I think daily about getting up, walking out of my office, and never coming back. If I didn't need the money, I would. I try to think of different things I could do, that I would enjoy more, that would make me a similar paycheck....I need more profitable skills.

I really hate when A is home during the week now that I work from home.. He lays around all morning, makes 0 effort to help me get the kids out the door and then just puts around the house doing crap instead of actually getting stuff done. Or stands by my desk asking what I'm doing and when I'll be done.. I run errands all week like a mad person, taking care of everyone else's shit but if I ask him to get something he makes a face and acts like it's such a huge inconvenience to him.

I’ve pretty much given up on bedtime right now. N has become a complete nightmare at night and I just don’t have the energy to deal with it. He sleeps in so it isn’t like he doesn’t get enough sleep. But he now falls asleep anywhere between 10:30-midnight. DH doesn’t try help at all, we aren’t living in our own home and it’s summer...

I had a brief delusion a few weeks ago about wanting a second kid. Everyone is having kids at work so its in the air. I had been having dreams about it and brought it up to DH and he was like "yeah, no". In truth, the only real reason I want a second is to prove I can do better with the baby stage a second time. Which is a horrible horrible reason. And I love our family of three and now that C is so independent it's been great. I am just such a perfectionist that it's killing me that I feel like I failed if that makes sense.

A mom from my kid's school texted me to see if my kid was in her kid's class again this year. I checked the website with my fingers crossed and my breath held. They are in different classes, and my kid is disappointed, but I am so relieved! This kid is a hurricane and brought out all my kid's worst qualities. Plus, she can be a bit relentless about trying to get them together
I feel bad about how happy I am about this, but I really hope both our kids find a new best friend.

My SIL profile pic is her with her 9mo who is sipping a bottle of juice. I’m judging this so hard.

dapostrophe Dh and I both sighed a sigh of relief when we found out that one of the kids in ds’ class is transferring to another class. The boy is really in your face and his mom is way to pushy.

I have another one: My H has to take "Empathy and Vulnerability" training for work. All the managers are required to take it to become better communicators. I am not going to lie that I am looking forward to seeing the results of this at home 😉

I’m currently counting down the minutes until it’s an “appropriate time” to start drinking.

Okay, tiny background story. Driving is a bit different over here, we drive a stick, you have to take between 40-60 (€45 each...) lessons and two exams. I’ve had my license for over 7 years, I haven’t driven a car in 5 years, because im terrified something would happen to the kids because of me.

I had a bowl of apples out on our kitchen table when I sold the townhouse. I read somewhere it was good luck. The house sold very quickly, so I assumed it something had to do with the apples (I'm not typically superstitious.) When we moved here and we still hadn't closed on the townhouse, I carried one with me to the new house. I still have it. It's now rotted and in a baggie and then in a Tupperware container, but I won't get rid of it until we close on the townhouse bc I feel like it would be bad luck to throw it out. MH saw it the other day and made no mention of it, so I questioned him. He told me he thought it was something that I must be saving for baking like when I tell him not to throw the bananas because they're brown/black.

I love the way H’s head smells. It’s not a baby smell but i love it. I’m constantly sniffing his head.
