It's been such a lovely day. Got some gardening done, now about to make some spaghetti and meatballs. So excited for the 20w scan tomorrow. She's doing some rolls right now and some pops, obviously excited for the spaghetti. I had a meeting today and the lady came to our house for it, she didn't realise I was pregnant and went "oh! When are you due?" When she saw me. That's my first pregnancy comment from somebody that doesn't know me. Nice to know that I don't look tubby anymore! LOL, everyone is going to be making spaghetti this week now bethkate

misskilljoy you may have an anterior placenta this time, which would explain not as much movement. I found out at my scan that I have one.

I didn't think the GD drink was horribly awful , the 3hr one is way worse but again, do-able.
I have a friend who doesn't drink soda, high-fructose corn syrup etc so she asked if she could drink apple juice and they said yes- it just needed a certain amount of sugar.

That's what I did when I did testing. I always hit my step goal those days! I wish. We're in regular classrooms with small groups. If we were in the gym I totally would. I just took a potty break including two laps around the floor I'm on. Two students left.

Pdq I haven't been around much. We took J to a specialist in Texas and then drove home to start the new chemo. He finished that Sunday and was doing well. Yesterday he got a fever and my husband took him in. While in the clinic he started to turn very yellow and go limp. He was admitted to the hospital again and had another ultrasound this morning. He has a 104.5 fever this morning with cold hands and feet, so they were worried he had sepsis. He has low white blood cells to fight infection. The liver doctor just came in and said he has secondary sclerosing cholangitis from the LCH and liver damage from the new chemo. I don't know what the plan is, but it sounded like his liver needed to get better before starting chemo again. He may need a transplant, but they won't do that with the active cancer. He's on drugs to support his liver right now. We are in the hospital for a while. I hate this.

I worked a 16 hour shift yesterday. They've already called twice for me to work a night tonight. Ungrateful shits lol. I am DED today. I have a MW appt in about an hour and then my brother is taking me for sushi before he heads back to Toronto. As for who will be in the delivery room, it will use be DH. And I barely want that. I do not like to be talked to or touched during labour. With DS, my ILs were literally in there the second DS popped out. I didn't get to hold him for almost 2 hours. With DD they had to stay home and watch DS. My parents were out of town when DS was born and they came the next day to see DD. Cuz they know about boundaries yo. This is why I don't want MIL to know we are even in labor. She will snatch that baby out of my arms or take it from a nurse lol

I just got banned from a FB bmb. A bunch of women were complaining about the GD drink and saying how they plan to refuse it. I pointed out it's just sugar water and GD is dangerous and choosing to feign ignorance over it because the drink is icky is kind of ridiculous. I got torn apart, told the drink is toxic (it is not), will make me throw up (it did not), pass out (it did not), require being hospitalized (lolwhat?), and then banned. WTF just happened? LOL. Amazing. Similarly, my sister had been in a post about the glucose drink so it came up on my feed. Someone was trying to say that the form of glucose used in the drink isnt real glucose. I was like uhhhh... Glucose is, by definition, one thing. It has a specific chemical structure. There are no "different forms" of glucose.

LOL at the glucose drink causing someone to be hospitalized. Dramz!
It tasted like strong Gatorade to me. I didn't mind it.

Tim Horton's has a new frozen watermelon lemonade and it's really good! Also, hot coffee makes me puke still (thanks baby) so I have to drink iced coffee every morning. It's getting annoying to drive to Tim Horton's everyday. Anyone know how to make iced coffee at home??? quinn the iced coffee I make at home is super easy. I literally just put grounds in water and let sit in the fridge overnight. Then I pour over a coffee filter sitting in a collander because that's what I have at home lol. But also, there are some good iced coffees in the refrigerated section at my grocery store. I can't think of any of the brands I like off the top of my head, though. #helpful.

grumpycat how quick was your first birth? We called my parents and ILs when my water broke at 4 am and they had plenty of time to get down before DD was born late that night.

We called them when we got to hospital around 9pm or so (water broke around 7pm). No contractions or anything so we (and they/my mom ) assumed we had plenty of time lmao. DS was born at 7:43am (after 4 hours of labor). I think they'd pry leave asap this time around. Especially since labor is typically shorter!

I found a 2011 BOB duallie in like-new condition on FB marketplace. It comes with the cup holder attachment. She wants $350 and is firm on price, but for how good of condition it is, and the fact that retail is almost $700, it doesn't seem bad. Plus, I can get the car seat attachment and our Britax car seat will attach. We will be *just* in the window to use that seat before it expires, thank goodness. We already have bases for it, too.
Considering we don't need much gear for this kid, I think I'm getting it.

I would normally think that is outrageous for a stroller, but knowing how much I loved the single BOB, i think it is worth it.

Oh and have I mentioned we are planning a Disneyland trip in January? Our baby and my sister's baby will be super young and still immobile potatoes, so lugging them around will be easy. DD will be almost 4 and I think will just die of happiness.
All the grandparents are coming. We plan to stay at the Grand Californian. We don't live that far but I haven't been in at least 10 years. I am so excited!
