It's amazing how cold skin can get when it's wet - DS1's hands are always ice cubes because he chews on them leaving them wet then they cold. Hope the rest of the night went ok.

She got lots of extra snuggles from me to warm up and was fine the rest of the night ☺️

Oh no brenna your poor DD 😥 Glad she got some extra cuddles to make up for the yucky, spit up incident. I'm sure she was happy with that outcome!

It's so crazy. Recently DD's naps have lengthened. Very randomly one day she just started napping longer!

Last night we booked a trip down to my parents house in Arizona for the end of next month! It'll be interesting traveling with the two girls plus all the crap we'll need. I'm already trying to plan out how to get through the airport with carseats, stroller, carrier, etc.

brenna we'd like to plan a trip to FL in the upcoming months to visit family as well. You'll have to let me know what works for lugging all the carseats through the airport!

You'll have to let me know what works for lugging all the carseats through the airport! thankfully my parents have a bucket seat for dd2 and I almost want to get a Graco 4-ever and just ship it there because with my sister's two kids and our two I'm sure it will get used many times for many years. We are going to send some other stuff with my parents when they go down in a few weeks so hopefully that will make things more manageable.

If it will get enough use that's a great idea to keep a carseat like that there! We bought diapers and stuff on Amazon and had them delivered to family when we went to FL with just DS. ETA - But your DD1 is 2 now, so she'll need her carseat on the plane, right? So the 4-ever being there wouldn't really help you this trip cause you'll still have to lug her seat on the plane. Then you'll have it with you anyways.
