DS is getting a flat spot because he has such a strong preference for one side when he sleeps. I don’t think he has a muscular issue but I’ll be bringing it up to the ped next week. In the meantime I’m trying to get really creative about positioning for naps when I can keep an eye on him. Good times. Same. F is getting a little flat spot on the right side because he always either turns his head that way or totally lays on his right side.

Our nurse just left from her home visit. While she was here she weighed F and he gained 7 oz in the last week. He's still below the curve in height, weight, and head circumference, but he'll catch up :-)

Add us to the only sleeping in the RNP club. She sleeps 6 hour stretches at night and I need to function, so I'm rolling with it.

birkmmm did you have any side effects from the lexapro when you first started? My dr gave me Zoloft but it made me feel more anxious, jittery and have insomnia so I stopped taking it. I feel like I’m doing much better now but I have a feeling when I go back to work I’ll start to stress again and my anxiety may come back I didn’t have any trouble with it, my dr did say he always prescribed lexapro first because it typically has less side affects. Maybe it would be a good option for you

Thank goodness for other moms. And for very sweet grocery cashiers. The timing on when I need to shop while DD1 is in camp keeps meaning that F screams through checkout and needs a bottle in the parking lot. Today a very sweet mom with a little boy took one look at my fussing baby and told me to go ahead of her, even though I had way more things than she did. And the cashier called over someone else to help us get out even faster, while telling me how perfect my baby was.

+1 to the RnP club but only at night. She sleeps in the swing or on me during the day. They're still so little. I'll push the crib transition during September since I go back to work in October.
I'm strongly contemplating moving her to her bedroom this weekend though but still in the RnP. She grunts so much in her sleep. And always fusses and poops around 5:30 but doesn't really wake until 6:30.

jessila DS has been in his own room since coming home from the hospital. I just sleep better without hearing all his little noises.

Their rooms are on the other side of the house so I wanted to keep her close longer plus she's a better sleeper than her ever was.

Lord Disick I haven't seen you around for a while. I hope things are good! Hey, thanks for checking in! All is well here but it's requiring 150% of my attention to not feel like a shitty parent at the moment. I deleted tapatalk awhile ago so I'm still here but not as often and I'm mostly lurking.

We're bed sharing over here, at least until after our trip. He'll occasionally go for a stretch in his crib (to get him used to it), but he naps either on the couch with me, on dad's lap in the office, or in his swing.

I would put her in her room but it’s upstairs and we are downstairs... too much effort for MOTN feeds lol

Oh no! Are you taking any lecithin? If not try to get some soy or sunflower lecithin. It may help with preventing recurring mastitis and clogs

Wahoo! We got approved! Or rather H got approved. They won't take someone on mat leave apparently. Anyways, we have a choice between the used SUV or a new car, so we're going to go check out the car tomorrow and kind of make a choice from there. We'll have a vehicle by this weekend though!

Anyone else have the Snugga-whatever swing whose baby is obsessed with the reflective stuff on the top? F smiles at hers so much more than she smiles at anything else, lol.

I feel like the worst Mum ever.
DD1 was so hard to get to bed last night. I was alone at home with the 2 kids and W was overtired but I couldn’t get her down until DD1 was asleep.
I finally got DD1 asleep after a big stand off about band aids and other distractions. Then 5 minutes later she’s awake crying for a band aid again.
Had I not been so exhausted from her bed time and W still crying at 9pm I would have realized she wasn’t mucking around. I didn’t. I yelled at her and got annoyed. She went straight back to sleep when I put the damn bandaid on.
This morning she woke up and immediately said she needed a band aid. I checked her foot. There was nothing there. Again I thought she was just playing around. I put some lotion on it to placate her and sent her off to daycare.
She comes home today with a huge red swollen foot. It’s fucking infected and looks really sore.
DH is taking her to the dr because dinner is on and W needs a feed.
Worst. Mum. Ever. 😔

Aw don’t be too hard on yourself adeline, it’s so freaking hard sometimes! Also when they are crying about something that doesn’t even seem to exist, you didn’t know! Do you think something is stuck in her foot?

Do you think something is stuck in her foot? The dr thinks it’s from a scratch on the back of her ankle. Probably just got dirty at the park or something. Thank goodness the dr stayed back, we called 5 minutes after closing and he waited! Otherwise it would have been a family outing to the emergency department of the children’s hospital where we would have caught 10 other things while we waited to see someone.

Sorry adeline, that sounds like an exact battle we’ve had at our house with DD and I would have handled it the same way. You had no way to know her invisible injury was real this time. Don’t beat yourself up over it!
