DS1 was diagnosed with what they suspect is hand, foot, & mouth. Send wine my way but more importantly send good thoughts that DS2 doesn’t get it. It’s gonna be a long week/weeks 😫 HFM is the worst I’m sorry!!

Praying that it's a mild case and doesn't get passed around. It's going through my other BMB right now. Tis the HFM season?

Looks like we're going to be forced to look for a new (to us) vehicle. The breaks just seized on our car and if we take it to a mechanic we'll need to do some body work to it too, and it isn't worth it. Going to go down to the dealership tomorrow and see what, if anything, they can do for us.

I keep trying unswaddled naps and they do not go well. I’m getting worried for daycare even though it’s a month away. Our daycare has swaddles they use for naps. Maybe yours does, too?

I've been MIA lately. My evenings are a time suck and I tend to work on my pumping breaks. I've also been struggling a bit. I think possibly some PPD or PPA. I'm nervous to call my doctor up, but will attempt tomorrow. I get so agitated and angry so quickly, but I'm not sure what is PPD 9r if it's just because I have a newborn and a 3 yr old.

Probably for the best that you reach out. It can only help.

F was absolutely inconsolable since we got home this afternoon. He would only settle down for a few minutes and then he'd start screaming his head off. The longest he slept was maybe a half hour. His cry was getting so weak and pathetic. Finally did our shower, lotioned him up, put his jammies on, and H gave him a little bit to eat and he's snuggled up with me snoozing. I'm just worried because H and my mom both had some tummy troubles (diarrhea). F doesn't feel warm, but when I dug out our brand new thermometer, the battery was dead.

Great news. Tests revealed W has a virus so it’s unlikely she has a dairy intolerance!

I’ve done it for 4 days and I’m embarrassingly excited I don’t have to continue. I would have done it for her, but sooo glad for both of us I don’t need to!!

Unfortuantely, no. No swaddles allowed in ours as recommended by the AAP and APHA safety guidelines for daycare settings. Sleep sacks only. I understand the rationale but boy does it suck.

I would call your doctor ❤️ I was feeling very similar, just on edge, very agitated just not my like myself. My husband mentioned that I had been very snappy so I ended up making an appointment and talked to my dr about it. They put me on 10mg of Lexapro and I honestly feel so much better.

Guys, keep your fingers crossed for us. We left our details with the dealership and we're waiting to hear back if we get approved or not. We're looking at a Kia Borrego, which has 3 rows of seats!! We've had a dinky little car for so long I'm not sure what we'd do with all of that room

birkmmm did you have any side effects from the lexapro when you first started? My dr gave me Zoloft but it made me feel more anxious, jittery and have insomnia so I stopped taking it. I feel like I’m doing much better now but I have a feeling when I go back to work I’ll start to stress again and my anxiety may come back

Why is it the law of babies that the second you put a clean diaper on them they poop or you put on a clean outfit and they spit up on it. Ugh.

Ugh. Sleep isn’t going well here. Right now she will only sleep sometimes in the stroller, swing or RNP. But mostly she prefers us. If you put her down in the crib she wakes right up. No matter how long she has been asleep. It is like she knows.

All nighttime sleep is in the RNP in our house too.

No matter how long she has been asleep. It is like she knows. We're bedsharing because he'll only sleep on us. He hates laying flat. DD was the same way but slept better once she was a little older and could lay in her stomach I didn't get a RNP because a good friend's daughter had some flat spots and torticollis that they attributed to all the RNP sleep so I'm paranoid, but I know plenty of people use them with no issue Sleep is precious at this stage. Do what gets you sleep

mrsweasley So right now we go to bed and she goes in the rock n play. Around the first feeding around 2-3? I bring her to her room to nurse and she ALWAYS falls asleep on me in the recliner. I fall asleep too. Around 5 we wake up, nurse and try to go back to sleep in my bedroom. She goes back in the RNP. Hopefully it works bb

DS is getting a flat spot because he has such a strong preference for one side when he sleeps. I don’t think he has a muscular issue but I’ll be bringing it up to the ped next week. In the meantime I’m trying to get really creative about positioning for naps when I can keep an eye on him. Good times.
