Yes, lfig. Thank you, that was a very good way of explaining it. X is known to fall out of nowhere. Not stumble or trip, just go sailing down for seemingly no reason. Fall out of chairs, walk into walls. And it's not seldom, we're talking 2-3 times a day, easily. So the more I'm reading about it the more this is making sense for him. Poor guy.

Gosh cagoldi sorry for more to deal with. Sounds like you have some smart therapists to help navigate it.

Have any of you tried or heard of a brush on sunscreen? There was a mom at Disneyland that put this sunscreen on her kid and it was no fuss or fighting and it didn’t have the spray all over everything. The only downside that I can see is it’s only spf 45. But I haven’t done too much research.

@chrisy can’t find the article, but I’ve read somewhere that the difference between spf 30 & spf 50 is small, you just need to apply it more often...

Guess I'm officially old...it's 8:45 and I've been in bed for a half hour, with my pjs on, face moisturized, and teeth brushed. Just have to let the dog out at 10 one last time and I can crash. Minus the dog, this is me every night (but usually by 8) +1. I put L and A to bed and then I'm usually in bed before MH puts C down!

I can’t remember if she used a brush on kind but she did recommend a mousse formula that her kids loved and was super easy to apply. Let me see if I can find the post. ETA: sunscreen - supergoop.com/products/super-power-sunscreen-mousse?sscid=81k2_k96fmI didn’t see a brush-on kind when I went back and read. Sorry :/

cagoldi Glad you have some answers that will get y'all pointed in the right direction. It's never fun to hear something is "wrong" but at least now you can make a plan for moving forward.

chrisy01 I think 45 is plenty spf, I'd be more worried that it wouldn't stay put or get solid coverage. I think that's for women to dust over their makeup on their if they are going to be sitting outside having a cocktail..

cagoldi any chance the therapy can be done at daycare to save you some running around? I know T’s school has a speech therapist come in and pull kids to the office for speech. It’s an outside service that parents pay for, not like a thing public school would have.

My sister was a traveling SLP and did this, and her practice also had OTs that did the same thing (not sure what specifically X will need). Hopefully that will be an option!

Our states EI program preferred it be done in the home or an office, but would also do it at day care if they couldn’t work it out otherwise. Then once S aged out of EI, she became the school districts responsibility and they provided all services at the day care.

My friend who’s kid is in EI for many things has 2 different therapists come to day care weekly. Once every so often they do one at her house so she can learn/ see progress etc. he’s 2.5 and has been receiving these services since he was an infant I hope you can do the same cagoldi so you don’t have to add something else to your packed schedule
