I'm currently waiting for DH to get out of the shower so we can go get dinner. He had ball tonight and the IL's came to watch so N went home with them and is staying the night.

Where are you that you're getting dinner this late?! If it was 9:00 pm and I was waiting on DH and still hadn't eaten...I'd be saying, fuck it and eating a pepperoni pizza hot pocket in my PJs.

Here's our playset. We got it practically free off of Craigslist but mh ended up replacing almost the whole bottom part. Still cost like $300 total in the end. So worth looking on Craigslist for one if you have the time to fix it.

So ive hamd expressed to relieve pain. My boob is the size of a cantelope.. do I wear a bra to bed to keep pressure? I remember that being said before but I might be remembering wrong.
Jack hit my leg and called me a bad mommy when I told him the milk is all gone today when I got home. 🙁 He normally nurses right when we get home.

Guys, I just spent two minutes looking for the weekend post. Glad your scan went well, kim22! Not looking forward to weaning, but looking forward to weaning. You know? I've been pregnant and/or nursing for the past four years. S is using my garlic press as a phone. She's talking to superman. I like your tat ideas so far, cagoldi. Amazon never shows a profit by design. Hope you feel better soon, flamingo! I'd love to get a playground set, but I don't know how long we're going to be here. All this talk of absentee membership makes me feel guilty. AFM: the job possibility I mentioned several months ago is getting some traction. I hope to have an offer sheet within the month. The boys finished the year, and J is officially a senior. He's so excited he can barely contain himself. I'm looking at photographers for senior pics this summer. Going through our photos to get some for his party in a year. I'm not ready for this! A friend took pics of me and B this week after my employer's commencement. Loved these two. PDQ. After I stopped hand expressing it just kept flowing.. but the plus side is Jack only asked to nurse to bed once and happily took his water when I turned him down. we have turned a corner! He's currently snoring, no tears!

lfig I would put down the recycled tires bits under any play place, comfy if the kid falls and no slivers or shoes full of sand to clean, super low maintenance. Agreed (it's what we have under our fake lawn) but make sure it's not the type associated as being a carcinogen. I can't remember what type of crumb rubber we have, but we were scared after a Dateline special linking the use in fake turf field with cancer of high school kids. My husband is asleep but I can ask him tomorrow what the kind was if he remembers. ETA: he remembers it as crumb rubber is bad and the good product was called something like envira-fill.

mwhip my parents just got a new swing similar to that but a platform swing. Several kids can sit, lay, or stand on it at once. So much fun.

Our swingset was free to us and not the most sturdy/stable. I have climbed up into the play house but don't feel comfortable up there, the whole thing creaks when I swing, etc. I'm hoping DH can beef it up a bit. snoopmommymom yours looks really awesome!

Jealous of all the playsets! I really want to get something for our backyard. Tim wants a big trampoline but I'm not sure.
Do you guys let your littles play outside by themselves yet? Our yard is fenced, and I'd like to give her that freedom, but I haven't yet.

mskatiep I don't let E outside in the fenced in backyard by herself yet. She's a damn klutz so I want to be with her to make sure she doesn't cause bodily harm.

My parents were so super cute and nervous at the airport. Unfortunately, their flight was delayed and there was some difficulty getting a flight into Amsterdam in time to make their ship. But it got worked out.
I'm so proud of my mom, she is almost one year sober and my dad has never been willing to travel internationally with her cause she gets so crazy drunk. Hopefully this trip goes well and they spend the rest of their lives spending all their money seeing the world!

Well, the Star chart won't work. I tried one tonight and told Dude he could have a Swedish fish tomorrow if he cooperates for bedtime.
Atticus: I don't want to eat a fish! Me: No, honey, not an animal fish. A treat fish. Those red ones we have on movie night. Atticus: (shrugs) I don't want a treat.
Crap.

I'm super jealous of you play sets, have of one of those wouldn't even fit into our garden. I let ds play outside alone and would let him do so even more happily if our garden didn't have tiles but gras. I check in frequently.

csho, normally we have a BBQ with the ball team at the field after their games. Rain started right near the end of the game so we went out just the two of us instead. Late night meals are normal for us unfortunately, so I guess my body is used to it?

cagoldi don't give up on bribing--i mean a reward system yet. You just need to find the currency that works for him. Maybe watching music videos of his favorite drummers?

mskatiep, that's great about your mom. I hope your parents have a great trip. I let Cass out back alone if I'm doing something downstairs and can check on her frequently. She's usually always with Maddie. In our neighborhood a few parents let their 5-6 year-olds go rogue. I think it's young for not at least frequently checking in/watching from the front porch (we have a park right across the street, it's very safe, tons of kids). It's definitely kid friendly, but I'd probably be more comfortable with my own at 7 or 8 (which is the minimum age most of them are that are out on their own).

LO has yet to fill the jar however he is really close. We even FaceTime dh while we are out here to put in the Pom Poms he earned. We also remove Pom Poms for bad behavior. Which he gets so sad for.

Our yard is fenced, and I'd like to give her that freedom, but I haven't yet. We do. Even just Jack. But I check on them religiously. Every 4 minutes or so. Or if my dad or A is outside they check on them too. If the weather is right I leave the doors open so I can hear them. I want a trampoline too. A thinks they're to young. Maybe next summer. It's not like when I was little and it was extra and my parents didn't get it. I think it's standard now. The net comes with it.

mskatiep we are only fenced on three sides but once we are fully fenced I feel comfortable letting him go outside without me. As long as the windows are open and I can hear him, I think it would be fine.

cagoldi the star chart didn't work for us either. He either didn't care about the rewards or he would try to put stars on himself and throw epic tantrums when he didn't earn one.

I stole the idea from ggandlee. It really does work most of the time though. At first we gave a Pom Pom for everything so she could fill up the jar quickly. Once she got to pick out her present at the Disney store she picked up the process. Now we can threaten to take away a Pom Pom too.
