I woke up wondering why I set my alarm because it's Saturday. Then I remembered it's only Friday...

We bought a new refrigerator that's being installed today. Of course our fridge magically started working again...

I’m at work. Completely frustrated, apparently a lot of things that are normally my responsibility have been fast forwarded during my vacation and things are not as I would do them or how I want them. Plus they’ve given me a shit ton of work, but most of the info I need from them is incomplete, so annoying!!!

It's been the longest week ever. Our summer work party is today. It goes until almost the end of the day and I don't know if our new hospital commander is behind it, but we're supposed to return to work when it's over for less than an hr. Screw that. People at my office mysteriously disappear for hours at a time and I'm always there. This is the one time a year we get a chance to leave early and I plan to.
We're driving to my parents tonight.

Morning!
We just got home from taking my friend and her little girl to the airport, and stopped for donuts on the way back (natch).
I'm planning a Target trip this morning to get some training underwear for C, and then after nap we're meeting some friends at the park. The weather is so nice here this week, so I'm trying to enjoy this as much as we can since temps are going back up in another couple days.
I don't know about y'all but I'm ready for fall and football.

Morning, Happy Friday.
J is on the brink of either getting sick or going the other way and being completely fine, I dropped her off but I fully expect to get a call. B slipped on a train track they were playing with at daycare, fell right on his face. Poof
Excuse us while we board the Hot Mess express 👎🏻

Anyone else see this? Mom shamed for daughter's dog-walking What do y'all think? I guess it depends on the neighborhood and kid, but darn, if the police and CPS show up b/c I let my 8 y.o. walk the dog on our street, I'm going to have a few choice words.

I have no knowledge of this neighbourhood, but in my book most 8yo should be perfectly capable of walking the dog for a block, given the area is safe.

I could see this happening in our neighborhood. One woman gets called on repeatedly for the most random shit. She's always posting on Nextdoor about it. Someone called and complained that she was running a business out of her home...she isn't, she refurbishes furniture that is then taken to Port Aransas for the charities providing furniture to those effected by hurricanes. We all know that everything she is doing is donation based and not an actual money making business, but damn if someone doens't keep calling on her. They even complained about furniture in her driveway...it was being picked up to be taken, like, get a grip!

I mean, as long as it's not a retail store with people parking in my driveway or something, I really don't care if my neighbor works from home, does something in their garage, etc. And I am pretty picky about stuff like that, lol.

I got up early with the boys so I went back to sleep for an hour once A got up. We're spending all the money today.. utility sink for the laundry room, everything to hook up the washer and dryer, ceiling fan for our room, bathroom vanity tops, and stuff to finish the bunny hutch.

I think it is unless you have the proper zoning/permits. I'm sure this varies by city though.

Happy Friday indeed! Poor B vino, I hope he isn't in too much pain! Some people just need to mind their own damn business, if it's a safe neighborhood, granted, things can change by one crazy person driving by, but let kids be kids. Quit calling the cops for every damn thing. Social media is going to be the fall of civilization because people can't just talk to someone and find out what's going on. I'm fucking tired...our smoke detectors all started beeping at 4am, for no reason. It scared Evie, so she came into our bed, and I never fell back to sleep. I wanted to get up and work out, but I couldn't get away from her. We are going to the Royals game tonight, my company has a suite, so free food and booze. H is going, but he'll likely be in the A/C the entire time, or until he has enough beer that he just doesn't give a shit.

My only issue would be if it was a large dog that if a squirrel or cat darted by it, she may get hurt trying to hold it. But that dog is the size of a shoe box..

So I guess now they want to start OT for sensory integration with X. Not sure how I feel about this but I suppose I'll do their questionnaire and eval and go from there.
His well check yesterday was pretty uneventful. He's still huge and healthy overall with great iron levels, despite eating nothing. This is one of those times where I roll my eyes at my former self for ever wondering why toddler formula was a thing.
