So E puked at 1pmn in the hallway at school. Then again just as we got home. He's been fine since. Assuming he's gone tonight, Would you send him to school tomorrow if school would accept him? No fever was had No. 2 pukes definitely calls for the 24 hour rule.

Guys. I was serious when I said I don't have time for Christmas this year. My head is nowhere close to being above water right now. I’m sorry. Sounds like Pete gets to do all the Christmas shopping this year.

That is bs tgrimes. I can’t believe they didn’t do all the work on M today. Also, I hope you don’t end up having to have surgery.

I’m trying to figure out a low cost gift for the girls’ teachers. H goes 5 days and has 2 teachers so I feel like I should spend more on them than S’s 4 teachers that she sees once a week. We don’t have a lot of money to spend this year so I’m thinking either candy or something homemade. One idea I had was to make bird seed ornaments to hang in their trees outside. The girls could help me with it too.

So X has a sings infection and bronchitis, as we suspected. But, there's good news.
He won't normally take any oral meds unless we can get them into a pouch. Augmentin tastes nasty so he won't go for that. The doctor offered another ABX that tastes better and we only need to give once a day instead of going straight to Rocephin injections.
So, fingers crossed that works out.

The lights have flickered 3x at work, I sure hope the power doesn’t go out. That does not sound delightful.

trtlcrzy I think that's a great idea. cagoldi I hope this abx does the trick and he takes it without a fight tgrimes fx no surgery needed. With regard to the dentist, my dentist pulls that shit and makes me come in for a bunch of appts even though I booked the amount of time he said. I would call the office and tell them you don't want to pay for the extra cost if the visit since yh took time off for that appt and the next and you scheduled an appt for a crown today

And I just did the bulk of the boys' presents. Some educational-ish stuff mixed in and of course the socks and underwear variety of gifts as well.
I'm sure I'll be tasked with shopping for DH's friends' kids but that's on hold until he talks to them. He still hasn't decided on what he wants yet either. I really don't want to be hunting down his gift at the last minute again this year!!

Another day, another timeout at school for wrestling.
She was also refusing to take a shower, so I put her in the tub with her shirt still on. It got my point across.
We'll see how tomorrow goes.

I literally bought my first Christmas presents yesterday. I need to get the ornament for my niece (I get her one every year for Xmas) so I can get it shipped to FL. Last year I made these super yummy chocolate covered pretzel sandwiches with peanut butter inside. I need to get ingredients so I can make them. They sound so good right now. I bought so much last night! Was green Monday a new thing? I pulled out my gift cards and Ebates and tried to see who had the most cash back at the stores I have money to spend. I got my sis some Nikes, j some fleece PJs from Macy's, myself some slippers and a sweater from Talbot's (I was shopping for my MIL and got distracted), Patagonia fleece blankets for the kids from my mom..only $20 and seem super cute gift idea Also if anyone is interested in Ebates let me send you a referral link!

I have no idea, I hadn’t heard of it before either. Speaking of Patagonia, H will need a new coat soon and I was thinking about that brand but I need to find a good deal. I joined some BST page on fb but I never see the size I’m looking for and it’s really never that much cheaper. I’m hoping for a good deal when they do end of season sales.

Also hi! We got a tree! Best $80 overpriced tree ever, j was literally beaming he was so excited. He claimed it was the perfect tree he has been dreaming of. I posted some pix to IG stories and melting my heart. And it smells fabulous. It was worth buying this house to have room for this tree 😍
Oh and I read back a few months on nextdoor and apparently someone's house was broken into on our street in September. So I just ordered simplisafe😕.

Patagonia is an awesome company. In addition to taking care of employees with family friendly benefits been like onsite childcare, they are big supporters of the environment. They also put their money where their mouth is and the CEO donated 100% of the tax dollars he saved with Trump's new tax plan ($10 million) to charity.

They will repair or replace anything that dies not hold up. I have sent at least two coats in for zipper repairs after multi-kid use and they were repaired no questions asked.

Hi guys, I got way behind today. I laughed about the friends thing because my H is always pushing for more friends, while I think we could stand to do a little spring cleaning 😉 I am a quality over quantity person, and he welcomes everyone with open arms. Opposites attract and all that.
I am almost done with all my Christmas shopping and shopping for H and Theo's b-days on Jan 1st. Wut wut.
Hope everyone who is sick/has sick kids feels better soon. We are just coming out of it and it was the worst. I feel your pain.

cagoldi I’m sorry. Let Pete or your mom help with stuff for Christmas. Like others others said, kids this age are pleased easily. You’re an amazing mom and you’re doing everything you can, hang in there.

snoopmommymom how about a panzanella with some GF bread? I love the roasted red pepper pasta recipe from Minimalist Baker's website and it's one of our family favorites. It works well over GF noodles or carrot noodles. I'm sure it would be great on zucchini noodles, too.

trtlcrzy what size do you need? Toddler sizes for super quick on the Patagonia BST page I'm on. I got N a high loft one on FB marketplace for $30 which is a steal. Occasionally they have some coupons for the real site and they have a worn wear section where they sell refurbished clothes, which is more reasonable. The good news is, it resells well bc people love it! Good luck!

I’m sorry cagoldi. I hope the stress eases up so you can enjoy the holiday. And I hope X feels better soon. tgrimes damn. I really hope you don’t need surgery. Sunny41 I would keep E home today. My school wouldn’t accept him since it would be the full 24 hours so I would follow that.

tallb I was wondering about ‘Green Monday’, too, I was on Eddie Bauer’s site (DH loves their henley shirts) and noticed it being promoted. Also, maybe it means I’m getting old but I really like some of the Talbots stuff sometimes 😂 My mom has shopped there for forever. There is still some frumpy mess but there’s lots of cute stuff too! I need to check them out, I saw they’re doing 40% off.

kim22 happy bday C!!! Omg how did that happen so fast?? mamabear I struggled with that when Landon was little. I was super lonely and none of my friends had kids. Once he started kinder is when I really found a good group of friends. It was hard to let go of some past friendships (and not that we’re not still friends, just not close) but I was so much happier once I stopped trying to force things with old friends, if that makes sense.
