Ugh. You mean that massive half opened-half unopened fort of amazon boxes closed behind the spare room door won’t wrap themselves!? Damnit. I hate wrapping with every ounce of my being. For many years, I’d pay my roommate cash to wrap them. It was perfect. Funny! I would have thought you’d enjoy wrapping. You’d think the A type in me would love it, but newp.

Morning! I slept in and MH went back to bed when I got up. C is losing his mind because SIL gifted him a shitty Christmas train a few years ago and the tracks keep breaking and the train won't work. It's by far the worst gift the kids have ever gotten. I hate it soooooo much. I’m pretty sure that the garbage collector is looking for exactly that train track! I think you're right! I hate it so so SO much.

There is a charity thing at my mall where you can pay people to wrap your gifts and the proceeds go to some charity thing (I'm not exactly certain what but if I did I'd let you know). You should check to see if they are doing something similar in your mall. I, on the other hand, love wrapping gifts. I don't get fancy with ribbons and bows though.

Morning! I'm at work, of course. The birthday party yesterday afternoon was fun. It was at my friend's in-law's apartment complex community room. They have a movie theater there so the kids all went in there with little buckets of popcorn and watched Incredibles 2 while the adults chatted. It was great. We ended up staying later than I wanted too because I can't stop myself from talking so I got to bed late and now I'm tired. I plan for a nice, long nap after work.

guster what did you think of the Grinch? Was it the OG or the Jim Carrey one? Also, burnt popcorn is awful.

trtlcrzy I've seen the charity-gift wrap thing at malls here, too. I'm sure it will surprise no one that I love gift-wrapping.( I try to coordinate papers to the tree/decor color scheme. Yes, I am #extra.) I miss not having ridiculous numbers of gifts to wrap this year, just stuff for the kids and MH.

Speaking of, my SIL is expecting in March. She has a shower planned for January, not sure if we will be invited or not.
We aren't doing adult gifts, just stuff for the kids, so I was going to buy something 'for the baby'. Would you do something from her registry or more of a personal gift (monogrammed something, etc)?

I was kind of thinking that route, but DH was like "registry" (probably b/c that's easy and he won't have to listen to me agonize, lol). Sidenote: Whether or not we are invited to the shower (I know the date) I will still send a gift and will choose from the registry. I wasn't invited to her bridal shower despite being IN the wedding. I think they assume that b/c we live at a distance we won't come, or they don't want us to feel pressured? IDK, it's weird.

Morning! M2 didn’t sleep great last night, so I’m a little tired. We have a 4 hour ride home in a bit. Hope the kids do well. vino my sweatshirts came in Friday and I love the cozy city one. Love. I went into the store yesterday to get another, but they only had two colors that I didn’t like in that specific style. The other sweatshirts didn’t have the soft lining of the cozy city. I did pick up one of the turtleneck sweatshirts and I love that one, too. Need more.

wedding What’s your insurance like? Can you find an immunologist yourself? I would go back to your pcp for labs and ask for a referral. If they don’t give you one, find your own. My ent told me to go to an infectious disease immunologist for H. The pedi did my referral and I got whoever was available. He’s one of their directors, but not an ID immunologist. My point is, see if You can get into one. If not, I was told a general immunologist should be able to pick up something and refer you, if need be. I’m sorry you’re still having fevers. It’s not normal and they never to figure out what is going on. I don’t need a referral which is good. So maybe I’ll start there. I had bloodwork when this started in June and then again in September when it persisted and did some other bloodwork to check for inflammation but it was all normal.

MH is going to the Texans game today. He left around 9:30 so he could ride with his dad. I’m cleaning and finishing up laundry.
We’ll head to my in laws’ house after nap.

Morning. Mh and I got into a little Tiff last night and he's acting like nothing happened🙄. We just went to Costco and apparently they sold out of trees in record time, whoops. I also texted my friend that had twins if she needed anything...5 salad bags and a $100 tenderloin 😂. So we got that for her and dropped it on her doorstep since I'm still sick and couldn't go in. Now lunch and have a work holiday party this afternoon an hour away..not excited about this at all.

Yeah, we had to go to several different places to find a tree--I heard there was a tree shortage this year! That + good economy = sold out, I guess. Hope you can find one! also, I'm laughing at the bagged salad requests...I was standing in front of the (restocked) salad section at Target and a nearby employee asked if I needed help. I was like, "I don't think so...I'm just kind of amazed to see lettuce again!" I bought several, too. He probably thought I was crazy but was nice enough to play along.

Mh let me sleep in again this am so I let him go back to sleep when I got up. E finished his handwriting homework for the year so I feel accomplished, especially since I missed the last 2 weeks. We focus more on starting to read at home so I don't feel too guilty.

We are getting a tree today. Michigan is one of the top Christmas tree growing states so I'm hoping we won't have too much of a problem!

Also not sure if I mentioned it but MH found out in friday he got a promotion into a newly vacant position in his office. We both joked that meeting me was the best thing that happened to his career. He was content in his little GS6 job for life but ever since I got my job in St Louis 8yrs ago job opportunities have just fallen into his lap.
