Sunny41 I hope you made it home safe and sound today. I’m seeing tons of awful traffic pics and stranded vehicles on highway in STL.

30 minutes from discharge and he turned grey, heart rate dropped to 40 and blood pressure plummeted. They did 2 ekgs immediately and thought for sure he was having a heart attack. He was fighting them and swore it was all the pain meds. They did blood work and a 3rd ekg. It came back clear. We have no idea what the fuck is happening.

No no, I’m glad he was still at the hospital at least. I’m assuming he will end up admitted though?

So the next ekg came back weird but not heart attack weird like the 1st one. Waiting on blood tests again. Hes still insisting hes fine.
Eta: next blood work came back good. Doctor told my brother and I that we're good to go home and he's out of the woods. A is coming to get us. My mom will stay until they discharge him. They're fighting with him over how long they observe him.. we still have no idea why his ekgs are off. When the nurse came in after reading the first one she was pale and ready to wheel him into a trauma bay. It showed stymie heart attack and my mom knows what that means and lost her mind. Apparently it's the worst kind? I have no idea. But I'll be watching him like a hawk from here on out. He dismisses every illness as nothing. Hes not pulling that crap anymore. He scared me to death.

Oh @peach. I’m so glad he was still in the hospital. Seriously. We would have been driving home if it had been any later.

peachsmama So many scares today! That’s his quota for 2019. Hope the next few days are manageable for him. Glad everything seems to be fine!

Go home and get some rest peachsmama. I hope whatever was going on with your dad is over. Do they think maybe it was a clot from his injury?

He said he should of stayed because my mom sat up all night poking his arm to make sure compartment syndrome wasnt setting in and feeling his pulse to make sure his heart rate wasnt bottoming out. Thatll teach him lol.

FFSC LO has not seen any Star Wars, gremlins, Marvel, etc. I’m a little over protective about what he watches. I was on the fence about The Incredibles.

I’m not a little protective, I’m OTT, ds still hasn’t seen any Disney movies... Some of the movies i’d like to watch with him aren’t translated into Dutch and since ds can’t read subtitles we’ll have to wait a few years.

E hasn't seen any of the movies but we have some kids story books. Also the Disney short marvel episodes are pretty lesson based so that might be a start. I don't think those are any worse than pj mask

B hasn't either, although most of that is lack of interest on his part. I'd watch Star Wars again first but I think I'd let him see those. I'm not familiar enough with the comic book movies to make a judgement. I did let him see the Jurassic Park movies after watching them again myself. My mom was the queen of policing our TV/movies when we were kids but she let my dino-obsessed sister see Jurassic Park at around 5 or 6. Those are the only 'adult' movies he's seen. When we were home over Christmas, we were hanging out at my sister's and her neighbor's kids came over to join us for a bit. B asked if they had seen Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, and the girl (who was probably 10-11) was like, "No, b/c my mom said that's not appropriate." B looked at me like, "uh oh" and my whole family was trying not to laugh. MOTY, right here!!

However the kids at preschool teach him about these things so maybe it’s time to let him. He’s been good (at least at home) about not copying the hitting and kicking from the Incredibles

I had a hard time writing that out because E gets more like that when watching pj mask so I try to limit that. But I can only handle so much Sophia the first
