I've been looking at pictures and videos of dd1 tonight and it's crazy how little she was just a year ago. If dd2 walks when dd1 did she'd be walking in 4 months ðŸ˜ðŸ˜®ðŸ˜¯
I am loving this stage. I love how dd2 is learning new stuff all the time, she's responding and interacting so much with everyone. If babies came out like a 6-7 month old I would maybe contemplate having another. But probably not. 2 is more than enough for us.

I feel like DS looks like he's grown up quite a bit just from when DD was born. When I look at photos from just before I got pregnant DS seems so much younger than I remember him being at that time.

brennaIt's hard not to reminisce. I've been showing DD her pics and videos of being the same age at DS. I also like to compare how they looked at each stage too. DD took her first unassisted steps at 7.5 months so I really don't think he will do the same. I do think he will be an early crawler just not an early walker. He is managing to pull himself a bit already.

Last night was probably our best night yet. DS slept 3 hours first stretch, 3 hours again, then two! It was glorious and two of those stretches weren't in my bed so I was able to be nice and comfy. 🙌 Perhaps it was the shots or the Tylenol. My left boob hates me though.

pixiepink24 - Our best night ever was after DS2's 2 month shots so it very well could have been from those. No matter the reason it's always nice to actually get some sleep!!

I always have to remember though that even though they were conceived the same week of the year, dd1 was a week late and dd2 was 3 weeks early so dd2 is probably going to be "behind" where dd1 was. I also know you can't compare one kid to another but it's interesting that they both rolled over at about the same time, sat up at the same time, etc. Dd2 is a lot more passive than dd1 so I'm guessing she won't crawl or walk as early. Having two moving kids will be difficult though so I'm not pushing dd2 to start moving any time soon!

My knee and stuff is feeling a bit better today. It still hurts quite a bit if I put too much pressure on it when my knee is bent - so sitting down, standing up from seated, squatting.
We also had a great sleep night last night. Only one wake up for DD 🙂 I love when I wake up in the morning and don't feel like shit! Haha!
I went and ran a bunch of the little errands I've been wanting to take care of by myself today!! I also enrolled DS for nursery school today.

I feel like I’m constantly running around. By the time the girls get to bed I am crashing too. P wakes consistently every night so one of us ends up in the couch with her in the swing. M was a MUCH better sleeper. I keep thinking that we need to just deal and keep pushing her crib, but I like sleeping.

akwild - Yea, I keep giving up MOTN and cosleeping because I just want to sleep, but I'm realizing that isn't the best option for long term. I keep using the excuse that I don't want DS2 to wake up DS1 if I let him CIO, but it may just be an excuse because I'm not sure DS1 would even hear him.

akwildYeah I'm team no sleep here too as I said above. He consistently wakes every two hours so three hours were huge for us. Plus he sleeps in my bed or the swing. I usually stick him in the swing the last two hour stretch so I can get real sleep before getting up. Not only that but DD is still climbing in my bed too and she recently punched me in the eye in her sleep. So both kids basically want me to never sleep. Lol! I hope we both start getting more sleep soon!!!

If DD has a later wake up, but still too early to actually get up, I end up co-sleeping too to get a little more sleep. I don't let her CIO because I KNOW she'll wake DS and then he'd be crying too. He used to sleep through all of her night antics.... Until the night fears started 😞 Now he has to have his door open and he wakes more easily. So, we're just doing what we need to do! I know it won't be like this forever.

I was feeding DS2 this morning and asked DS1 to go get my boots and his shoes so we could leave for school after. He runs to the mud room and comes back carrying my boots. He had put one of his shoes in each of my boots so he could grab all 4 in one trip. I was so impressed - seems like some pretty good problem solving for a 2 year old!

I'm also team MOTN cosleeping. C sleeps in his crib for the first couple of stretches at night and then has a hard time staying asleep after about 4am, so I just nurse him laying down and then sleep with him. Otherwise i end up having to get up every hour or less for the last few hours before I get up for work. The only challenge is transferring him back to his crib after I wake up (DH stays home with the kids), so sometimes he ends up in the Mamaroo, where he usually passes back out.

I feel like my postpartum hair loss is crazy this time around, I'm shedding like a Golden retriever! Luckily I have thick hair so it's not noticeable as of yet.

I joke that I'm shedding worse than my lab. With DS1 it was worse around 4-6 months, so I'm really hoping it's about to slow down. My hair looks fine, I'm just tired of how much comes out in the shower right now.

Need to get a damn lint roller to contain this.

DS2 decided this week that he does't like to sleep in his crib anymore. Or really nap at all. There is not a lot of sleep happening around here.

I found a few hairs today that I couldn't decide if they were grey or just really blond. I'm going to tell myself they were just really blond, but they were probably grey 😥 I blame it on the dds!

Or when you're already feeling done with the day, but you've only just made it through breakfast 😂

Add another to the hair loss. I got my hair cut last week and my hairstylist recommended a shampoo and conditioner that encourages hair regrowth. It’s coming out so fast, i already have super fine hair and a longer pixie. I don’t know how much more I could lose.
We had a school event tonight so I spent 12 hours at school. I beat. But the kids love it, and we don’t have many free family events .
