My NST looked good but my cervix clamped back shut. I'm scheduled for an induction for tomorrow night, which means I won't be able to deliver in the birthing center part of the hospital like I planned unless this baby decides to get with the program like tonight 😭

That sucks. I’m sending all the labor vibes your way.

This kid has pooped 4 times in the last 2 hours. Jeez. I’m not used to this. Formula made DD1 a little constipated so she never did this.

L is doing much better now that I've been avoiding dairy for a week, and I made the mistake of telling H that he hadn't projectile vomited in a while.
So of course he puked all over me, himself and the bed while I was getting ready to put him down for the night. Even my bra and underwear were soaked through my clothes.

My parents have been here the last few days, I love having them around. They leave tomorrow and I’m already so sad about it! It’s so hard being far away

It's finally happening! My water broke in spectacular fashion this morning. Currently hooked up to the monitor in triage and contractions are about 3.5 min apart

I'm being monitored, baby is being difficult. I'm having contractions about 3 min apart and he's had some late decels. Hopefully things will move in the right direction

Okay, so real talk - I know that I have a pretty good baby, but am I a total oddity for finding my life at home with him not difficult in the slightest? There's been maybe 2 times that he was crying when I was trying to eat and I threw my hands in the air and then H went and calmed him so I could down my meal, but that's really the worst of it.

Beware the trick baby. O was a happy baby who didn't sleep. Now I have a finicky and loudly opinionated baby who sleeps a little bit better. Babies are much easier than toddlers especially if they love their carseat. I hope that DD learns to love her carseat. Taking her anywhere involves a good deal of screaming.

I had a super happy and content first baby. He is a WILD TODDLER 😆 soak it up now mama. Now E is a very high needs difficult baby. So it’s a complete 180 for me and I’m struggling with the newborn phase this time. So maybe I’ll get lucky and she will be a calmer toddler? Wishful thinking.

B was the same way as a baby. Easy happy but didn’t sleep long. E is a difficult baby who sleeps longer stretches. Both hated/hate their car seat.

Both mine have hated car seats/rides DS was a super “easy” baby but like everyone else said toddlers are.... something of a different story haha. Gem isn’t a hard baby necessarily but more difficult than my son was. I also will add they’re only 1- 2 mo old rn...I feel like it gets more complicated as they get older

I brought Gem to the pediatrician today because she has had a weird rash for a week now ... they said her rash isn’t anything to worry about and will clear up on its own but they did find she has an ear infection. She hasn’t had a fever or anything :/ ... our pedi had one of the other ones in the office double check because she’s so little and they didn’t want to unnecessarily give her antibiotics but sure enough she has one. Poor babe

I'm definitely expecting him to get worse. If he's like how he was in my belly, and especially if he takes after his dad, he's going to be wild. But I keep hearing how the newborn phase is "so hard" and I'm like "I don't get it?" Lol

My first is awesome, even now at 7. The middle? No limit soldier all the way. A2 is pretty easy, aside from the hating to be put down thing (we’re working on it).

I'm going to guess people are referring to the functioning on zero sleep with newborns because that's the hard part. Also if they scream for hours on end and you have no clue why. That's hard.
