Morning. Woke up with a headache so hoping the ibuprofen and coffee help. WFH today and n has kindergarten screening this afternoon.
We’re supposed to go to the gopher football game tomorrow and the high is going to be 25. I hate being cold so I’m wishing I didn’t agree to this.

Morning! It’s only 57 degrees here and I’m FREEZING!!! I just did a quick weights workout since I don’t have bbm and I need to get moving and go to the gym. This week has been awful, to say the least, and I’m so happy it’s Friday. I think when ry’s at school I’m going to cuddle on the couch with C and watch Christmas movies because it will make me happy.
Can anyone else not believe thanksgiving is in two weeks???

Cadence has tie high tops. The sides have zippers, so really they slip on and off.

Can anyone else not believe thanksgiving is in two weeks??? No, I cannot. November is a crazy month for us, and it's flying by. We are leaving next Friday for a wedding in FL, staying with my parents a few days, then heading back to SC to do T'giving with my ILs. I feel like when we get back the following Saturday it's going to be straight into Christmas. So this is basically my last week of sanity until December 26.

Oh, i would very much like to stick with velcro or slip on but not sure what style he will set his little mind upon. And at size 1.5/2 there are limited boy options with velcro

wedding i just might have to get something like that. I think he is best in a little high top because he is skinny but tall so pants are always short. That would work if we got a taller shoe

I guess I’m the odd man out because H has had 2 different pairs of tennis shoes that tie. I just do a double knot and they stay all day without a problem. This time I bought her adidas shoes that have elastic laces. I do like them a lot.

Morning! It’s 19 degrees here and the snow from yesterday is blowing around a bit. We slept a little late this morning so it was a scramble to get everyone ready and out the door. We did it though. I am going to fight the dryer in a couple of minutes, hopefully I can put it together correctly this time so it works without an issue.

Nike has some as well, but the Velcro has worn out for him too early in the past.

I was going to suggest Nike too tallb Sunny41. B has had three pairs over the last couple years and they’ve held up incredibly well. He’s in a 1 now and I’ve seen Velcro in larger sizes. I buy his at DSW or the base Exchange because they’re typically $10-20 cheaper than Dillard’s (shhh, don’t tell them I’m cheating on them

So a couple weeks back I filled out a questionnaire to join the appraisal district board here. It is basically normal people who hear the cases of other people when they have issue with the appraised values of their home. I'm interested in real estate and I found the idea of it interesting, so I filled it out and sent it in. Not thinking anything of it I forgot about it. They called me yesterday for an interview. It is a seasonal type position, a training session and a few days here and there throughout the hearing season and shouldn't really effect my job here. I just broached the topic with one of the partners and he said he thought it was a good idea. At the very least, go to the interview and get more information. He did suggest talking to the other 2 partners who I work directly under to make sure they were also ok with it. I emailed it to them. Once I get their ok, I'll call them to set up the interview.

They had a good laugh at DC over Cass' hair. She's channeling Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber.

Hi!
Trying to focus on work but my mind is on the 947 things I need to get at Costco for the birthday party on Sunday.
Dude’s surgery is next Wednesday and Pete is off for a few days next week, so I think we can move some things around and get the playroom setup.

I love those reusable non-tie shoe "laces". The boys - especially Chase - have such chubby feet that velcro doesn't always work out so well. We had to get him special sneakers for soccer and even with the wider width, the velcro barely makes it far enough across to keep them closed. Not that they'd fall off, given how wedged in his poor (not to little) little feet are.

They offer slim sizes, which have been a game-changer for B, since he needs the length from the larger size but his waist is still small.

Sunny41, I got C some skechers with Velcro in a 1.5. Maybe check there. Also we have the opposite issue with pants, too long and not wide enough. My gram got C some slim fit jeans for his Bday and I had to stifle laughter. He's a tank.

We got a bunch of slim last year they are sinched and almost short. He is 46 tall and only 40#. If you didn't know he was constantly eating you might think he was a picky eater
