I lost almost 2 pounds this week (1.8). I am 3.2 pounds from my next goal which I wanted to hit by 8/10 (teachers back to work) but if I make it by 8/22 (first day of school) I'll be happy. I will be high today because I'm going out for my birthday. I'm going to not worry about calories too much, but it helps to have seen a loss this morning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Happy birthday ! Sounds like you are in reach of your goal

I weighed myself today and was 2# lower than my Monday weigh in. Here's hoping I am still low on Monday

I finished week 11 of my half marathon training and ran 7 miles this AM. I had a good day yesterday with my nutrition. Today's plan: B: baked oatmeal S: cheese stick, cantaloupe, Gatorade L: turkey sandwich, 100 cal pack of chips S: watermelon, yogurt D: honey Sriracha chicken w/ rice & broccoli Going to a friend's house after dinner to hang by the fire pit, so I'll probably snack a little there & have some wine.

I did well all day yesterday with my nutrition until after dinner where I had a margarita w/ chips & salsa, then wine at my friend's house. I ended up eating about 2800 calories, but had 250 to spare b/c of that long run. Today I'm drinking by the pool (hair of the dog...) and had a lobster roll a/ fries for lunch. Some days are worse than others. But I did meal prep this AM! I have 4 breakfast bowls of eggs, potato, broccoli & 1 slice of bacon and 4 chicken burrito bowls for lunch! So, I'm ready for a good week.

copperboom, that's awesome! I hope you stick to your plan and make your goal! I hope you had an awesome birthday. Sunny41, I find I'm lightest on Mondays. But my weigh in day is Friday... go figure. Ali7P, lobster rolls are actually not bad in calories (points) but remember this is life. Some days are bad but it's a matter of not turning that bad day, bad meal into a bad week/month/year! Lol

I ate (and drank) what I wanted yesterday and it was wonderful. This morning we went to brunch and I had some heavy stuff, but really small portions, so I'm hoping to salvage the day. My stomach is a little upset from all of this. I'm ready to get back to normal. MIL leaves tomorrow morning.

I hope you had a very Happy Birthday copperboom. We are on vacation, but H and I are trying to stay on track. We brought 12 gallons of water to keep us with water drinking. Haha. It is hard to track specific points with eating out, but I am trying to make good choices. WE bought a lot of fruit and things at the grocery store for breakfast and lunches. We usually go out for dinner...the other night we went to an Italian place and they make their own pasta! I usually get the chicken parm, but instead went with clams over linguine in a white whine sauce. And then last night, I had swordfish topped with spinach, tomatoes and pine nuts.

I ended up doing OK yesterday. I ended up 200 calories over for the day, but I'm still counting it as a win because I tracked everything and still made some healthy choices (except for the lobster roll/fries at lunch! lol!) I was craving something sweet like ice cream at the end of the day, so I made banana-berry swirl (kinda like the Daniel Tiger recipe!) with frozen bananas & berries, I blended them up with a little coconut milk and ate it like ice cream. And since I made it after the girls went to bed, I didn't have to share with anyone!! Today's plan: B: breakfast bowl, coffee w/ coconut milk S: yogurt & water melon L: chicken burrito bowl, cherries S: cheese stick & veggies D: sriracha honey chicken, rice & broccoli (leftover from Saturday) I couldn't drag myself out of bed to workout early, so I'll hit the gym tonight for a run (unless it's cool enough to run outside)

::shakes fish at sushi:: Damn you for an inflated number this morning.
Ok, it was actually the soy sauce. Tomorrow will be better once I flush out the extra sodium. My official weigh in day was yesterday anyway and I was lower than my goal, so it's all good.

Ugh, awful weekend! Our modem died, so no internet for 24 hours. I basically ate my way thru! Now Monday, DH leaves for work (he'll be gone 4.5 weeks in Africa) and I have no weeklies until I restart on Friday. I will be working out Tuesday-Thursday. (Not today because I'll be dropping DH off at airport)

And yep, soy sauce does it every time.

Hope you had a nice birthday, copperboom! klw - Enjoy your vacation! AFM, this weekend was a bust. Definitely didn't make great choices. Well, I made okay choices based on what I had in front of me. We were at cookouts both afternoons and neither had many healthy options. Avoided all the bread, ate as many veggies as I could, and avoided drinking at all. But it's a new day! Time to chug as much water as possible and get this salt outta here! GhoatMonket - Soy sauce is my nemesis. So good! Our Chinese place will put any sauce on the side, so I've been ordering steamed garlic green beans with the brown sauce on the side. I find I eat barely half of what they give me and don't miss it. Now sushi... well, I need some soy with sushi.

I was not very well-behaved this weekend. I had two higher days. But MIL left this morning and I prepped some snacks and meals. I am also going to work in my classroom this afternoon which will be a good test of my water drinking habit.
I am just hoping to not have a gain when I weigh in this Saturday.

I even did the reduced sodium. See if I try that hard next time.
Fortunately I track weekly averages, and today is the first day on mine, so it will work out ok. I'm not mainlining sodium today, so that will help.

I finished a day the right way, good on calories, great on water (including while I worked in my classroom, which is a victory) and I just had a great workout.
Two NSVs that occurred to me tonight (and after this weekend, I might need to look back on these):
My workout is getting easier to do at a higher intensity. At first, I was just trying to hit a certain time on the elliptical, but now I'm able to maintain a higher level.
Second, my knees aren't hurting anymore. At my heaviest, I was starting to have some knee pain just in day to day activities. I haven't felt that in weeks/months(?)
Now I get to watch the GoT that recorded last night while MIL was here!

My Achilles heel is licorice. I love twizzlers and red vines. I just rediscovered sugar free jello. It's not a filling food but a way better option

I had another good day yesterday. I got to the gym and jogged 3 mi on the treadmill, then did another mi on the elliptical because I wanted to finish listening to a podcast. I ended my day with 300+ calories to spare. Today's plan: B: breakfast bowl S: yogurt (if needed, the breakfast bowl kept me very full yesterday) L: chicken burrito bowl S: veggies & cheese stick D: either salmon or the chicken bowls I prepped last week (I have 2 in the freezer) S: fruit, maybe popcorn And I got up early and did Killer Body - Core (Jillian Michaels workout)

I had a good day (so far). I had to add extra food to dinner to get to a reasonable number of calories, so I mixed half an avocado (chopped) with chopped tomato for a salad. I'm going to take a walk later to get a break from the elliptical and because it is a nice night.
I had a nonscale victory today. I was at a meeting all day and went to lunch with some friends. I ordered off the menu, made some substitutions and avoided adding extra sides to an already big enough meal. I thought I'd feel deprived watching them have things I didn't allow myself, but I was satisfied and felt good about my choices later.

Another good day yesterday, in spite of a last minute dinner plan change. My parents decided to bring dinner. My mom made a sausage and spinach frittata and salad. I had two helpings of salad w/ light dressing and a small piece of the frittata. I have no idea what the nutrition stats on it are, but I went with something on MFP that was 270 calories. And I had a glass of wine, but stuck to just the one (I usually like to have 3... ) Today's plan - B: breakfast bowl S: watermelon & cantaloupe L: chicken burrito bowl S: veggies, yogurt D: we're going out but probably salad or I'll share a sandwich with MH. And drink, I usually drink vodka/soda when we go out. I got out for a 3 mile run this morning!

Oh, and my toddler tried to sabotage me yesterday! She loves feeding people, and she started shoving oyster crackers in my mouth. I ate 3 without even realizing it! I think that's the true definition of "mindless eating"! lol!

I started adding jillian Michaels workouts to my routine. I usually walk/jog as my main source of exercise, but I really need to focus more on toning/losing inches.

So my internet has been mostly out till yesterday, I didn't realize I didn't know the points to so many foods as I usually use the barcode scanner. (I live in the boonies and without internet my cell phone booster doesn't work so no data either from Saturday till yesterday morning.) I'm at a -20 in weeklies so I'm busting my butt today and tomorrow at the gym to try and at least have a zero there by Friday!
NSV: I tracked and I know I'm -20 so if they scale goes up or hopefully stays the same, I know why!
DH is back in Egypt till the end of the month... I'm hoping to be at least 8 lbs lighter... with a week in NC with my mom, sister, and her in-laws... 8lbs seems hefty!
