klong11 do you take anything for your reflux? MH's is horrible but Omeprazole usually manages it well. Yes, I usually take Omeprazole, but a couple months ago my Dr switched it to something else that sucks and doesn't help at all. I went to Walgreens and got some Omeprazole otc and took 2. Hoping they kick in soon. My dr tried switching me to ranitidine (Zantac) back when I was having my worst symptoms....it didn’t work at all and I asked to go back to the omeprazole. Even after my surgery I still have to take it every day or else I’m miserable. But it’s better than before the surgery. I hope you are feeling better soon! |

I finished this ridiculously huge chocolate cake for my moms birthday, Christmas crinkle cookies and have mint chocolate chip on the fridge. After I shower and do evies nails, i may do sugar cookies. But I'd rather go sit at my brothers house and drink wine. Drink wine while you do the cookies! I would be useless. Plus, i dont know who's whose driving to my brothers. I clearly do baking wrong! |

Hi!!
I’m annoyed with my husband. We have about 20 million things to do to get ready for Christmas, clean up from our party last night, and get ready to leave on the 26th to visit HIS family. And what is he doing? Napping. I’m so sick of being the one that dies all the shopping/wrapping/cleaning/packing.

@nam, can you tell me how you make your parsnips? Approximately, i don’t need amounts, just a general Idea if they’re roasted or pan fried. Hang on, I’ll find the recipe!  Eta my family loves these and are sad they’re not getting them this year  . You could just skip the potatoes and I’m sure you could use olive oil/butter iso goose fat. |

I am catching up on today- I’ve missed all you people! I’m sorry about the fight nam2013 😞 Hope you guys were able to work it out. I try to keep cards. I like to go back and look at them. Besides- what if someone gets famous and I can be like, look we are so tight is get a Christmas card from them  I hope you guys all got my cards! They were super late this year (for me) I was having postage issues. And I’m so sorry to anyone not in the country I didn’t have my shit together enough to send you cards. I’ll be sure to prepare for that next year! 😞☺️ I absolutely love all your cards! Was Bird Box good inthekitty ??! MH is great until we are hosting/going on a trip/leading up to a holiday ..then he's cleaning the garage or doing something that isn't helpful at all. Or he will do the grocery store but not buy half the ingredients. |

sands42 I really enjoyed Bird Box. I love Sandra Bullock. Especially for a direct to Netflix the quality was good. Apparently it's a rip off of A Quiet Place, but I haven't seen it so 🤷♀️

We had our small Christmas with my in laws tonight and besides just the 4 of us on Christmas morning, this is my favorite "Christmas" of 6 that we par take in.. my bil and his gf got me a beautiful elephant bracelet and books for the baby 😊  |

Today was a good day. LO and my mom went and saw Mary Poppins returns. They also decorated a gingerbread house. LO and C made and decorated cookies for Santa 🎅🏻. E started army crawling backwards today I also got a visit from cagoldi and she got me an adorable Dumbo ornament. Now I’m soaking in the tub hoping to get rid of a headache. |

The party was a lot of fun today. Dhs cousins long time girlfriend has been working at my old clinic the past six months and had no idea. She’s seen and heard my name but never put two and two together. I was able to see new pics of my work cats. It was a cool connection. Dhs aunt whose son died two winters ago now from CF gave everyone the sweetest gift. Last year we got remembrance bracelets. This year she gave us all one of these  He always said he “lived by penguin theory” and we never really paid attention. What a great way to live. He was such an amazing person and it was so sad to lose him but I’m so happy I knew him and love that his mom does these things every year. |

Guys. I am 100% done wrapping Christmas gifts. I decided to wrap Santa gifts tonight so I don’t have to worry about it tomorrow night. I have them hiding in the garage under a blanket. My Oreo truffle ?dough? is chilling in the fridge, ready to be rolled in the morning. I am ready!

I put the fear of God in my kids on the way to grandma and grandpas.. "no matter what the gift is YOU SMILE AND SAY THANK YOU! SMILE AND THANK YOU, got me??? We can talk about you not liking something once we get home. SMILE AND THANK YOU!" it worked. Jack opened something and didnt even Know what it was and he got super excited "mommy look! We got we got we got.... THESE!" it was hysterical.

Morning! We woke up to a little dusting of snow. It’s looks really pretty and is helping me get excited for today.
I have a few things to prep for tomorrow, but otherwise, I should be able to sit back and enjoy the holiday.

I just tired to convince Josie that Santa might like a nice piece of cheese instead of cookies for his snack. I lobbied for the protein content, the salty factor, the boredom of ALL COOKIES ALL NIGHT. She did not budge. Cookies it is.
