wedding Can you do it Tuesday instead? I just got a call from DC that S has a fever. Ugh. Both Flu and Strep are going around his classroom and his BFF has Croup. Fingers crossed it's just a fever and doesn't progress into anything! MH is working from home and trying to get off a conference call to go get him. I'm heading out of here shortly. Unfortunately no. Monday was the only day I didn’t have a full plate. |

Hi from the salon, having a glass of red wine while my color processes. I did get some laundry done and blinds dusted today so this is my reward.
I think DH is going to get the kids CFA while I’m here and we’re going to do PF Chang’s take-out for dinner once they’re in bed.

@peachesmama so glad to hear it's only his arm and that he still has feeling in his fingers. Make sure he takes all the time to heal and doesn't go back early.

Tonight is our holiday party so I have to leave early, change, grab DH, and get to the restaurant in time to put the favors out. Fortunately we have separate rooms for cocktail hour versus dinner, but I still feel like I'm going to be rushing around. I do the majority of the planning for this event every year, so I'm super excited to get it behind me. Until next year.
Also it's Chase's favorite teacher's last day before going on maternity leave. He's had good and bad days with the potty training and I'm really hoping this doesn't derail his progress, but who knows? He's such a weird little dude, I have no clue what to expect with him.

He doesnt believe theres no broken bones because hes convinced he heard them break. He made the resident look at the xrays because he doesn't trust the doctor.. hes a great patient lol.

jewels Neverending Story and Gremlins are also on my list. MH was very resistant to Gremlins because according to him it is a very terrifying horror movie. I was trying to keep a straight face as he told me how scared he was when he first saw it (he was a grown man at the time).

He must be high on the pain medication. He wants my mom to take him to a different hospital for a second opinion. He knows they're broken. |

Tonight mh and I are going to see Jeremy Enigk. It's at a coffee shop/eatery downtown. Which means Cadence gets to hang with Pa tonight. FX she's asleep when we go to pick her up, but past experience says she'll wait up for us.

We watched Sing last night. Cadence randomly started crying. When I asked what was wrong she said she just wanted them to sing "Shake it Off".....uh...ok.

Someone called in sick so I said I’d work in the ER tonight from 6:30-midnight. I haven’t worked there in a while and I think some things have changed a bit so I hope it’s not too much of a struggle to get back in the groove. H got to take home Pete the cat for the weekend, next week she’s star of the week. So now I have to plan activities and write a thing in the “journal” about our weekend. I love it when teachers give parents homework. Although H was super excited to bring it home. Josie’s class uses a Franklin. It hasn’t made it to her, yet, though! |

The party is at this fancy-ish restaurant close to the office - it mainly caters to business people (think client dinners). Our cocktails will be in a private barroom and dinner will be in a room with an entire wall of windows. We had money to burn this year so burn it, we will. I'm more than mildly excited. |

We have been switching from freezing rain to sleet and back all afternoon. We have 3 dogs outside, all have heated beds and heated water bowls. But only 2 have a roof over their kennel. The puppy is in the part we added on this fall and we haven’t got a roof on it yet. So I suggested we bring Java (chocolate lab house trained mama dog) inside, and move the puppy to her kennel that is covered. MH said “good idea”. Went outside....came back inside with the PUPPY. The non house trained, chewing, energetic, crazy lab puppy. This should be an interesting night.  |

It’s decided... I’m going to order sushi take out. I plan on getting the kids hibachi meals so I can have a little bit of everything plus my favorite roll. Much excite.
I will also be opening a bottle of wine and putting on a movie for the kids.

He acts like a monster who wants to torment the kids by letting them watch something like Gremlins but he lets them watch Star Wars, Marvel movies, LotR, etc.  |
