I paid off my student loans this past spring, the best! Then I got a new car so it's like I still have the loan payment. I really only got a new car since we added a kid. I hope you get your car soon, what do you have your eye on?

I’m awake and catching up. Josie just yelled over the monitor, “Mom, is it morning?” I told her not yet and she went back to bed! Why haven’t I tried this before?!?

I’m a pw this morning. Mh just got up and when I told him what happened with Josie and the monitor he said, they’ve slept enough, they should get up. I’m annoyed with his statement — why shouldn’t they sleep and also bc I’m getting af and I get very resentful when I’m pms-ing.

I’d be pissed, too, slenle. Feel how you want, but don’t tell the kids. We still buy for all the littles (7 of them, but ages 4-30 and most are in their 20s now!). Except for the 4 year old, we do 25 dollars to Starbucks and call it a day. It adds up, but no one ever mentions it, and they are very generous to Josie and Charlie so I don’t say anything.

Hope all the sick kids feel better!

I’m also team Christmas cards for myself. I misordered this year and didn’t get to save one for me. I want to order one on tiny prints, but the shipping is astronomical for ONE card!

My aunt is hosting Christmas Eve again. She and her daughter (my cousin) are really trying so hard to make this year extra special bc of all the loss our family dealt with this past spring. The food is always incredible, but she’s been sending texts every couple of days about little things we can do while we’re there and offering funny wardrobe suggestions like, should we do pajamas, ugly sweaters, super formal? They bought ceramics for the kids to paint and glass mugs for the adults to paint if we want an activity.
We’re doing a big scratch off game instead of buying presents for the adults.
It’s all very sweet (and makes me feel a little guilty that I still want to leave early).

Girl, i could do the same for much cheaper. I dont keep cards, I throw them away after the holiday, so Ill send it back to you next week! I still have extra envelopes.

Im up, thanks to evie hollaring across the house for me. Today is my moms birthday, so we will go to my brothers late this afternoon to celebrate. Im making a chocolate cake and stuff for a baked potato bar.

I save cards and pack them away with the Christmas decorations, then after I look at them the following year I recycle them.

I’m fighting with my h. It resulted in Dh not going to visit my grandparents for Christmas with the kids and me resulting in asking my parents if they could take me and the kids since I have a fear of driving. We almost never fight and I hate it. I also don’t want to fight in front of the kids, so I’m playing nice in front of them. I want it to be tonight so we can hash this out and be done with it.

Seriously, I'll send it back! I have extra stamps left anyway that will be in my wallet for most of the year since I rarely mail anything! If the mail picks up tomorrow (it should, right?), I can get it out. I hate knowing you dont have a copy and Im going to throw it away!

I keep all of mine too. I saw an idea for punching out a hole in the corner and putting them on an O ring. I need to do that. Right now they are all held together with a tiny buffalo clip but that definitely won’t work for this year’s cards.

Morning! I’m at work, and it’s been quiet which I’m fully on board with. No real plans for the rest of the day except making Oreo truffles for tomorrow. I had DH get my groceries and he got this chocolate dipping stuff that’s in a small container that looks like ezmac. I don’t think it’s going to be enough so he may be going back to the store.

Same! Mine are all binder clipped up in a Tupperware container that has my extra blank Christmas cards.

We got two Christmas letters, and one hand written card. All of them came from women in their late 50s or 60s. Everything else was a picture card.

Handwritten is still the norm over here. I stopped sending them a few years ago, because I never got any back 🤷🏼‍♀️.

This is the first year I’ve ever done a Christmas card. The only cards I get are from people our age with kids.
