So, I've noticed that DD doesn't nap well when she doesn't roll to her tummy. If she sleeps on her side or back she almost always wakes up crying after only 30-45 minutes. If she rolls to her tummy she usually sleeps longer and wakes up more pleasant. I always still lay her down on her back, but I'm thinking maybe I should lay her down on her tummy to begin with to avoid all these broken naps.

If she can roll both ways on her own, no reason not to put her on her tummy. I think C wants to be a tummy sleeper. He currently sleeps on his side and I think once he figures out how to roll completely he'll sleep better that way.

And it was probably more of an accident that she did it.

Dramaphile - Sounds like it was good you made that appointment. I hope you can figure everything out. meggriffin - That sounds so frustrating. I hope you can get a straight forward answer soon.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear about the necessary heart surgery 😢 I can't even imagine how stressful and worrisome that is for you. I hope the whole journey is as easy as can be for everyone. So many hugs 💓 We have known it was a possibility since he was 4 weeks old, but they kept raving about how well he was doing so I thought for sure we were going to avoid it, but his meds are just not working anymore and his breathing is still labored. It took me by surprise when they told us. It’s actually just really starting to hit me now as I get ready for tomorrow. I’ll be thinking about you tomorrow. Hopefully the surgery can be scheduled quickly and he recovers well.

DS has officially started to roll back to belly and he won't stop every time I put him down. He's been doing belly to back for a bit now. Guess i can't just lay him down anywhere anymore. Lol!

I hate month-end at work. I'm almost an hour and a half late for my first pump session. At this point I don't see being able to get in 3 sessions like a typical work day.

Dd1 and I are going stir crazy. Any ideas for a 2.5 year old to do that involves minimal effort for me? So far today we have cut up papers (obviously with me helping her) played in the snow, glued pieces of paper together, colored, played with play doh and it's not even lunch time...

brenna, do you have any balloons? Just a plain old, non-helium balloon entertains my DS for a while. You could build a fort for her to play in with couch cushions and a blanket.

Do you have any beads? My daughter loved to put beads on string at that age, although she wasn't one to put things in her mouth. Bake cookies. Play 52 card pickup.

Dd2 hasn't pooped in several days (3-4 days and she used to poop several times a day) and has been eating a lot less (and is sleeping a ton!) This is probably just a growth spurt or something right? I don't need to worry about her lack of pooping until it's been a week+?

brenna - Very normal for EBF babies to go a while without pooping. I know with DS2, as was the case with DS1, as soon as I start slacking on my water intake he gets backed up. If I keep up with my hydration he poops more frequently, but still not every day.

I am doing a horrible job with drinking enough water 😟 every day I say I'll do better then I get distracted and forget and by then I'm like oh shoot and it's already too late. Starting solids in the past few weeks probably hasn't helped either.

Starting solids in the past few weeks probably hasn't helped either. Solids can definitely bind them up too. We had to stop and ease back in to them a couple times with DS1 because of it. I'd try to drink more. Easier said than done I realize - days I work in the office I hit 80+oz no problem, work from home days and weekends I have a hard time getting past 40oz. After a couple days of sufficient water intake DS2 will basically clear himself out. Be prepared for a big one when it happens.

Today was super long. I had school, pta meeting, and then an OMT appointment for my shoulder. It’s been over a month and my shoulder feels soo much better. I’m trying to be careful about how I carry P in her car seat so I don’t tweak it again.
The H took P to her eye dr appointment today. The dr said that her eyelid on be on her right eye is bigger so it makes her eyes look off. He also said he saw an astigmatism. So we have that to look forward too. H made an appointment for M to get her eyes checked next week. I was going to wait until the summer before kindergarten but if he wants to take her more power to him.

One year ago I peed on lots of sticks in total disbelief that I could be pregnant. It's funny, on Monday lots of people in Philly were sharing FB memories from the superbowl win and I was thinking "one year ago today, C was conceived." I guess he has to be an Eagles fan, now. Funny we had a superbowl baby when MH and I are both not Eagles fans (Jets for him, I used to be a Chargers fan but they are dead to me now).

The two year old skipped her nap today and I'm at the end of my rope. I'm currently hiding in my room trying to cool down because every single thing DD is doing is driving me crazy! Thankfully dh came home early. Today is a day where I really question why I'm choosing to stay at home.

One of my breasts is aching today. There's a fairly constant dull ache with waves of increased aching. It doesn't feel full, no redness or anything and I don't think I feel a lump like a clogged duct in there. Any ideas what could be going on?

I would make sure that since gets emptied well while nursing today.

DD is getting to the stage where she gets very distracted while nursing and she's starting to grab, pinch, pull, scratch etc. I've had to start feeding her in her room because out in the living room she is always looking around and never wants to eat. My boobs have scratch marks all over them 😟
