doodlemommy, that is such a brilliant 2 tier cake! BTW keep a pot of super pearl luster dust. You can brush it / mix it onto any color to add that extra shimmer, that way you don't have to specifically just buy a particular colour shimmer.

Hey  S was one on the 13th! We didn't do a cake smash or themed party, so no cute party pics. My brain isn't working well at all anymore, so I haven't been keeping up here, although I do hope you all (and all the babes!) are doing well!!!  |

Sleep is still not good, but we have started sleep training. I'm hoping that between weaning him and the sleep training, it'll be drastically improved very soon! mommabakes So nice to see you here!! Happened to pop on and saw I was tagged here! Sorry for going AWOL. My new job keeps me a lot busier and I haven't been able to keep up! Hope everyone and their babies are doing well. DS2 turned 1 on October 7th, and we had a little party at home on the 14th to celebrate. DH and I had our parents and siblings over and got the local grocery store to cater it and make the cake. We did some Sesame Street Elmo/1st birthday decorations since DS2 loves Elmo and his "happy dance". DS2 is crawling and furniture cruising like a champ (which is new to us because DS1 never crawled!) He loves fruits and veggies (especially broccoli and cauliflower) but didn't want anything to do with his birthday cake. Has at least 10 teeth but I've lost count at this point and he probably has more. Still nursing a couple times a day and lots of times at night, which means still not sleeping (DS1 didn't STTN until like 2.5 years old so I don't have high hopes.) He has a couple words, like "hi", "mama", "dada", and "that" and has started saying "hi dada" as of last week. He is still a giant baby, almost 27 lbs at his 1 year checkup. 30.5" and a 50 cm head.  |
