I spent 6 hours running all over the city yesterday. I still need to go to Ulta today because I’m out of primer & MH needs to pick up Mara’s bike.

All i want to do today is sit around and listen to Christmas music. I have no desire to go to any store or anywhere really. I’m also a little hungover from the wine i drank. MH will die though if we are all home together all day. He gets stir crazy and loses patience. I sent him to the gym, hopefully that helps.
I also woke up at 2:30am to pee and did not fall back asleep. At. All. I think the wine plus the prednisone I’m on gave me insomnia or something. I probably wasn’t supposed to drink on antibiotics and steroids.

Looking for advice on 2 separate things:
How do you extend time between potty trips while training? Chase is doing great at home in underwear, we even take him out on short trips wearing them. But he's wet constantly at daycare. He's in pull-ups there, but he stays dry in pull-ups with us. I know it stems from not using the potty as often at school but I don't remember how we got Colin to extend time.
Next, Colin smells. He bathes daily with soap and bubble bath, and gets a shampoo every other day. But OMG, by the evening he smells awful! It's gross to be around but more importantly, I don't want anyone making fun of him for it. I have been washing his sheets more often and sneaking in to make sure he doesn't have his blanket over his head in his sleep. Any other ideas??

Somehow, I did not order enough cards this year. We send them to friends/family and this year we did neighbors and H's employees. Every year I get some from people I did not send to, and I kick myself for not ordering more. But who wants a bunch of leftovers? I just add their name and address to the list for next year. Confesh: Since I ran out, I did not send to two of my least favorite neighbors, but made sure I sent to all of N13. Also, H's co-worker who made inappropriate comments via group text (I told you guys about that sitch) card is basically hidden behind two N13's. It almost got tossed, but I am a lady after all. Got a good look at that heifer, though.  |

guster I could send your card back to you if you want, then you have one you can keep  . It is so pretty, I love the feel and look of that paper. You’re sweet, but it’s fine! I’ll end up ordering it the next time I order prints I always add in at least one for me, and now I make sure to add one for each kid to save for them. Who knows if they will want them, but I hope they might like seeing them someday. |

This is the first year I’ve ever done a Christmas card. The only cards I get are from people our age with kids. I get a lot from families with kids our age, extended family, and then about 40 from mh's work. Those get acknowledged and put in a pile. The ones from family friends go on the wall or hung up for weeks. I didn't send to group - I can IG msg or text a pic of it anyone wants to see |

Morning! I have to brave Walmart today to get a heater for S’s fish tank that we got her for Christmas. We’ve almost got it ready for fish. Just need to make sure things are stable in the water then we will get some fish in a few days. She’s already thrilled with it and there’s not even fish yet! But she stared and points and says “ish” about 1000x a day.
Today is MH’s birthday so I’m going to pick up some crab legs and steak for dinner.

joelies it might be time for deodorant. Some kids need it early. My boss’ youngest needed it for kindergarten.

I was going to suggest this too. We just switched to Dove and no change. I have to be careful because his skin is so sensitive. What lotion do you use? Eta: I just googled and it says that if they start having BO before like 9 then you should talk to his pedi. It could be early onset puberty. |

A few people here and some IRL people I know got new cars this year and I’m so jealous! I really want mine, but I was focusing on paying off my student loan... which will be done by the end of next month- yay!- and just waiting my turn. I’m really bummed it won’t happen as soon as I thought it would. I’m trying to just talk myself into just being glad that I will be completely debt free and basking in it for a few months. I paid off my student loans this past spring, the best! Then I got a new car so it's like I still have the loan payment. I really only got a new car since we added a kid. I hope you get your car soon, what do you have your eye on? I really don’t know. I’ve been looking at cars for months online and not sure. I definitely have to go test drive a few and sort out my options. I thought I wanted a Lexus RX, but the more practical me is thinking a fully loaded 4Runner or Explorer for now. |

joelies maybe try an all natural deodorant or maybe some type of powder. You say he is sensitive to soaps, but maybe an antibacterial soap once or twice a week? I have a dial antibacterial soap that I will mix with dove to use on the boys every once in a while or when they are sick with something contagious. I used some on M2 when he had HFM.
