We have our first snow today! I'm hoping to leave work early because we are having C's friend birthday party at 5:30. No classmates, just his neighborhood friends and our friends who have kids that he is now friends with. It should be fun, but I was expecting to get at least a couple no's, and everyone RSVPed yes. I plan to eat and drink with the adults while the kids terrorize the house.

Morning! I hope C’s party tonight is a success wineallthetime! Nothing big on our agenda today; B had a great night and is still asleep. I woke him up at 3 to dose him with meds and he was so quiet — no snoring! The dr said that snoring for another week or two would be normal as everything heals, so I was pleasantly surprised. BedBathandBeyond is doing 25% for military/vets this weekend so I’m going to take advantage and get my new vacuum.

Morning! First snow here too. We are going into the city today, so I hope it stops by this afternoon and the roads are ok. Going to check on my mom's house and meet up with an old friend. The kids are clammoring for snow pants, and it's day 2 of solo duty, so I'd better get moving. No hot cup off coffee waiting to help me brave the elements, since H is gone. It's ok, I'll be fine.

flamingo Check Amazon before you buy. Yesterday I saw someone on GD said they had Shark vacuums on discount. Not sure how much. I think they are dropping prices for countdown to Black Friday.

Morning! I really struggled over whether to come to the office or work from home, and I decided it would be worth the hassle to drive in and be more productive. My manager is great but he's a guy, so he's out sick quite a bit. We've now got 6 squads between the 2 of us, so I feel like I have no choice but to be in when he's out. Plus there are just so many follow-ups to do after our meetings in Nashville.
Anyhow I'm bummed because there are only 2 Saturdays left for fall soccer and OF COURSE it's going to rain this evening. Chase has missed more sessions than he's had and I was really hoping he'd get to go once or twice more before it's over. It's not looking good.

Good morning. Have a great party wineallthetime! And yay for no snoring flamingo! I have to leave mid morning to go to my first counseling appointment. I am dreading it. Aside from that, normal day. Hoping they let us out a little early today.

wineallthetime, ya for party day! Hope everything goes smoothly. I was shocked when I looked out the window today and saw a dusting of snow on the ground. We don't even get much snow in the mountains in WA this early. Just don't snow next Friday night/early SAT morning and I'll be happy Wisconsin. You betcha. Dontcha know. Time for some hot dish.

Morning! No snow here. I am a little sad about that. I think I am taking Monday off the sleep and spend the day with MH since he has the holiday.
I need to get E new shoes. I am not a fan of the colors Plae has right now. Well E looked with me online at their website and liked a pair of their pink shoes. They don't have them in his size. I think I am going to take him to Journey's kids store this weekend. I really wish we could get him gold shoes again but they were a special run. I'm not sure whether or not to discourage the desire for pink shoes. I don't mind them but with his hair (which he refuses to cut) he already gets called a girl a lot. Most of the time it doesn't bother him but some times it does. And I feel like the the shoe color may cause bullying type comments. On top of that I am not ready to deal with laces.

Sunny41, I'm team no laces forever. If you do get shoes with laces I'd opt for cheaper ones. Maddie was obsessed with laces. I acquiesced and got her some shoes with laces. She was super determine to learn how to tie, did so, and now realizes that tying shoes sucks and slip-ons rock and opts for her slip-ons 90% of the time. I think I would just talk to him about the pink dilemma. Explain that a lot of people associate pink with girls and even though that's not true and boys can wear pink too, that more people might think he's a girl. Put the ball in his court and let him decide.

Ooh, I will, thanks! BBB has them and Dyson on sale, too. Speaking of, I am already getting Black Friday and PRE Black Friday mailers, emails, etc. Lord.

Morning. The kids and my SIL are still sleeping and MH went to work/class, and I’m enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee in front of the fire. J’s party last night was great! Good food and great company . She slowly opened her gifts and took time to play with them before going to the next, it was adorable but B had ants in his pants about it cause that’s not how he operates. B is off to school this morning and I’ve got to check my lists for B’s party tomorrow to get things ready.

Sunny41 We stick with velcro right now. B has one pair with laces (boat shoes) and that's fine, but for everyday sneakers/going to school, IMO velcro is better until they can handle tying themselves. I've tried to teach B and he wants to learn but just doesn't have the dexterity yet.

Hello from work. My arm is still swollen. I had mh draw a circle around it to see if it got worse over night. It did go slightly past the circle, but not enough to warrant doing anything about it. It has gone down a bit, but is still bothersome.
Other than that. I've got nothing. The temp dropped significantly and I'm not a fan. It is also rainy. Mh took the day off to go stand in line for some poster gallery show. He's an idiot and I don't get the standing in line stuff, but whatever, if he wants to waste an entire day then so be it.

Morning time. I finally updated my phone to the replacement sent (my battery was failing but then wasn't so bad). I was a bit anxious about doing a factory reset before turning on the new phone, as the directions said, so I went to Verizon and he transferred my pictures for me (after I scrambled all week to do my second a day video for N's first year and backup everything to Shutterfly).
We are booking movers for the day before Thanksgiving. Figure that is appropriate since we have major life changes on turkey day, and gives us a long weekend to get settled.

+whatever to sticking to velcro/slip ons for now. I do good to get her to put her own damn shoes on herself, DNW to have to tie them as well, just something else to make me run behind in the AM.

I have a hair appointment this afternoon, so I'm leaving work at 1:30. My boss told me not to worry about using PTO for leaving early, but I kind of feel bad since I've been missing so much work recently.
My next appointment is already scheduled for 4 weeks from tomorrow. I think I'll just have my stylist put some low lights in, trim it up and call it good, then do more in December. But I also realize I don't look good with darker hair, so I'm kind of going back and forth.

LO is a fan of slip on shoes. But we avoid laced ones as much as possible. Do not want to tie them every 5 seconds.

I'm so tired. I wish I could kick this cold! My parents have been buying $100 home printers over and over again instead of spending money on one meant for the volume we do. We've gone through 4 since march! I finally stopped asking and just went and bought a big one. I trouble shot all night and this morning and got everything working well. I love it! It's so fast! I can't scan 20 pages in seconds instead of minutes..
