redbears I love JM. And there's a huge FB group of women who check in together on their workouts. Which workout are you doing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Right now, I'm doing Ripped in 30. I also really like No More Trouble Zones, but it's long.

I love RI30 & I can't find my DVD!! I feel the same about trouble zones. When I'm short on time I do circuits 1, 3 & 4. Jillian developed a rotation a while back that includes just those circuits & calls it "quick trouble zones".

I got one of her newer videos recently and it was just so over-produced, I couldn't get into it. I also really really like 6 week 6 pack. Its annoying because you used to be able to get a lot of these on Youtube for free, but not anymore.

redbears I used to do 6W6P & Shred it with weights on YouTube all the time! I'm glad she won the lawsuit (the company that runs the Chanel didn't pay her for the content!) but it's no longer free!! I did her body shred program, it was boot legged on Dailymotion last year. It was really freaking hard! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had a good day (so far). I had to add extra food to dinner to get to a reasonable number of calories, so I mixed half an avocado (chopped) with chopped tomato for a salad. I'm going to take a walk later to get a break from the elliptical and because it is a nice night. I had a nonscale victory today. I was at a meeting all day and went to lunch with some friends. I ordered off the menu, made some substitutions and avoided adding extra sides to an already big enough meal. I thought I'd feel deprived watching them have things I didn't allow myself, but I was satisfied and felt good about my choices later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This is the best. We had a coworker's birthday lunch today and went to a local place known for their cheeseburgers. I love them, but I got a grilled chicken salad and I was happy with it and didn't feel left out

I gave in to the Krispy Kreme temptation at work today. It's only 8pts but I feel guilty.

I did OK yesterday. H and I went out to dinner and to see some live music in Cambridge. I had 1 dirty martini and 2 vodka/sodas. For dinner I had a chicken Caesar salad and some bread. Then when we got home there was leftover pizza from the babysitter and, without thinking (i.e. vodka made me do it!) I ate half a slice. I stopped myself and threw out the rest. I logged everything and still came out with 40 calories leftover.
Today's plan- B: breakfast bowl S: watermelon L: chicken burrito bowl S: yogurt and cherries D: parmesan crusted salmon, roasted potato and broccoli

Today H requested the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I ordered off the skinnylicious menu (a salad with goat cheese and asparagus) and skipped dessert. I told H I would want one bite of his cheesecake and I stuck to it. I did sneak a couple bites of my daughter's pasta (pasta is my kryptonite.) I'm still good on calories and planning to work out tonight.
I do plan on having a treat this week. Otherwise, I would have ordered dessert.

I just want to vent for a minute...
I am my own worst enemy. I do really well food for breakfast and lunch, but once I need to start making my kids dinner it all goes to hell. They eat around 5/5:30 and I cannot stop myself from snacking on their pasta and snacks. I pre-track my dinner (we eat late, around 9 usually) so I am generally out of spare points before the kids even eat. I just can't stop myself from eating little bites of everything. I know I shouldn't do it as i'm doing, but I still do it. It's frustrating because I know this is my main weight loss problem, but I just don't stop doing it. Arggghhhh. I also snack on veggies before my husband gets home because i'm hungry, then when it's actually time to eat, I'm not that hungry, but still eat all the food. I JUST LIKE TO EAT, OKAY!!

I read somewhere (here or on WW) that someone logs a point for every bite they take of their kid's food. I haven't done that, but when I'm about to take a bite of his food (almost did tonight) I think about that point and making myself log it and it's usually enough to discourage me.

((hugs)) the struggle is real! And my kids pretty much live on carbs, so it's hard not to just sneak in a bite of mac & cheese or a handful of goldfish.
Can you come up with a plan for dinner time? Like brush your teeth before you serve them dinner? It sounds like it's more of a habit that you're in than a willpower issue.

I'm down 1.5 lb from last week! And I'm just feeling better in general. Last night there were 3 pieces of pizza leftover. I ate 2 and my kids shared 1 (along with some fruit salad). Honestly, I would have eaten a 3rd slice if it was there. But 2 was more than enough. And because I didn't feel "stuffed" I was still able to workout after the kids went to bed. I did a strength workout and a 1 mile walking video. Then after my workout I had a glass of wine and some skinny girl popcorn.
Today's plan: B: chocolate peanut butter oatmeal (it sounds better than it tasted, but wasn't bad. 1/2 cup of oats cooked in the microwave w/ water, 1 tbsp. of PB, 1/2 tbsp. of unsweetened cocoa powder & 1 tsp of honey = 275 cals) S: peach L: burger, chips (cookout at work - since I plan them I also got a big watermelon to slice up instead of cookies for dessert!) S: yogurt D: salmon (what I was supposed to cook yesterday before laziness took hold!)

redbears that's tough to be hungry and avoid snacking. Can you mice your dinnertime up? I know you poetically want to eat with yh and after the kids are in bed but maybe this is part of your journey. Can you eat with the kids and have a healthy snack when you sit down with yh? Or 2 small dinners?

I'm down 1.2 this week, which is great considering I had a high weekend and my period. I have lost 13 pounds and I'm getting really close to my back to work goal of 15. I'm wondering if I can shred this week and get there. Either way I'm feeling proud.

Also, I went shopping today and found that xl is once again comfortable and in some cases, baggy. I know that really depends on the cut, but st my highest I couldn't wear about 75% of xl. Today was nice.

Hit my 5% today. I wasn't expecting to hit it because I haven't bee tracking at all. But, with my breakfasts and lunches being identical every day, and 4-5 out of 7 dinners the same, I guess it works out? Plus I have let myself have tastes of treats but didn't go overboard. Down 9 total since beginning of June.

Back home from vacation and I am dreading getting on the scale tomorrow. H said he might wait a few days, but I need to know!! Haha. I don't think I ate TOO bad, but tracking is hard eating out for dinner. I had alot of seafood, but wasn't great on water drinking

Have you had a faux loss? Where you've done everything wrong, and you still lost weight.
That was my week! Weigh-In days are Friday, and that day was fine. Saturday, I lost Internet! I live in the boonies where without my Internet, my cell phone booster doesn't work and I don't have cell signal! We had planned a healthy dinner but ended up eating out because we needed a new modem and the closest place that had it was over an hour away. We didn't get internet back till Sunday afternoon. My husband went back to work overseas for a month and after I dropped him off at the airport, I got home to no internet! No internet till Tuesday. I tracked everything and was -25 in weeklies. #nsv is I know how far over I was! But I got right back to business and ended the week -12 and lost 1.6!?! How did I lose with such an awful week?
Edit because words are hard

@chelshie6, yes, I've had weeks when I thought for sure I would see a gain and instead saw a loss. Those are nice. I hate the weeks when the opposite happens!

We had brunch with my brother and his gf. I dread going out to eat sometimes because of trying to choose wisely. I think I am making progress in terms of portions and having small bites of things that are out of bounds. I'm also realizing I'm full with smaller portions. Today we are at a buffet, and I felt no desire to go back for seconds. Yesterday I treated myself to a sandwich from my local deli, and where I would have had a large sandwich and chips in the past, I was satisfied with a small sandwich and no chips yesterday.

I agree I used to always give up after 2 weeks because I was tired of feeling like I was starving. This go round I've been feeling good. I feel like I know now how to pick good foods that are making me full. I too get nervous about going out to eat. So far we have done chick fil a and I stuck with salad and pizza. If we know ahead I will put it in to track and plan the rest of my day around

You would think it would have a lower limit warning for things like that!
I am debating if I am going to continue on my cut or give myself some more food for my next training cycle. Sucking has been annoying lately.
