I’m basically done shopping except teachers. N has 2 preschool teachers, 2 dance teachers, and then each kid has a main teacher at daycare plus 3-4 assistants.
I’m thinking gift cards for the main teachers and then bbw hand cream for everyone else. I’ll probably bring donuts into daycare for all the teachers too. Does that seem okay?

slenle Since both my kids are at the same daycare and the teachers rotate all the time, I'm ordering pizza for all the teachers, then I dont miss anyone. I did it last year and it was very appreciated

Also, I'm so pissed. MH took M to the dentist. He texts me a couple hours later to say the dentist is suggesting we bring her back next friday for the crown. He did the cavity first. Ummmm, what? No fucker. You get all that work done today. We argued over text for awhile and then he calls me to say he set up the appt for next week.
I'm not delighted. That's another $135. By the time we add everything up we might as well have saved up the money for put her under and avoided all the trauma.
And why wouldn't you do the most important one first? That was the whole point of him taking the day off since we have to keep an eye on her after the crown. I can send her back to school after a little filling. WTF?

I'm having heart palpitations for those who haven't shopped yet. Give me your credit card, I'll shop for you! +1. I wish a could be a professional gift shopper. Same! Party planner would work, too!

My head is nowhere close to being above water right now.

cagoldi, try not to stress about it too much. Your kids are all young and will appreciate anything. Amazon can help with that. As far as others over the years I'd cut down on the adults I by for because it's too overwhelming.

As far as others over the years I'd cut down on the adults I by for because it's too overwhelming. Thankfully, we don't do adult gifts anymore. So I just have my own kids, a few of their cousins, and a couple close friends. And my time is just disappearing. I have been starting work at five and finishing at 9 a lot nights. So, working mom things. It should get better. I just have to hang in there the next six weeks or so until work dies down.

I got the teachers/dc providers/etc done. I honestly don't even have a clue all the people who care for my kid at DC. I had Cass start telling me the names and was soon overwhelmed. Between her DC and school, plus Maddie's school, aftercare, and bus driver I counted 12 people. I ended up putting together a dozen little gift bags with Bath and Body Works small containers of shea butter lotion and shower gel plus some chocolate thrown in there. I know in general BaBW has the stigma of the little thought/didn't know what to get the person gifts but I'd appreciate that stuff and never treat myself to it. I figured if they don't like it they can give it to someone else.
I think most DCs would appreciate pizza/donuts/etc.

When the kids were in daycare I just put together a big basket of snacks they could keep in the room. Granola bars, oatmeal, individual bags of nuts/trail mix, mints, gum, instant Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate covered pretzels, ect.

Does anyone else’s cleaning lady get them a gift? My cleaning lady gets us something small every year. I usually do something small for her plus extra cash. I realized this morning that today was the last time she’d be here before Christmas. So I was scrambling at the last minute through random small gifts I’ve received over the years from various people (as a former HS Secretary I used to get a bunch a random little things). But then I was worried about what if the thing I gifted her was something she’d gave me a previous year. Lol. I think I’m safe but then there is that small doubt. Makes me think I should start putting a sticky note on things I might regift with who gave it to me because I have the worst memory!
But this year she got an adorable stuffed owl for S, a couple of dish towels with cute sayings on them, and a Betty Crocker brownie making kit complete with a cute glass baking dish. It feels so wrong to accept a gift from her. She’s the one who deserves all the gifts!

Also, S got her wrist splint today to try and help with positioning for her wrist/hand. So doesn’t love it 😬. But I’m sure she’ll adjust and get used to it. I hope...

But I know what you mean...My mom's longtime cleaning lady always gave us a gift. I know my mom didn't want Miss Jean to spend her (limited) $ on us, but what can you do? So she always just accepted graciously.

Guys. I was serious when I said I don't have time for Christmas this year. My head is nowhere close to being above water right now. Tell P and your mom and see how they can help. Not sure if the getting stuff is hard or thinking of ideas. I'm sure they can help either way, but don't take on all the mental load

My 6 year old niece just swiped my sister’s phone to “text aunt lisa” and accidentally called 911 when the phone went into SOS mode. 😂.
