lfig that’s good to hear. I am feeling ... not hopeful. They’re attacking gyms, bars and schools. Nothing changes. They will keep slaughtering us until there’s a significant change politically. I’m pissed. The scumbag in office is too busy slandering the press and fear mongering immigrants to actually talk about real issues. The ones staring us right in the face. The ones killing our children. I’m donating today. I’m calling my Reps and reminding them to fight for this. I’ll keep fighting but I don’t see any significant change until we change things in 2020. If it can happen outside LA, it can happen outside NYC.

wedding - That reminds me of the time a drunk driver rear ended my Mom at a stop light. He legit told the police it was her fault for not going quickly enough. Um, no? Even if she HADN'T gone, you don't get to push her. That lady sounds insane. I kind of love it, inthekitty. GL flamingo. I hope the time passes quickly. I got a 12:45 appointment to see my doctor. And my manager - who I just spent the last few days with - realized last night that he has HFM. If I end up with that too, he'd better get bronchitis. Fair's fair.

Morning Ladies! I am sitting outside Target with a sleeping baby and one boob that is about to explode. My H left for NY early this AM, so I was in charge of getting the kids out the door solo. My oldest missed his bus, so I made his ass ride his bike. I actually got everyone else dressed, fed a balanced breakfast, and out the door and we were only 5 minutes late to school. Just forgot to feed the baby, whoops.
Need Miss Bea to get up so I can pick up some gifts for a b-day party and baby shower this weekend and browse the end caps for things I don't need.

one of my mom group friends that I am not super close to posted a picture of her D13 twins going hunting for the first time with their new step-dad. Then she posted a picture of his results. lots of people hunt here hunt here. I am definitely not from the area and not used to those kinds of photos. I also don't know about taking 2 5yr olds alone on a day hunt. I guess there is just one more person I will be hiding on FB I hate hunting season on FB. Happy Birthday J! vino!! Oh no wedding! What a bitch! Glad you are all ok wineallthetime, S has been saying mean things lately, I always turn it around on him. For instance, this morning MH went in to get him first thing and he screamed to him that he didn't want him, he only wanted me. I asked him how it would feel if he came in to me and I told him I didn't want him, I only wanted B. I do it with his friends too, sometimes he will tell someone he doesn't want to play with them and they will come up crying (not a random kid, but our little friend group we meet at the park most weekends), I'll ask him how he would feel if Friend A said that to him. It usually helps him to understand that his words make others feel bad OMG Maggie does this to DH all the time, and it really hurts his feelings. I'm stealing this idea. Also, vino happy birthday to sweet J! |

I finally finished our packet for the neurodevelopmental pedi, so now we wait.
X is off at therapy and it’s still anyone’s guess whether or not the Director will actually show up to determine if speech and more OT is warranted.
I’m starting to feel pretty uncomfortable with any suggestion of looking into ABA, so I’m going to start seeing what alternatives might exist.

Don't like ABA or don't think it is the right answer for X? Both, I think? If he’s as high-functioning as we all seem to think, then it’s probably a little extreme. And I’m concerned by some reports from autistic adults who went through ABA that have been talking about how negative that experience was. IDK. I’ll ask the pedi about it, but at the moment I have pretty serious reservations. |

Other than store bought, of course. Any kind of triffle travels pretty well. The ones that I get asked for most are super easy. The first one is a yellow cake lightly soaked in orange juice, layered with fresh whipped cream, and clementines (you could make it super easy and you do canned mandarin oranges and Cool Whip) I can find the recipe if you want. The other is a version of death by chocolate. Devils food cake, layered with chocolate pudding and Cool Whip. I add chocolate curls to the top to make it look fancy? Especially when it’s in a glass bowl to see the layers. |

wineallthetime brownies, cupcakes, cake/pies all travel really well and you can make them as fancy as you like! You can always brings some decorations (berries, icing sugar and a stencil for example) and add the finishing touch on site.
