H woke up at 3am crying that his ear hurts. It’s been exactly 1 year since his tubes and the right ear tube came out a few months ago. So I’ll probably take him in right away this morning so he can still go to daycare since i have my work holiday lunch.
I slept terribly since he was hogging the bed. And I have a headache from the wine I drank last night... and yes it was the wine, not how much i drank 😉

Morning ladies! Happy Friday! I work half day today, then start to a week and half time off! I need to finish wrapping everything and clean the house up since my dad, step mom, brother, SIL and their kids are coming tonight for Christmas. We will go eat BBQ, then come back to our house for gifts and drinks. I may try to whip up some Christmas desert, if I have time.
The puppy woke me up at 3:30 this morning getting sick. In our bed. H was able to lift the blankets so it didn't get to the bottom sheet, so we replaced the blanket and flat sheet and went back to bed. Took me forever to fall asleep, worried she was going to vomit again. When my alarm went off at 5:15, I hit snooze and Addie crawled up next to me. After a minute, I felt something warm and though "Is she peeing on me?" So I put my hand down to see what was going on and there was a wet spot on my tank top. For some stupid reason, I smelled my hand and nope, not pee, but I think she had a wet fart. So fucking gross. The day can really only go up, right?

It’s pouring here— miserable weather really. I have no outside plans so we might make more salt dough ornaments and maybe some gingerbread cookies.

I got new wireless earbuds maybe a month ago, and anytime I wear them for more than 20 minutes, it makes my TMJ really act up. Anybody else have that weird issue?

Morning! Dreary weather here, too, guster. It's been raining on-and-off--but mostly on--for 36 hours now. DH is going to have to let water out of the pool when he gets home, it's in danger of overflowing. There were tornados reported in the OBX last night but thankfully nothing up here. I am currently constructing my daily LEGO build, and then I need to make the kids breakfast and start working on packing.

guster what kind of earbuds? I wear them when I go to the gym, so for an hour, and have never had any comfort issues. Are you sure they fit properly? If not, maybe you're clinching your jaw hoping they don't fall out?

Is VA sort of the line where you can leave it uncovered all year?

If not, maybe you're clinching your jaw hoping they don't fall out? I usually only wear one. They’re the Apple wireless buds. My left ear tends to give me trouble because I have a mole on the tragus (is that what it’s called?), so earbuds tend to fit me improperly on the left.

I'm apparently going to be a PW this morning. Does anyone else have dry scalp? Like, around the hairline, you can see dry skin? And if I scratch my scalp, it flakes. Is this dandruff and I'm just developing it? I have very fine, thin hair, so I can't use heavy shampoos/conditioners. I also really need to get a humidifier in our bedroom, which I'm sure would help. Or do I just need clarifying shampoo to make sure I'm getting the scalp clean? I do wash my hair every day and don't use a lot of product, just whatever I put in before blowing it dry for volume and then maybe a bit of oil to tame the frizzies.

Maybe try to wash it every other day? The hot water could be doing a number on your scalp

I also use the smallest things on them that go into the ear opening (whatever those things are called) because a lot of other ear buds don't fit my ear holes (LOL) well. I have a hard time keeping them in. These are what I use, Skullcandy, i think they were $25 at Target.

Maybe I don't know how to style it well, but because of how thin it is, it just looks terrible the second day. But I could try it. I am also massaging coconut oil into my scalp nightly, since I use that to remove my eye makeup, I just use whatever is left on my hands and rub it into my scalp.

Over the course of the winter, leaves and water collected on top. We felt like that created a safety hazard (moreso than even an open pool), plus it looked awful. So this year, we decided to leave it open, and we'll just run the pump overnight when needed to keep water moving. The pool service comes out once a month to vacuum out leaves, put in salt, etc.

mwhip I get dry scalp in the winter. I alternate every other day with my regular shampoo and head and shoulders. It works.
