slenle wow. I’d be pissed too! chrisy01 hugs lady. I hope everything is ok. I think I’ve gotten everyone’s Christmas cards and I love them all! Mine when out late so hopefully they are starting to show up! So my dad has been hinting about wanting to get a cat or a dog now that they are officially in AZ. So my mom asked me to go with her to petsmart for their adoption event, and we ended up leaving with two kittens. We are keeping them until Christmas Day and they’re going to be from Santa, so we snuck them in the house and put them in a box in the living room with a not from Santa asking the kids to take care of them for a few days and our elf would take them back to the north pole on Christmas Eve. These kittens are so freaking cute and sweet and just want to be cuddled! Tonight is the atv light parade. About 300 atvs get together and decorate with Christmas lights and play Christmas movies and throw candy to kids as the do a long route through several neighborhoods. It’s so cool and the route goes right in front of our house we we’re having a bunch of friends over. We will set up the fire pit in the driveway and our projector screen to play a Christmas movie for the kids .

She wants to know if I'm hosting and what night I want to have it on. 368 days in advance. Well she has to plan. 🙄 I would totally want to plan 364 days out but no one else would/will but I wouldn’t get mad at anyone else. I hate to say it but if my grandma is gone, I'm not hosting my ungrateful cousins. My mom can handle her family.. if grandma is alive, I will. But that would get me yelled at more so.. 🤷♀️ |

Well, I kind of went off. Oops. My sister’s not even here yet but I couldn’t stop myself from bitching about the lack of communication between us siblings. I think I scared my brother. Lol. But at least it happened before I had any wine. So now I’m on glass number 2 and feeling much better.

I just dont know why any adult wouldn't jump at not having to find 11 individualized gifts for children. They're so hard to shop for! Jack I could walk through target and easily fill a cart for him. M.. it takes me forever to think of things for him. Hes just hard to nail down.

Oh my god. The Netherlands have discovered the goodness that is red velvet and are selling it in our supermarket for the holidays. I just had way to big of a piece. It’s a shame that the American version is still sooooo much better. There is no such thing as 'way to big of a piece' of red velvet. I'm making some red velvet cream cheese cookies for Mrs Santa Claus! |

My mom is currently pissed at me because I wont commit to Christmas plans for NEXT YEAR Oof. I thought my mom was bad hammering down holidays in July. It’s better than waiting till 2 days before the holiday. I can tell you my plans for next Christmas because it’s my holiday to work. |

So I just realized that if I didn’t partake in the n13 card exchange we would have only gotten two cards this year. And those two cards were sent in response to ours. It makes me question if I should continue or not.
I’m leaning towards still doing it because at least our relatives get some pictures of the kids.

I sent out 79 cards and have received probably 40, half from you all. Im seriously thinking about crossing the people off my list who didnt send any. Cards are expensive! |

DH and I went to the grocery store together with the 2 little boys. It was chaos, I now have 5lbs of baking soda because I needed a teaspoon and they were all out of the small ones, and we still ended up going out for burgers for dinner. Also, after a decade of talking about how we need an extra freezer, DH decided to go buy one right now (not a gift, just a random thing).
T has been talking a lot about my grandma who died in June. He wants to go visit her apartment but I’m trying to explain someone else lives there now. I told him we can bake her special cookies though so now that I have the ingredients, hopefully we will do that tonight.

Although our plans were 100% dependent on the government shutdown since MH is considered essential. So we had to wait and see. So now that it is shutdown, all his leave that he had scheduled is canceled and he has to work...with no pay for now. |

Same mwhip, except I sent 60+ and only got about a dozen. I didn't have enough so I didn't share my address but I may just plan to buy the same amount and dramatically edit my existing list. |
