cythe, Love this set up. It's missing the birthday girl and her cake.  Also what books are those? I am intrigued by the spine. Thanks! They are actually totally fake books, they open and you can put stuff inside them |

Here is our birthday boy having his first piece of cake! PDQ.
He didn’t really like eating the cake...oh well! But he did enjoy smooshing it around with his fingers...until he held his hands up (which is his - “all done, get me out of this high chair!” - signal). Probably better that he’s not into sweets yet! Can’t believe he’s already 1.

DD1 just got taken back for her tonsillectomy. We’ve been up since 4am. They are sure if they’ll have to keep her overnight or not. I’m a little pissed because the last two people I talked to on the phone told me “No” to overnight and the nurse this morning acted like that was the plan all along. I did not pack for overnight and only brought my portable battery pump. If we do end up staying I may try asking for a pump. I’m also starving...
Full circle - we were here almost exactly a year ago when DD2 was admitted for menegitis. I love the doctors and nurses here. But I’m really hoping we aren’t staying here 24 hours.

danvers Sending get well wishes to your DD1! I hope they can discharge you today - I bet it’s hard being cooped up at the hospital, and everyone would probably be more comfortable at home. I am sure the doctors know best though, and if she has to stay - there is probably a good reason for it. How is your DD2 doing? Was it just teething that caused the fever you think?

DS’s (rescheduled) Party was today and it was a blast! He did not smash his cake, just dipped his fingers in the icing and ate it. He did enjoy the piece we gave him to eat though. Here is the cake I made, I think it turned out well! It was a where the wild things are theme PDQ  |
