I don’t know what’s wrong with W but she won’t sleep at night for me.
Today was not a good example of sleep for our house. DD (almost 3) dropped daytime naps recently so fell asleep on the couch at 5pm and could not be roused for the evening. So it’s 4am and she’s up for the day.
Not to worry, W has been awake since 10pm except for a 40 minute sleep at around 2.30am.
What. The. Fuck.
I actually cried yesterday because I knew W would have a disturbed night when she wouldn’t go down for a nap, so I wouldn’t get any sleep again. I was right.

adeline that’s so rough. I hope things take a turn for the better soon! I’m lucky to have the boys do a 5 hour then 4 hour stretch at night. However, they’re waking up for good at 5,30 and wanting back to back feedings for 2 hours or so. Between that and getting DD ready for nursery school, it’s a noisy household.

Baby refused to sleep in her bassinet last night. We had one 3.5 hour stretch when she was sleeping on me. We've ended up with her sleeping on my chest for part of each night and I'm fine if it's just one stretch but it can't be the whole night. I don't sleep well that way and she needs to learn to sleep by herself at least for a bit.

We had a very weird evening/night! M nursed almost non stop from 8.30p-1.30a. I even gave her a bottle of formula because my boobs were just done done ! And then she slept until 7am ...

I think we’re growth spurting over here. So much nursing yesterday and overnight.
Luckily V is still asleep in his room. Hopefully he stays there for the next hour and a half.

I was googling last night “6 week growth spurt” bc this past week has been hell. But she did have 2 decent nights this week. She always sleeps good once she is asleep it’s just the getting her to sleep part that is killing me.

I can't even complain because L falls asleep fairly easily and sleeps well overall, it's just the number of wakeups. With V I would be up for 1.5 hours minimum each time he woke up, and he was up way more often, so this is more doable.

F is doing awesome with feeding and I have a great supply. His blood sugar was a little low, so she had me feed and then we hand expressed a little more and he got that too, and then he got wrapped in a warmed blanket. She's going to recheck his sugars in a half hour and hopefully they'll have gone up. H and I got some good sleep in between feedings. He went back to sleep and I'm going to in a little bit as well. Trying to make the most out of Fs sleepy phase!

DS took like 2 hours to fall asleep last night (but he was at least happy while he was awake) but then he rewarded me with a nice long stretch, so now I don't know how to feel...

Night one was not really a success here. Everyone is alive so maybe that’s enough? I’m going to borrow a rnp from a friend today and see if that helps. I think this baby would be very into it but at least I can make sure before we spend the money.

This is my life every night. E takes 1-2 hours before we can lay her down then she does a great long stretch. It’s so weird bc during the day I can put her down for a nap in 5 minutes and most of the time I put her down awake and she puts herself to sleep. But for her first stretch of night sleep she makes us hold and rock her for an hour until she is deep asleep. It’s exhausting. She also treats what id like as bedtime (7-8pm) as her last nap so then we aren’t getting to real bedtime til 8:30-9:30pm.

I’m usually up for 2 hours MOTN when DS2 is up between changing him, feeding, putting him down, then having another wet diaper to change, and then nursing again to get him sleepy enough to put down.
Sleep feels a lot better though than with DS1 who would wake up unpredictably as early as 30 minutes after falling asleep. I felt like I was being hazed or something.

MH went home to do bedtime for DS1 and hopefully actually get some sleep himself- he’s a terrible sleeper away from home. It’s relieving not to worry about anyone’s needs but mine and J. I know that is a time limited luxury.

Tonight was a little rougher. F slept pretty much straight away after I fed him at 9 and 12:30, and I had to wake him up for 12:30 and then again at 4. Got him changed and started feeding him just past 4 while H went to let the dog out. H called freaking out because he had locked the keys in the house in his haste to get out. After that, F just wouldn't fall back asleep no matter what we tried, and just kept crying. H finally just got him to fall asleep almost 2 hours later.

I’ve realized that the only reason this kid wakes up is because he poops. I couldn’t figure out why he was still sleeping this morning and then Realized that he hadn’t gone yet.

We are both light sleepers and he snores, so it was actually kind of nice to have him well rested, and to do my own thing in the hospital room.

If I have to stay past tomorrow for some reason, H is going to go home to sleep. Although I was glad he was here to help me this morning because man was I hurting. They forgot to bring me my tylenol and the dilaudid was taking forever to kick in once I did get it. He literally had to help me off of the bed and off of the toilet.

RNP was a game changer for us last night. We were up 4 times MOTN but she fell right back asleep and stayed asleep afterwards. I could kiss that thing.

This babe doesn’t like it but we are ok in the dockatot for her.

Add me to the Rock and play user list. The first night we just tried putting him down in his crib, but it resulted in not great sleep for anyone, so he's been in the Rock and play since. DD was the same way and we'll just break him of it when we sleep train.

Deal with it later.

We had a good night! Rare so far. A 4 hour stretch (longest ever) then 2 wake ups and back into the cot, and now up for DD’s 3rd birthday. W was super overtired, so not ideal but at least it got us some night time sleep!

I’m here. Its E’s first wake up. Her nights have become pretty consistent. She usually wakes between 2-3am and then again 5-6am and then up for the day between 7-8am.
She fell sleep around 8:30pm while i was rocking her but started to get restless on my shoulder around 9. I nursed her a quick snack and had DH hold her (reflux). He stormed into my room all mad bc she was restless w him and he hates the swaddle I used. So I switched the swaddle. He leaves. Storms back in and is like she won’t sleep. So I nursed her again.
Yeah dude she isn’t sleeping bc you made me change her dang swaddle and that woke her up completely. And you’re not using the white noise app like i told you to.
