As for who will be in the delivery room, it will use be DH. And I barely want that. I do not like to be talked to or touched during labour. With DS, my ILs were literally in there the second DS popped out. I didn't get to hold him for almost 2 hours. With DD they had to stay home and watch DS. My parents were out of town when DS was born and they came the next day to see DD. Cuz they know about boundaries yo. This is so me. I had a doula with my first and she wouldn't get out of my god damn face telling me I was a strong woman and I can do this. Oh my god I wanted to slap her. So it was just DH with my second and he kind of just stood back above my head, hands to himself and not talking to me. So much better.

My second birth went fast. First contractions at 9 or so and baby at 1. I was ready to push at noon but he was at a weird angle. I am scared about this one.

I would normally think that is outrageous for a stroller, but knowing how much I loved the single BOB, i think it is worth it. sounds like a good deal to me! I'd jump on it!

Oh and have I mentioned we are planning a Disneyland trip in January? Our baby and my sister's baby will be super young and still immobile potatoes, so lugging them around will be easy. DD will be almost 4 and I think will just die of happiness. All the grandparents are coming. We plan to stay at the Grand Californian. We don't live that far but I haven't been in at least 10 years. I am so excited! Awesome! That sounds great, particularly with all of the grandparents. Also, I have only heard good things about Bobs (that's why I got one), so why not. If you don't like it, you can just turn around and sell it again!

you - I am so sorry you continue to have to deal with seemingly more and more issues. I'm sure it is just heartbreaking. Fx he heals up quickly and the chemo can continue.

My parents live about 3.5 hours away and made it to the hospital before I had DS. I had progressed pretty quickly when I got there and then stalled out so they were a little surprised that there was no baby already when they got there.

thatgolfb I thought that the Britax seats don't work with any attachments. That's what we have, and from I understood, they don't work with attachments. But maybe I'm wrong?

Bob is owned by Britax, so they have Britax/Bob carseats even!

Ugh, I am not looking forward to potty training, but I'm really hoping DD will be ready to at least day train by the time she's two so we can try and not have two in diapers. Right there with you. I'm really wanting to not have 3 in diapers. DS2 isn't interested no matter the bribe. DS3 is interested, but isn't able to tell us and gets excited before he goes and stands up.

thinking about this a lot. saw something on FB about a 12 yo girl that got to help the Dr delivery her baby brother.? what do you think about that? I thought it was a bit odd myself. who are you letting in the delivery room for delivery and who have you let stay in the past? Only H will be in there. I have thought about a photographer this time, but I'm not sure. Other than the photographer for DS2, who was a dear friend, it has only been H. Well there was the 30 min for DS1 that my dad sat with me while H ate in the visitor room with my mom.

I've never done a photographer with any of the boys, but it may be nice to do that this time since it's our last.

I worked a 16 hour shift yesterday. They've already called twice for me to work a night tonight. Ungrateful shits lol. I am DED today. I have a MW appt in about an hour and then my brother is taking me for sushi before he heads back to Toronto. This is why I don't want MIL to know we are even in labor. She will snatch that baby out of my arms or take it from a nurse lol I ended up with an emergency c-section, and H called both sets of parents in a panic when they took me out of the room. By the time I got put into recovery he was there with both sets of parents. I held my daughter for maybe a total of five minutes. Did not get to do any skin to skin or breastfeeding because everyone else was busy snatching the baby and passing her around. Then after they put me in a maternity room I passed TF out because I had been awake for over 33 hours, doped on narcotics, been in active labor, and had a major surgery so I was exhausted. I have no idea how long I slept for, but I basically didn't hold my kid until I woke up afterwards. It's my biggest regret of her birth, not standing firm on the "no one in the first hour" rule of thumb.

LOL at the glucose drink causing someone to be hospitalized. Dramz! It tasted like strong Gatorade to me. I didn't mind it. Hell, H took a swig of mine and said it tasted like flat orange soda and that he liked it. People are drama llamas.

I found a 2011 BOB duallie in like-new condition on FB marketplace. It comes with the cup holder attachment. She wants $350 and is firm on price, but for how good of condition it is, and the fact that retail is almost $700, it doesn't seem bad. Plus, I can get the car seat attachment and our Britax car seat will attach. We will be *just* in the window to use that seat before it expires, thank goodness. We already have bases for it, too. Considering we don't need much gear for this kid, I think I'm getting it. Make sure it's not a different attachment then what is being sold now. Older models sometimes don't use the current carseat adapter attachments.

Also, my hip joints are hurting so badly from sitting all day that I turned my seat warmers on for my drive home even though it was 90 degrees out. I might be sleeping with my rice bag tonight.

cnf I don't trust my MIL to not have her own agenda so the only thing on my "birth plan" is no one but MH in the room until I give the ok. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I miss my seat warmers on my old car! I used to turn the a.c. up and use the seat warmers in the summer cause it felt soooo good. I was such a brat when we bought our new car. It's a huge upgrade but I was still "but no seat warmers!?" Lol

I used them last time too to help with back and hip pain, but I didn't need them until third tri then. Oof.

thatgolfb I thought that the Britax seats don't work with any attachments. That's what we have, and from I understood, they don't work with attachments. But maybe I'm wrong? There is a specific attachment for Britax seats, as long as the BOB is 2011 or later. It is on the BOB website but also on Amazon. I double checked that out Chaperone is included, and according to the BOB website it is! It isn't cheap, but it was $100 on the BOB website. 😳

Older models sometimes don't use the current carseat adapter attachments. Yes, the one on Amazon says as long as the BOB is 2011 or later it is compatible and they mentioned the Chaperone. Our car seat is from 2013 so I think it should be fine! They actually have a new adapter for BOBs 2016+.

But that was the problem we had with our last BOB, so I knew to ask. It was a 2007 it something and we couldn't get a snack tray for it because it was too old.
