Well I now know how tall j is due to an unplanned ped visit.. seemed to be 46" with shoes on. His school called bc a teacher bumped a bookshelf and a truck rolled off of the top it and landed on J's face...during nap time 🤨. A corner hit near his eye and punctured the skin. Thankfully it didn't hit his eye and the doctor didn't think x-rays were needed in case he fractured his bone. The assistant that bumped the shelf feels awful (I love her), just a crappy accident. The trucks were already moved by the time I got there for pickup. Now Netflix is on and waiting for pizza. Poor kid. I feel like he has such bad luck with crazy accidents. I hope he heals quickly.

So we adulted this afternoon and went to BBB to test vacuums. We got a Shark and between the sale they’re running and the Veterans Day discount got a great price on it. DH assembled it and is currently vacuuming the house and periodically coming to show me (in amazement) how much it’s picking up. I’m hooked! Which model did you get? www.amazon.com/Rotator-Lift-Away-Anti-Allergy-NV752-Bordeaux/dp/B00X7R1FZ2

Thanks - I know, he has had some bad luck lately. I am close with the admin and teachers and I know it's just bad luck. I am sure they are relieved I'm not some grouchy parent that will raise hell. Im so grateful it didn't hit him IN the eye or on the temple or something.

Wow, I guess N really had hit a growth spurt. At her kindergarten screening today she measured 45in and 48lbs! She used to be such a shortie. I have noticed she’s one of the biggest in her class this year Kinder screening already? When does she start? Not until next September. I’m confused by it too because they say it’s for kids 3-5 but is required before entering kindergarten. (You have to be 5 here for kindergarten so not sure why they start at 3) and I don’t know how any newly 3 year would “pass” with some of the questions they asked. They did vision and hearing test and then things like building towers, rhyming, drawing, filling in the blank on sentences that were said, hopping on one foot etc.

C did one at 3 to check his speech which then prompted further testing and an IEP. The questions and measures are different depending on the age.
