I wore my pants backwards to boot camp today. I realized it once I got there, but it’s outside, so there was no option but to roll with it.

When my kids got money for birthday/Christmas/etc when they were babies, I would use the money for bills if money was tight. What’s a 6 month old going to do with cash? I always felt terrible I never put it into a savings for them but hey, diapers ain’t cheap.

On time in college, a friend of a friend offered us coke. It was my first time ever having the opportunity, so I did. Turned out it was powdered laundry detergent or something very much not coke.

There’s not much point in a baby having a savings account if the electricity is off, but we’ve had this debate before, and I don’t think this will go well for you. I’m putting my stake here. I side with you. But if money’s not tight, then that’s wrong.

Our kids to have savings account now and if they get money for any event then I make them put some in savings and then I offered to take them to the store to get something that they’ve been wanting. But when Maternity leave is unpaid and your husband can’t get enough hours You have to do what you have to do.

The birthday discussion yesterday reminded me that I forgot my DH birthday for a few hours this year. I remembered the night before but after a haze of newborn sleep overnight. I didn't think of it in the morning. He made a sixteen candles joke before it entered my brain. I bought a nice bottle of wine and steaks when he was at work.

Until fairly recently, I thought these people were the same person. I didn't really understand how it was possible that Fergie had a musical career and two grown children with Prince Andrew, but I just assumed she made it work somehow.

Omg notblanche I'm dying. Up until recently we usually just put small bills for the kids in our wallets but we put at least that amount in a 529 plan. Recently we got DS1 a piggy bank for that money.

Now I feel better that I didn't know that childish Gambino and Donald Glover are the same person.

I farted at my desk really loud yesterday and tried to cover it up with a cough.
I don't think it worked and that's all I got.

I also don't have any real feelings on using child's money for bills. I've done it. I'm not pocketing all of his money ever, but I also buy him plenty of shit that he doesn't actually need so whatever. I took some money from his allowance stockpile for my pedicure tip the other day. But I'm not going to take a big birthday check of his to spend on a fancy handbag or whatever.

I cried this week singing along to Hamilton.
Not to the romantic songs. Not the song when his son dies, or when his wife discovers his affair.
I cried over the patriotic battle of Yorktown song. 😂
IT WAS INSPIRATIONAL AF

Have used kid gift money for bills when necessary. Honestly I would probably judge someone who didn’t if it was a dire situation..like I’m not about to not pay something or have my kid be hungry and just set $100 for a 6 month old in a savings account....

Work guy and I were casually chatting on Monday about my new job, pros and cons, comp packages, weird bonus structures, stock options etc. he gave me some vague variables and the next day I calculated his salary.

I give negative fucks about parents spending kids money on bills. Seriously. All gifts for baby went into my fucking bank account. Hopefully some of it made it to my savings account. Which will pay for every fucking thing my baby needs. Fuck off with your “it’s wrong” declarative statements. Everybody do you and leave the guilt at home. Thanks.

Yesterday I made coffee in my Nespresso but I forgot to put a cup under the spout. Twice. I guess I forgot the first pod and walked away, remembered my coffee and popped in another pod. I only realized my stupidity when I walked into a puddle of coffee on the floor. 🤦♀️

If money is tight and I get cash for my baby, I would be buying diapers/formula/etc. but I’m not knocking anyone for keeping their lights on.
